Story
Adoption donation $525 weight  79 lbs  Age: 1 year as of 3/23/2024              Logan is a friendly and sweet boy who is the quintessential family dog, he adores children and just loves to be with his people. if you sit down, you will likely find his big head nestled on your lap. He loves toys and bones and is a very easy-going boy. Logan is 100% House trained.        Logan definitely needs a yard, this boy loves to be outside! He doesn’t go far, if you call him, he will come right over to you. he is leash trained and if you have a big enough crate, he will go in there for naps.         Logan’s father is a purebred Great Pyrenees and mom is a 35 lb mixed breed. His original owners in Mississippi put two of his sisters in a cardboard box in front of their house with a sign that said “free puppies.” Wags rescued the puppies and found them loving homes. The owners refused to give up Logan and his sister Lila but kept them tied up outdoors. Wags was finally able to  convince them to relinquish the two and Logan and Lila went to the rescue, enjoying freedom for the first time. Lila has just been adopted, now it’s time for Logan to find a loving home of his own.         Logan got along well with most of the dogs at the rescue, although he’s definitely the alpha male and does not like to be challenged by another male. In his foster home in the northeast Logan lives with three females, including a puppy who jumps all over him, and he just wags his tail. We’ve noticed that he does fine with small and medium dogs but tends to get more alpha with dogs his size. For that reason, we would prefer a home with dogs smaller than him or just a home where he can be the center of attention, he really just loves people so much.       Logan has been neutered and is up-to-date on his vaccines. He is a healthy boy who is ready to make a lucky family a very loving companion. All Wags adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip  and transport to the northeast. Story
Crosby is a gentle giant. He is a very kind, loving, and experessive dog. He is best known for two things, his extra extra large size, and his extra large smile. He is 155LBs, and very tall as well. He is a Great Pyrenese at heart, and true to his breed, he is a protector and will bark to let you know of people walking outside of his fence, dogs, walking, the mail man, etc. He is certainly a barker in that way, however not in general when hes inside (unless he'd really like that treat you're holding). Crosby will do best in a home with one person or a couple with teenage children or older. Crosby is extremely kind to kids of all ages, but is very large and can be a challenge to understand how to play with for little ones. He loves walks, and does great on the leash! He loves to play in the yard, and have a good bone once in a while. He does not get the time and attention that he needs and deserves and finding the right home for him is with his best interest at heart.

Story
Marshall was born on 10/28/21. We got him from a breeder in Lancaster,Pa. He is a sweet boy and very gentle. Marshall is an escape artist and keeps getting out. We live in a residential area and it is just not the right environment for him. He needs land, maybe a farm so he can protect the animals. Our yard is just not big enough and it is not fair to him. He is great with other dogs and kids. I am not sure about cats. He is a barker but that comes with the breed. He’s just a good protector. This has been a long, tough decision but we need to do what is best for Marshall.

Story
KENNEL ID #01658&#226&#128&#139 Marius is a cross between two livestock guardian breeds. Marius and his sibling's owners decided a vacation was more important than caring for their 8 dogs. Marius was not socialized very much and takes a while to warm up to you.  He is already a fantastic watch dog. He absolutely loves being outside and keeping an eye on things. He did come from a working farm so he needs an experienced owner that has prior experience with dogs that missed out on early socialization. He is affectionate to the staff that he knows, but it does take some effort on their part to win him over. This is pretty typical for guardian breeds. He will do best in a home without small children who may not understand that he needs some space and time to feel comfortable.  Marius deserves a chance at having a happy home. He just needs the right happy home. He is not an apartment or condo dog. He simply would not do well in a situation where there is a lot of commotion or new people. He would love hanging out with his besties and getting all of their attention all day. Thank you for your interest in rescue. Story
Meet Chelsea! Breed: Great Pyrenees   Estimated DOB: 03/01/2023   Sex: Female - Spayed   Weight: 45-50 lbs   Currently Up to day on all age appropriate vaccinations*GUARDIAN OR WORKING BREED EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO ADOPT* Things To Know About Chelsea: - Chelsea is a purebred Great Pyrenees, as confirmed by an Embark DNA test, and she embodies all the charming traits of her breed, in a petite "pocket pyr" build.- In May 2023, at just 3 months old, Chelsea was heartlessly shoved under a fence at a Mississippi shelter prior to arriving to TLC. Despite her hardships, including a spinal malformation and congenital blindness in one eye, Chelsea's gentle demeanor never wavered. Her medical journey has been extensive, with numerous vet visits, tests, and a crucial surgery to improve her quality of life. Dr. Rosen, Chelsea's neurologist at VRC, emphasized that a radical stabilization surgery was essential for her to live a pain-free and happier life. Read all about Chelsea's story on our website: TLCrescuePA.com/BarkingBack.- Due to her previous spinal trauma and comprehensive surgery, Chelsea is incontinent but rocks her doggy diaper! She even gets excited to put it on because it means she gets to do something fun. - Chelsea's surgery surpassed expectations and has been incredibly successful. She now lives a painfree life - running, jumping, and moving like a typical happy pup - While sometimes aloof at first, Chelsea is an absolute sweetheart and loves everyone she meets, especially kids - She has been attending school vistis since she was 3 months old and is now a seasoned pro - Her pyr-like goofiness brightens everyone’s day - Low-medium energy- She enjoys playful times with her toys and self-entertaining antics just as much as taking naps - True to her breed, Chelsea loves being outdoors in any weather- Enjoys going for walks, though she shows typical Pyrenees stubbornness at times- While she is crate trained, Chelsea enjoys sleeping through the night in her cozy, gated space - Dog-friendly, she loves playing with other dogs and lives happily with multiple canine companions- Typical for great pyrenees, Chelsea is a bit bossy and can be protective of her food and toys from other animals. With people, however, she is total softie! - Cat-friendly- Did we mention she is even pig-friendly and loves to spend time with her pig siblings? - Chelsea is looking for a forever home that can provide the love, care, and understanding she deserves, ideally with someone experienced in managing her breed's needs.
