Story
Introducing Carl! Carl can easily be described as a gentle soul. He loves nothing more than seeing his favorite people and going for walks with lots of treats. He also loves his football toy! Even at 8 years old, he still has the heart of a puppy. In his short stay at the shelter, he has won over the hearts of staff and volunteers alike. You simply cannot help but to fall in love with him once you see his soulful golden eyes. Carl is, simply put, one special dog who is deserving of a good home. Carl being the dream that he is, one can wonder, why is he still at the shelter? Unfortunately, Carl came to us experiencing medical complications that have made finding the right adopters a challenge. Carl recently went in to the veterinarian for bloodwork and radiographs after we noted that he had blood in his stools. The veterinarian found a small mass in his rectum that needs further attention. We do not yet know if the mass is cancerous or if it is just a polyp. This would require further diagnostics that we may not be able to cover as a non-profit without some help. He will require an adopter who is invested in his medical needs to get him to live a comfortable life. An adopter who understands that while Carl is a senior and has some medical concerns, he is lovely and deserves a second chance. Carl is selective when it comes to other male dogs, so he would prefer a home to himself or a female dog to share it with. He is also not a fan of kitties. He will come with a reduced adoption fee for the right home. Please, if you are interested in helping Carl and wish to adopt, be sure to fill out our adoption questionnaire at: https://hsjcwa.org/adopt-a-dog

Story
Buggy is a very sweet pyrenees-akbash mix puppy who needs a new home. She was born in November of 2024 and unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances we cannot keep her. She does well with cats and other dogs and loves to play. She's in the process of being potty trained and is doing quite well. She would do well in a home with plenty of space and other animals to interact with.

Story
PLEASE DIRECT INQUIRIES ABOUT ADOPTABLE DOGS TO OUR FACEBOOK. WE ARE CURRENTLY UNABLE TO PROCESS APPLICATIONS VIA EMAIL DUE TO LIMITED STAFF. OUR CONTACT IS THROUGH FACEBOOK MESSENGER. https://www.facebook.com/REDRescueEveryDog/ Katya is a 1.5 year old (DOB 2021), spayed, Great Pyrenees (GP). GP dogs are a livestock guardian breed. Katya has been a very sweet girl in her current caregiver’s home and farm. She likes people she meets. Note: she has had no experience with young children. She lives with other dogs and, in that situation, is considered a lower member when it comes to pack dynamics. She has been good with horses and mule livestock. At this time, she is NOT free-range chicken approved. She has been easy to bathe and groom. When she doesn't like you brushing or something, she'll just gently take your hand in her mouth. That is a very normal GP reaction. Since she is a Great Pyrenees, she barks when outside and can hear, smell, or sense change or predators, as this is a livestock guardians’ job. Like all great Pyrenees, she will dig holes and has dug under fences. This is a thing for many GP. They are an amazing breed but require a bit higher-level dog skills and involvement that create kind pack leadership. Most dogs require a fenced yard. We seek fully fenced yards with a physical, visible fence. Typically, the fence must be connected to the house/ a door in the home, and the dog safe fenced area must exclude driveway and car access. Shock/electronic fences will not be approved for most dogs. A sturdy, high quality crate is also required (due to safety concerns, no wire or soft crates will be accepted. Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate). We will be considering homes in W. Wa and possibly Oregon, no other out of state adoptions at this time. Adoption donation is $450.00 to help cover his neuter, daily care, vetting, etc. THIS DOG IS IN FOSTER CARE IN POULSBO, WA. MEET AND GREETS WILL TAKE PLACE THERE AS WELL. REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTION: - Securely and visibly fenced yard - Sturdy/safe crate, due to the safety hazard wire crates will be not be accepted. Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate). - Western Washington (WA), and possibly Northern Oregon locations at caseworker discretion. No other out of state adoptions at this time. ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adoption please fill out an application here: http://www.rescueeverydog.org/Adoption.php Answers to the application MUST be sent via message on Facebook (we do not receive applications sent via email) 1.
