Story
Available in TX! Meet Honey, affectionately known as Honey Boo Boo-a 5-month-old female Great Pyrenees mix with a heart full of sweetness and a playful spirit! Though she was a bit shy at first, Honey quickly came out of her shell and now thrives on attention and cuddles. Honey is super smart and knows exactly when it's time to head to her gated spot for meals and bedtime. While she's not the biggest fan of the crate, she's doing wonderfully in a more open, closed-off space like the laundry room with a baby gate. She's making great progress with potty training and is starting to follow her canine friends to the back door when nature calls. This silly girl loves toys and enjoys zooming around, although balls aren't quite her thing. Honey adores kids and is learning how to play with other dogs-she's even got the resident Lab and older dog chasing after her! Honey would make a fantastic addition to any family looking for a sweet, silly companion with a big heart and lots of love to give. Be prepared to welcome a bundle of joy into your home! Story
Remy was born in Houston on 3/12/2020. We adopted her at nine weeks old and she has been a joy ever since. She LOVES people and does great with guests and large parties. She is calm, independent, relatively low maintenance, and doesn’t need as much exercise as many breeds. She is highly trainable and can do 25+ tricks/commands. She responds very well to positive reinforcement training and is treat-motivated. She is half Great Pyrenees (a livestock guardian breed), so although she is very well-behaved, she can be a barker. She gets along well with other dogs, but has a tendency to resource guard with them (never with people). She showed one instance of food guarding towards our toddler that resulted in a small bruise, which is the only reason we feel we need to rehome her to a 12 yr+ home. Prior to this instance, she was always amazing with kids. She is the sweetest girl and everyone who meets her loves her. We hope she can find a home with people who love her as much as we do!

Story
Animal Profile: Tessa is approximately 2 years old, 49 lb spayed female super blend of Shepherd, Husky, and a handful of other breeds. She joined us along with her three siblings on 1/13/23 from Texas. She is dog friendly and great with people. Ideally, we would like to see her go to a home with a securely fenced yard and a fellow canine companion. Foster Update: If you are looking for a gentle, goofy, happy and super sweet girl, Tessa could be the one for you!  She is really a special girl with so much love to give.  Tessa takes a little time to warm up to meeting new people but once shes does she becomes your biggest fan! She loves to smile, snuggle, play and knows all the best looks to completely win you over! Her eye contact game is on point! Tessa hasn’t met a dog she didn’t like and immediately cozy up to and ask to play. Rain or shine, Tessa absolutely loves being outside in the yard and romping, running and tossing toys around, or just as content lying in the grass watching the birds and soaking up the sun. Tessa loves going on truck rides and exploring things with her foster family. She does really well when left alone at home with her foster sister, but does not like to be solo. The idea family for Tessa is one with with previous dog experience or with another playful well-adjusted dog to help her become comfortable in her new home and live her best life. She has learned sit, wait, drop it, get a toy, down, and her recall is pretty great as long as there are no squirrels in sight! She’s made a lot of progress with her confidence and has pretty great leash manners.  Tessa completed a four-week board and train with K9 Command and she made really great progress with leash confidence and commands. We have no doubt she is capable of learning so much more with the right person providing structure, love, support and consistency. When adopted, Tessa will get an in person training session and lifetime trainer support provided by K9 Command to help get her off to a great start with her new family! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from our rescue partner in Texas and arrived in Seattle area foster care on 1/13/23.August 19, 2024, 12:18 am

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Harley - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name is Harley and it comes from the Old English origin meaning 'Hare Meadow', which represents a peaceful and serene image. Just nothing like seeing a Pyr laying in the yard watching! Unfortunately my elderly owner is not able to care for me any longer but I'm trying not to let it get me down as I look for another family to adopt. Did you know that I came from royalty? The Pyrenees breed came from France where we made our way up from being a peasant farmers dog to the royal court being named the royal dog of France in 1675. Even Queen Victoria had a Pyr. We are strong willed and can sometimes be stubborn but more importantly we are affectionate, patient, confident, fearless and gentle. It is said that we wouldn't make a good breed for first timers but if you're aware of the negative traits (sometimes stubborn & lots of hair) along with the awesome good traits, we could definitely make it work. As a youngster at only around a year and a half old, I do have some basic obedience training, am well mannered, I don't jump up unless invited and have a sweet, loving warm nature that just adores getting 'good boys' from my people. I am a big boy of snowy white fluff. I will need several weekly brushings to keep my royal self tangle free and looking dapper and the vacuum will be an extension of your arm with me around but the reward of my adoring love for you will sooooo be worth it!! A couple of daily 45 minute walks a day should be enough to keep me happy. With that daily exercise in I can do quite well in town with a yard or in the country. I fall into the 3 G category which is Gorgeous, Gentle and Giant. Instinctively nurturing with the flock or family, we do make great family members. Just make sure the couch is big enough for sharing!!! My breed tend to love being with the family and are content to lay at or on your feet or curled up with you on that big enough couch. I'm here to adopt me a family and since you're reading this you must being missing something special in your life too, could it possibly be...ME?!!

