About Biggie Beautiful Great Pyrenees Biggie arrived with his companion Leontine and we would love to see them go to the same home. Biggie is aptly named as he weighs 119 lb. He has a fluffy tan and white coat and is described as friendly and easygoing. He is 3 years old.

Katya has been a very sweet girl in her current caregiver’s home and farm. She likes people she meets. Note: she has had no experience with young children. She lives with other dogs and, in that situation, is considered a lower member when it comes to pack dynamics. She has been good with horses and mule livestock. At this time, she is NOT free-range chicken approved. She has been easy to bathe and groom. When she doesn't like you brushing or something, she'll just gently take your hand in her mouth. That is a very normal GP reaction. Since she is a Great Pyrenees, she barks when outside and can hear, smell, or sense change or predators, as this is a livestock guardians’ job. Like all great Pyrenees, she will dig holes and has dug under fences. This is a thing for many GP. They are an amazing breed but require a bit higher-level dog skills and involvement that create kind pack leadership. Most dogs require a fenced yard. We seek fully fenced yards with a physical, visible fence. Typically, the fence must be connected to the house/ a door in the home, and the dog safe fenced area must exclude driveway and car access. Shock/electronic fences will not be approved for most dogs. A sturdy, high quality crate is also required (due to safety concerns, no wire or soft crates will be accepted. Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate). We will be considering homes in W. Wa and possibly Oregon, no other out of state adoptions at this time. Archie is a majestic 4 year old Great Pyrenees mix. He would be happy in a home with a large property, preferably where he can roam, follow his owner around and chase birds. He would need someone experienced with the breed, or at least with very large dogs. Archie loves walks and riding in the car to Starbucks! He does well on a leash, but you must be prepared for the occasional squirrel sighting. He is house trained and can be left alone for 4-6 hours. Archie is up to date on all immunizations and has been to grooming. If you think Archie would be a good fit, I would love to hear from you! When we have a chance to chat, I will share my reasons why I have to rehome him. His rehoming fee will be donated.

Grits and determination!! That is the saying, right? To get anywhere you must have grits and determination?? Grits are good for you, ask any Southern mama :) You guessed it, my name is Grits and I have a LOT of determination! I came from the pound with HORRIFIC injuries related to a multiple dog attack :( And boy I was in pain and had horrible infections and was so so skinny and just sad... But the rescue peeps fixed me up! It took several weeks of LOVE, good nutrition, wound care and "heart repair" to return my zest for life and to see the glimmer of hope in my eyes... Now I am all fixed up, healthy and happy and READY for you!! Don't ever let me be out on the streets again, fighting off other dogs to live. Give me your COUCH, an air conditioner and lots of love and treats and I will be yours FUREVER!!! And speaking of fur, well, you know I am a Great Pyrenees and we SHED great amounts, so you must love me more than my hair!!! Weighing 21 pounds as of May 8, 2024, Palomino survived being stranded on the side of a rural road  with her parents, who tragically had ropes tied around their necks and were found deceased. Palomino and her siblings were desperately trying to nurse from their dead mother when they were rescued.  The puppies were split into three groups between three rescues due to the amount of care they required.  Unfortunately, all the puppies were extremely sick when they arrived at the rescue, and shortly after, they contracted parvo. Thanks to dedicated care and her fighting spirit, Palomino was one of three that survived.  Palomino is the leader of her pack.  She is very smart and loving.   Palomino is going to be about 75 pounds when fully grown.  They also have issues with extreme heat due to their coat.  The breed is also notorious fence climbers.   This pup is not being adopted to be a working dog living with livestock.  She wants to sign up for the AC living room.  Palomino still needs to learn how to walk on a leash and would thrive in a home that can provide the training and patience she needs. So the rescue people named me Rascal, which is really not an accurate description of me!! I am SERIOUS :) I am not rascally, I am a pup but I am a good pup! I don't want to cause any drama in my new furever home, I PROMISE :) I have lived on the streets and I know that I don't ever want to be there again! I get my food/water/love/hope and plenty of fun in my rescue but I long for the same from a forever family. I don't think it is too much to ask, I mean look at my face my sweet and innocent face.
