Story
Meet Ozzy, a spirited four-year-old Siberian Husky with captivating brown eyes. He’s ready to bring joy and adventure into your life! Ozzy is energetic and loves exploring the outdoors. He’s intelligent, quickly learns new things, and often seems to think he can converse in English, adding his charming commentary on life. While Ozzy is delightful with people, he can be assertive with other dogs, considering himself the "Alpha." However, with patient guidance and proper introductions, he can get along well with other dogs. Despite his feisty nature, Ozzy loves cuddles. He thrives on affection and melts hearts with his sweet demeanor. At night, he enjoys cozying up in the master bedroom, cherishing companionship. We seek someone who understands Huskies' needs and can provide the love and care Ozzy deserves. An experienced individual or family with ample outdoor space would be ideal. Ready to welcome Ozzy into your life? Reach out today to ensure Ozzy finds the perfect forever home

Story
Two year old Rita is a sweet, smart, snuggle bug! She came to foster care with her bestie (and probably sister) Sophie and she has adjusted seamlessly. She is potty trained, walks great on a leash, gets along well with the other dogs in the home, and loves to sleep in the bed with her foster. She loves her sister a lot but we do think she could be adopted on her own and would do just fine. She loves to play outside and has a moderate energy level. Rita is going to make a wonderful new family member. Rita is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Sophie is a 2 year old gem of a dog! She looks like a husky mix for sure, but her foster mom reports that she is pretty darned chill in the house. She likes to play outside, she's potty trained, walks great on the leash, and she enjoys her dog friends. She came to foster care with her best buddy (and probably her sister) Rita and they are thick as thieves, but she gets along great with the other dogs in her foster home so we are sure she would do just fine being adopted on her own. She is smart, eager to please, and very please so she is going to make a wonderful addition to her new home. Sophie is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. Story
Azure is a double blue eyed 10 week old nugget, adorable little mixed breed puppy and we think she is so cute we can hardly stand it! She is well socialized, friendly, loves to play with her dog friends, LOVES people, and is just generally a very good time. Hobbies are napping, eating, finding mischief, and stealing kisses! Waiting for her forever home Azure Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility.