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Gordie is in a neighboring rescue that is having a family emergency. If you are interested in adopting him, we will bring him into Hay Dude to complete the adoption. Gordie - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name is Gordie and I didn't come from the best situation. I was very malnourished and still need some extra groceries to be at my ideal weight. As a result I can be somewhat food aggressive with my meals. It would be best to work on this with me but to also feed me separately. With those extra nutrients my coat will be gorgeous in no time! I'm only around 10 months of age, so still very much a youngster yet. With my start in this life I'm sure looking forward to a fresh start with a family that will love me and make me feel safe. I'm looking forward to just being able to be a pup and enjoy all there is in this big ole world. I do get along great with people but with my past, would probably do best in a home without children or with older kiddos. I also do good with other pups and would make a pawsome playmate for a 'sibling'. I'm a sweet boy with a heart of gold who would love to find my forever home. Could it be YOURS?!! Meet Yeti! He’s a big lovable teddy bear who was left to fend for himself by his previous owners when they moved. He LOVES to play in water. He’s very treat motivated and eager to please. He’s pretty docile with other dogs. Yeti has a bad ear infection he’s seeing the vet for, so we’re sure he’ll be more excited about pets once that’s better. Yeti is a big Great Pyrenees mix weighing about 70 pounds at 6 years old.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. Story
Mercedes is available in TX, PNW and NE (Excluding MA) Meet Mercedes aka Benz! Mercedes is a delightful 8 month-old Anatolian Shepherd mix, weighing a sprightly 25 pounds. His recent outing was nothing short of spectacular as he took almost no time to open up, happily allowing pets from adults and kids alike without any hesitation. This playful and energetic pup loves all toys and enjoys running around. While he can be a bit possessive of his toys, he has not shown any signs of aggression. Overall, Mercedes is still very much a puppy and would thrive with more one-on-one training. He may start off a bit shy, but it doesn't take long for his playful and affectionate side to shine through. Currently working on his leash training, Mercedes is making good progress. Mercedes is very comfortable in his crate, making it a great space for him to relax and feel safe. He can be quite vocal when he's scared of noises like the TV, speakerphone, or Alexa. Highly food and toy motivated, Mercedes is great for training purposes. Like most puppies, he loves biting and chewing, so having plenty of chew toys on hand is a must. He enjoys solo time and can be quite independent. While Mercedes can play a bit too rough with smaller dogs, supervision is recommended. Mercedes is looking for a loving home where he can continue to grow and learn. If you're ready to invest time in training and provide a nurturing environment, Mercedes will be a loyal and fun-loving companion. Come meet this sweet boy and see if he's the perfect addition to your family! Mercedes is being fostered in Texas. His adoption fee is $250 in state. For an additional $250, he can be transported out of state. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. Cagney is available in TX, PNW and NE (Excluding MA & NH) Meet Cagney, an Anatolian Shepherd puppy with a heart as big as her future size! This sweet girl loves playing with her puppy pals and is always up for a game of fetch. Her affectionate nature shines through as she eagerly comes when called and enjoys every moment with people, making her the perfect snuggle buddy. Cagney has a very loyal side, and loves to be close to her family. She gets along famously with all her dog friends and is great with cats! Cagney is crate trained & potty trained. Given her expected large size, a home with a yard would be ideal for her to romp and play in. She has mastered the art of riding in a car and is calm and loads up easily. She would be a great companion for those with an adventurous side. She came to us with a broken leg so long hikes or runs may not be the best for her. Currently being fostered in Seguin, TX, Cagney is spayed, fully vetted, microchipped, and on preventatives.
