Story
Luna is the perfect mix of playful and chill. Although she`s lived with children under 12 years old and teenagers, she`s been a little sensitive for some handling while at the shelter, so a home without young children may be better. She`s friendly with strangers and her favorite activity is to play ball. Luna knows “sit” already and would love to keep learning her life skills and manners through positive reinforcement based training. Luna lived in a home with a chihuahua previously. Meeting dogs at the Shelter, Luna has been particular about how she wants to interact. She may thrive as the only pup or with a very savvy dog in a home. Any resident dogs should meet at the Shelter prior to adoption. Her next home is recommended to be small animal and cat free.

Story
Meet Bella. This gorgeous husky girl came to the Shelter from a loving family who could no longer care for her. She spent a lot of time outdoors in her previous home and may make a great adventure buddy for someone who enjoys camping and hiking. Previously, Bella lived with another dog and got along well. At the Shelter, she has met with and solicited play from different sized pups. Bella also has experience living with a 3 year old child. Staff have observed that Bella is very people oriented and easy going. Bella’s previous guardians report that she rides nicely in the car.

Story
Gorgeous Kona has lived in a home with 4 other dogs of all sizes, and 2 cats. He got along with all of them, even though the other dogs would bark at him or avoid him. He was very curious with the cats, but never chased them. He`d do well in a home with other animals, especially well in a home when his people were able to be with him quite a bit. Since he`s only lived in one home before now, he may need some confidence building and clear structure in his new home. Positive reinforcement training would be great for Kona and will help him form a bond with his new family, while he learns more basic manners. Kona`s adoption fee has been sponosored by a generous donor and he`s neutered and ready for a chance in a new home and family!

Story
**ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED BY A GENEROUS DONOR**WEIGHT: 80lbs This is Crowley. He's got a face that every mother could love. Even though he's around 80 pounds, he carries around a gentle giant vibe and actually knows how to chill -- which is SO un-Husky of him. He'll happily saunter to the play yard with volunteers and then find the nearest sun spot to flop down and solar charge. Of course, as one would expect with a nearly 2-year-old dog, there are times when playtime and yard zoomies are his activity of choice. So, he's not a total enigma.Crowley has been on several outings with volunteers and is reported to be great in the car, house-trained, and well-mannered on-leash most of the time. While at the shelter, he has made some dog friends, and participates in playgroup with a select group of pup-pals. He's not the "I love every dog I meet" kind of guy, but when it's a match, it's a match! He's a volunteer favorite and even our camp kiddos enjoyed dog-time with Crowley, who basked in the glow of belly rubs and gentle pets. If you like what you hear about Crowley, we've got more info to share! Feel free to call our adoptions desk, fill out an Adopter's Profile online or stop by during Browsing Hours: Wed-Sun 11-5. ??

Story
**ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED BY A GENEROUS DONOR**WEIGHT: 42bs This is Miklo. Look how cute. At only 10-months old, he's just a babyyy, but in a full grown 40-ish pound body. We see some French Bulldog peaking through his face/ears but when it comes to what he truly is -- only his creator knows. What we DO know is that he's got a lot of love to give, a lot of fun to have, and a lot of learning to do. He LOVES walkies, toy play, and staying busy. Once he's tuckered out, he welcomes the pets and full-body rub downs. But at his ripe young age, he'll probably seek adventure over couch time for a little while. Miklo did well with the teenage group of summer campers but scored on the "a bit much" scale for the youngers groups. Again, he's just a baby himself! When it comes to other dogs, again, he can be a bit much. But if paired with another dog who can match his freak, we've seen him glow!Come on in and meet Miklo, if not just to tell him how cute he is. Browsing Hours are Wed - Sun from 11am - 5pm.

Story
Chumuelo is a three year old neutered male with a wonderful personality. He is super friendly and loves to play with balls in particular.  He LOVES long walks. If you know Huskies, you know they love to be active. He and his mom are bonded and we are looking for a home for them together. They play well together and that helps burn off a lot of their energy. Huskies make wonderful family pets, but like most of the working breeds, they do best in specific circumstances. We are looking for adopters who have experience with Huskies or other high drive, highly intelligent breeds (for ex:  Doberman, GSD, Belgian Mal, Cattle Dog, etc) Chimuelo, and his mother, Sky were owned by a family who loved them, but who's circumstances changed to the point where they are not able to give them the attention and care they need.  Luckily for them, they are such wonderful dogs that two neighbors stepped up to supplement the attention the family was able to give. Over time everyone realized the dogs would do best with a single home that could give them what they needed - a place and people to call their own.  The neighbors, Craig and Susan, would each love to take them, but they each have cats, and the dogs are not safe with cats.  These dogs were raised in a family with kids and love them.  Throw a ball for him and he will be your friend for life.We are helping Craig and Susan find the right home for this wonderful pair.  (The original owners have surrendered the dogs to them.) You can fill out an application for either of them and it will apply to both dogs. Please note: Chimuelo needs a home with no cats.Chimuelo is ok with small childrenChimuelo needs lots of exercisePrevious medical records are available for Chimuelo.More information & application [ts=1724137265&src=aap]
