Look no further than Linus, the delightful 2-year-old Pyrenees with a heart of gold and a personality to match! Linus may tip the scales at a sturdy 57 pounds, but don't let his size fool you-he's all about having fun and living life to the fullest! With his youthful energy and puppy-like exuberance, Linus is always up for a game of fetch or a romp in the park. His playful antics will keep you entertained for hours on end! But despite his love for adventure, Linus also knows how to kick back and relax like a pro. He's mastered the art of being chill, making him the perfect companion for lazy afternoons spent lounging around the house or cuddling up on the couch for a movie marathon. Linus is currently hard at work on his crate training, and with his intelligence and eager-to-please attitude, he's making excellent progress. With a little patience and consistency, he'll have it down pat in no time! One of Linus's most endearing qualities is his gentle and friendly nature. He gets along famously with other dogs and is especially fond of children, making him the ideal addition to families of all shapes and sizes. Linus prefers to have another dog in the household and will climb fences in order to have a friend to play with so it is a must! Linus is best suited for females and smaller male dogs. Story
Available in TX! Meet Honey, affectionately known as Honey Boo Boo-a 5-month-old female Great Pyrenees mix with a heart full of sweetness and a playful spirit! Though she was a bit shy at first, Honey quickly came out of her shell and now thrives on attention and cuddles. Honey is super smart and knows exactly when it's time to head to her gated spot for meals and bedtime. While she's not the biggest fan of the crate, she's doing wonderfully in a more open, closed-off space like the laundry room with a baby gate. She's making great progress with potty training and is starting to follow her canine friends to the back door when nature calls. This silly girl loves toys and enjoys zooming around, although balls aren't quite her thing. Honey adores kids and is learning how to play with other dogs-she's even got the resident Lab and older dog chasing after her! Honey would make a fantastic addition to any family looking for a sweet, silly companion with a big heart and lots of love to give. Be prepared to welcome a bundle of joy into your home! Story
Animal Profile: Tessa is approximately 2 years old, 49 lb spayed female super blend of Shepherd, Husky, and a handful of other breeds. She joined us along with her three siblings on 1/13/23 from Texas. She is dog friendly and great with people. Ideally, we would like to see her go to a home with a securely fenced yard and a fellow canine companion. Foster Update: If you are looking for a gentle, goofy, happy and super sweet girl, Tessa could be the one for you!  She is really a special girl with so much love to give.  Tessa takes a little time to warm up to meeting new people but once shes does she becomes your biggest fan! She loves to smile, snuggle, play and knows all the best looks to completely win you over! Her eye contact game is on point! Tessa hasn’t met a dog she didn’t like and immediately cozy up to and ask to play. Rain or shine, Tessa absolutely loves being outside in the yard and romping, running and tossing toys around, or just as content lying in the grass watching the birds and soaking up the sun. Tessa loves going on truck rides and exploring things with her foster family. She does really well when left alone at home with her foster sister, but does not like to be solo. The idea family for Tessa is one with with previous dog experience or with another playful well-adjusted dog to help her become comfortable in her new home and live her best life. She has learned sit, wait, drop it, get a toy, down, and her recall is pretty great as long as there are no squirrels in sight! She’s made a lot of progress with her confidence and has pretty great leash manners.  Tessa completed a four-week board and train with K9 Command and she made really great progress with leash confidence and commands. We have no doubt she is capable of learning so much more with the right person providing structure, love, support and consistency. When adopted, Tessa will get an in person training session and lifetime trainer support provided by K9 Command to help get her off to a great start with her new family! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from our rescue partner in Texas and arrived in Seattle area foster care on 1/13/23.August 19, 2024, 12:18 am

Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Harley - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name is Harley and it comes from the Old English origin meaning 'Hare Meadow', which represents a peaceful and serene image. Just nothing like seeing a Pyr laying in the yard watching! Unfortunately my elderly owner is not able to care for me any longer but I'm trying not to let it get me down as I look for another family to adopt. Did you know that I came from royalty? The Pyrenees breed came from France where we made our way up from being a peasant farmers dog to the royal court being named the royal dog of France in 1675. Even Queen Victoria had a Pyr. We are strong willed and can sometimes be stubborn but more importantly we are affectionate, patient, confident, fearless and gentle. It is said that we wouldn't make a good breed for first timers but if you're aware of the negative traits (sometimes stubborn & lots of hair) along with the awesome good traits, we could definitely make it work. As a youngster at only around a year and a half old, I do have some basic obedience training, am well mannered, I don't jump up unless invited and have a sweet, loving warm nature that just adores getting 'good boys' from my people. I am a big boy of snowy white fluff. I will need several weekly brushings to keep my royal self tangle free and looking dapper and the vacuum will be an extension of your arm with me around but the reward of my adoring love for you will sooooo be worth it!! A couple of daily 45 minute walks a day should be enough to keep me happy. With that daily exercise in I can do quite well in town with a yard or in the country. I fall into the 3 G category which is Gorgeous, Gentle and Giant. Instinctively nurturing with the flock or family, we do make great family members. Just make sure the couch is big enough for sharing!!! My breed tend to love being with the family and are content to lay at or on your feet or curled up with you on that big enough couch. I'm here to adopt me a family and since you're reading this you must being missing something special in your life too, could it possibly be...ME?!!
