Story
To learn more about Juno, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org Floof? Are you looking for floof in your dog? Well, have we got the boy for you! Meet Juno. We are still getting to know this super sweet boy. What we do know, besides the floof, is that he LOVES being pet and close to people. Given his breed, he is chill and happy to survey the world around him. He has been doing well while in his foster home, even doing all his business outside. How well behaved! Sometimes, though, that world can be a little scary, so he is looking for a family that is patient, loving, and ready to provide mental and physical stimulation. In return, Juno promises to be your best friend forever.

(*Please note that the specific event pages are typically updated on Fridays with information on which dogs will be attending each event.*) Meet Layla, who’s new to Lost Dog. We’re still getting acquainted with her; however, what we already know for sure is that this 7-year-old Great Pyrenees mix is a happy and healthy energetic girl! She’s outgoing and loves meeting new people and playing with other dogs. She can be a bit jumpy in her excitement, so she would benefit from some training—she’s very smart and eager to please though, so she’ll be a well-mannered girl in no time at all. Story
This charismatic and beautiful young 1 year-old, 72 lbs Great Pyrenees girl is called Myra. Found in the Nashville Tennessee area as a stray this girl is now in New England area in a foster home.   We are looking for a mature and settled home that is quiet and will be a leader for Myra and help her to know that she must follow the rules of the household. This girl has a warm and uplifting smile and a huge desire to be petted and given attention. She is wonderful with other dogs and loves to play in a fenced yard.  She is housebroken and comfortable in a home.  We have key suggestions as to how to set boundaries for such a big girl when getting acclimated to a new environment and family. Please contact us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com or leave a text message at 615-661-5333. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 12, 2025, 12:10 pm

Story
Introducing Salt, a charming 2-year-old Great Pyrenees and Lab mix who perfectly blends the lovable traits of both breeds. Weighing in as a big, sweet boy, he embodies the essence of a gentle giant. Salt’s calm and affectionate demeanor makes him not only a wonderful companion but also a source of comfort and joy for anyone lucky enough to share their life with him. Salt is incredibly sociable and does exceptionally well with children, making him a fantastic family pet. His patience and gentle nature mean he can handle the exuberance of young ones with grace. Additionally, he has a friendly disposition towards other animals; he gets along beautifully with both cats and dogs. This adaptability makes him an ideal candidate for a multi-pet household. One of Salt's standout qualities is his intelligence. He has already mastered house training, showcasing his eagerness to learn and please. This makes him an easier pet to manage, as he is well aware of household rules and routines. His playful spirit is complemented by a calm demeanor, making him equally happy to play fetch in the yard or snuggle up on the couch for a cozy movie night. Salt is not just looking for a home; he’s in search of a loving family to share his life with. He thrives on companionship and will undoubtedly bring warmth and happiness to his forever home. Story
When HART first rescued Newton, this gorgeous boy was very shy. Since being in a loving foster home, he has shown significant improvement! He is less shy when meeting new people, and after proper introduction, he seeks out chin scratches and belly rubs. Newton has enjoyed running in the backyard, chasing a ball, and he will certainly need a secure, fenced yard to safely explore and get his zoomies. Newton is house trained, sleeps well at night in his kennel, does not have separation anxiety, occasionally barks but settles down, takes treats gently, and knows basic commands to include 'sit', 'stay', 'wait' and knows to wait for 'yes' and 'OK' before proceeding. He walks well on a leash particularly in the neighborhood and on trails but needs additional training to prevent occasional pulling. He sheds his gorgeous coat once a year and fortunately loves to be brushed with a wire brush to keep it under control. He gets along well with other dogs after a proper introduction and would benefit from having another confident dog in the home. Newton is not at all aggressive and responds to scary or new situations by backing away so he can get comfortable on his own terms. As he continues to overcome his shyness, he has shown that he is eager to explore, have new experiences, and meet new people. Newton is looking for a family that will continue with his training and socialization to ensure he will reach his potential. Inquire about meeting Newton because it will be love at first sight! Thank you for your interest in Newton! Please visit www.hart90.org/petdetail.aspx?ID=16868 to get the most up-to-date and accurate information on this pet, to email the contact person listed for more information and how to meet Newton, or to submit an online application.
