Story
Meet TIBU 4 yrs 55 lbs Tibu, a beautiful blue-eyed Husky who has endured a tough past but is now ready to find his forever home. Tibu was rescued from a family that kept him outside tied on a short leash, beaten and refused basic needs like food and water, Tibu was very afraid when finally rescued. Despite the neglect he faced, Tibu's spirit remains unbroken, and he is one of the sweetest and friendliest dogs you will ever meet thanks to the hard work and dedication of our two volunteers, Francisco and Yuri. Tibu loves everyone he meets and has a special way of making you feel loved with his gentle nature. He enjoys being vocal, but his cute howls are more endearing than loud and repetitive. One of his favorite things to do is snuggle up and give kisses, showing just how affectionate and grateful he is for any attention and love. On a leash, Tibu is pretty easygoing and prefers a leisurely pace over running. He's not particularly into toys but finds joy in simple pleasures like walks and cuddles. When greeting new friends, he might jump a little out of excitement, but his enthusiasm is always sweet and never overwhelming. Tibu is looking for a loving home where he can be cherished and cared for. If you're ready to open your heart to a dog who has so much love to give, Tibu is waiting to meet you.

Story
According to Tamara’s foster mom, “Tamara is a calm and sweet girl,” who is also smart and at times silly and energetic! Tamara’s foster mom also reports that Tamara is a model citizen of the household (i.e., she doesn’t jump on anything or chew inappropriately). She is housetrained, crate trained, knows “sit” and “place,” and loves to go on walks and play with her dog foster brother. Tamara shows affection by licking a leg or hand, chills in her dog bed while her humans watch TV, and hilariously sometimes flips “on her back striking her doggie pose!” At about 8 years old and just over 60 pounds, Tamara is an ideal addition to any household. Are you ready to give her the forever home she deserves? If so, please apply today!November 11, 2024, 2:23 pm

Story
Meet Mila, a young and playful dog. She has already had 4 homes in her short life. We want the next one will be her forever home. Mila loves people and has done well around children. We recommend a home with older kids as she is very energetic and playful. She will need an active home that can give her plenty of exercise. She does well around other dogs her size or bigger. Mila prefers a home without cats or small dogs. She can jump very high so will need a secure yard and an owner who will not leave her unsupervised. Mila is also crate trained, very sweet and loyal. Are you interested in providing Mila with the activity she needs followed by a snuffle session? Adopt Mila, and you'll gain a loyal friend who will fill your life with endless adventures.November 4, 2024, 8:32 pm

Story
Meet Fiyero: Your Energetic Prince of an Adventure Buddy! Looking for a lively and fun-loving companion? Fiyero is here to bring excitement and joy to your life! This high-energy pup is ready to find his forever home where he can thrive and be his playful self. Why Fiyero is the Perfect Pup for You: Loves Playing with Dogs, Large and Small: Fiyero enjoys the company of all canine friends and gets along great with most dogs of all sizes. Energetic: This spirited boy is full of energy and enthusiasm, always ready to charge into new adventures! No Seniors or Very Small Children: Fiyero’s exuberance might be too much for physically unstable seniors or very small children (toddlers), so he’s best suited for a home without them. He would love a family/owner experienced with huskies or similar breeds! Fetch with Rope Toy: His favorite game is fetch, especially with a rope toy. He isn’t a fan of stuffed toys, but he loves anything else that he can chase and tug. High Energy: This active pup needs plenty of exercise and playtime to burn off his boundless energy. Leash Walking: Fiyero was a strong puller on the leash, but his foster family has him walking much better on a leash and reports he is easily trainable. He also has learned "sit" and does it with enthusiasm when treats and meals are involved. Medically Stable:  Fiyero is neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines.  Fiyero had eyelid surgery in early January and his vision is much improved (his eyelids are no longer rubbing on his corneas!).   It should continue to improve over time.   He also has been dewormed and had some preventative flea medication. Wants to Play:  Fiyero was tested with another dog at the shelter, and here is the video https://youtu.be/lSS3HVD7LH8.  We have found he is good with most dogs, but not all.  He really wants everyone to play with him. If you’re ready for a whirlwind of fun and a loyal companion, Fiyero is the dog for you! He’s looking for a loving home where he can be the star of the show and bring endless joy to his new family. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Adopt Fiyero Today! Fill out an application to schedule a meet-and-greet and see for yourself why Fiyero is the perfect addition to your family. Let’s make 2025 the year you find your furry soulmate! Our best guess is he might be a Husky/ Shar-pei mix. He is 54 pounds.  He is fostering in San Diego area.January 21, 2025, 3:24 pm

Story
Kenai is a 3 year old 40 pound husky mix. He is a loyal, sweet, hilarious and a loving little guy. He can go from being a couch potato to zooming around outside in no time. He is a special companion and anyone would be lucky to earn his trust. His favorite place to be is in bed with his people. We have had Kenai for about 2 years now and need to re-home him due to continuous fights with our senior dog. Kenai is reactive and not suitable for a household with other pets/children. He would do great with a household where he gets lots of attention and opportunities to go on adventures with his people. He's skittish with strangers but once he gets to know you he is extremely loyal. Please reach out for additional information.

Story
Introducing Kiah, our beautiful tri-pod Husky/Shepherd(?) mix!  Kiah is 2 years old and weighs ONLY 40 POUNDS (she's really small for a husky/shep mix).  Kiah was rescued from the euthanasia list at a high kill shelter and lives her life in joy and gratitude!   She is a very sweet tri-pod who is super affectionate, loves to snuggle and cannot get enough of head, body and belly rubs. She recently discovered the joy of a tennis ball!  She likes to chase balls and proudly carries her ball around with her, she’s one smart girl!  Kiah is crate trained, good on a leash and has not been exposed to cats or young children.  Kiah’s perfect forever home will be with an active family or individual.  She will do great as an only dog or with another well-adjusted fur sibling.  Kiah will thrive in an active environment where she will get plenty of walks and be able to run and play.  She is absolutely adorable to watch when she goes into Zoomie mode!  Kiah has been spayed, microchipped, is up to date on her vaccinations and has been dewormed. If you are interested in meeting or adopting this sweet spunky girl, please go to www.lolr.org and fill out an adoption application. ##1845485##
