Story
Meet Yuna! She is an adorable 70lb Anatolian Shepherd/Pyrenees mix who would make the perfect companion on all of your adventures. She is already housebroken, knows sit, down, paw, wait, and while the crate is not her favorite place in the world (she would rather be on her dog bed near you) she will go in when needed. Yuna LOVES hiking and adventuring with her humans. She is a sweet girl who is looking for someone to continue to grow her confidence and continue her training. She is E-Collar trained with off leash recall and would thrive in a home as the only dog. Unsure about children still (tiny cute humans confuse her). Curious about cats but unsure still. Her prior human has graciously offered to pay her adoption fee as well as include some training sessions with Pacific Northwest Canine in order to keep up on all of her skills! Come meet this amazing girl today.

Story
Scone is a loving and wonderful dog who is great with all people, children included. She is not terribly high energy but is also not suited to be an indoor only dog, like all GPs. Her favorite things in the world are cuddling, pets, and treats, but she can be a bit of a picky eater. She originally came from a Texas based rescue and the only thing I know about her from that point in her life is that she was found scavenging in a Jack-in-the-Box dumpster. She needs to be the only dog in the house as she is not a fan of other dogs, and while she has lived with another dog for the past year plus, she has started several altercations, mostly based on resource guarding. I would be more than happy to continue to work with her on this issue, however I will soon have children living in the house, and despite her getting along great with kids, I don’t want them exposed to this. While I have full confidence that she will be the perfect pet companion in the right home, I have accepted that this

Story
Welcome Athena to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2-year Great Pyrenees. She weighs about 90 pounds. She has a beautiful coat and the typical extra back toes commonly found in this breed. This is a guardian breed dog. They naturally will protect their flock or family. This breed will do best in a fully fenced yard as they will roam away if there is no fence. She is good with other dogs and will need some more leash work. She would be great with someone that knows the breed and loves it. She should have the natural tendencies of this breed. She had puppies and we adopted them out. We also adopted out the larger male that was found with her as a stray. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccines, healthy, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas anc can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See her cute video!!

Story
Archie is a majestic 4 year old Great Pyrenees mix. He would be happy in a home with a large property, preferably where he can roam, follow his owner around and chase birds. He would need someone experienced with the breed, or at least with very large dogs. Archie loves walks and riding in the car to Starbucks! He does well on a leash, but you must be prepared for the occasional squirrel sighting. He is house trained and can be left alone for 4-6 hours. Archie is up to date on all immunizations and has been to grooming. If you think Archie would be a good fit, I would love to hear from you! When we have a chance to chat, I will share my reasons why I have to rehome him. His rehoming fee will be donated.

Story
Introducing our lovable furry friend! This charming pup is a people-person through and through—ready to soak up all the pets and attention from anyone, including strangers! However, when it comes to little ones, sudden movements and loud noises can startle him a bit. If children are calm and gentle, he's happy to hang out. Although he's not a fan of being carried or lifted up, he's a big fan of canine companions, especially smaller or similar-sized dogs. He's a true protector, but only when needed—stepping up if other dogs are too rowdy or aggressive. Birds? Squirrels? They definitely catch his eye during walks, but with a bit of leash training, he's working on his focus. In terms of energy, he's got the perfect balance—loving outdoor adventures but a total zen master indoors. While he might tug a little on walks, once he settles, he's an excellent leash follower. Busy streets can be overwhelming, so quieter spots are more his style. No guarding resources from people, but he might issue a gentle growl if other dogs get too close. When it's time to travel, he prefers a cozy crate in the car—helping ease those nerves and avoiding any car sickness. One thing's for sure—he's a potty pro outdoors only! Basic commands like sit, stay, paw, and eye contact? Nailed it! And did we mention he's a sucker for ice cubes? If you're ready to welcome this gentle giant into your heart and home, reach out to our team today to make him a part of your family! Story
APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. ABIGAIL is an Anatolian Shepherd mix. She is about 75# and 2-3 yrs old. Abigail has some fuzzy hair with a beautiful fluffy tail that curls over her back when she’s playful. She is house trained and crate trained. She has no interest in cats and is particularly fearful of farm animals. She has not been around farm animals while growing up. In the process of testing her with all the animals, the donkey was the scariest and the noise the pigs made were frightful. After a half an hour walking among the farm animals she became much more curious and about them and calm…even with the donkey. She was a little leery of my sister and me but it only took her a few minutes to say hello. After that, all of us were able to pet her and give her treats. Her temperament is calm, sweet, and adaptable. Abigail has an allergy to Chicken so she is kept on a Blue Buffalo Lamb kibble. She also needs to go outside every 6-7 hours to do her business. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You can ask us about how pre-adoption works and our "trial period." If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. Amelia is an Anatolian Shepherd mix. She is about 65# and 2-3 yrs old. Amelia has shorter hair than her sister and resembles more like a Lab. She is house trained and crate trained. She has no interest in cats and is particularly fearful of farm animals. She has not been around farm animals while growing up. In the process of testing her with all the animals, the donkey was the most scary and the noise the pigs made were frightful. Amelia is subject to ear infections… dogs with floppy ears do tend to have more ear infections…and she has a propensity to jumping fences as high as 5 ft. She will probably need a wooden privacy fence. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption.
