Story
Hi there! I'm Koda, a one-year-old Husky with a whole lot of energy and love to share. My previous family didn't have enough time for me, which is why I'm looking for a new home that can keep up with my active lifestyle. I'm a big fan of rubber balls and can play with them for hours. However, if I don't have plenty to do, I can become a bit of a chewer, so keeping me entertained is key! I'm pretty calm during bath time, which I hear is a great trait for a Husky like me. Car rides are another favorite of mine, and I get quite active when we're on the move. Now, I have a bit of a reputation as an escape artist. I've managed to run away three times and even broke a back window trying to get inside. It's just that I love being with my people so much that I'll do whatever it takes to be close to them. I've been known to jump through windows, so it's important that I'm not left alone outside. I really want to be your constant companion and shadow. I'm an active boy who would thrive in a household that can match my energy levels and give me lots of attention and enrichment. I do well in a crate, which helps keep me safe and out of trouble when you're not around. I'm also treat-motivated and love to learn new tricks-I've already mastered "shake"! I get along well with other dogs, which means I could fit nicely into a home with canine siblings. However, I'm not a fan of cats, so a cat-free home would be best for me. I love to sit on laps and soak up all the love and affection you can give. When I go out for walks, I'm full of energy and excitement. I sometimes pull on the leash, but with some consistent training and positive reinforcement, I'm sure we can work on that together. I'm very friendly and enjoy meeting new people and dogs along the way. If you're looking for a loyal, active, and loving companion who will always want to be by your side, then I might just be the perfect match for you. Let's meet and see if we can start our next adventure together!

Story
Hi there! My name is Roscoe, and I'm a 4-year-old Husky with a zest for life and a ton of energy to share. I came to this shelter from another one, and I'm looking for a forever home where I can truly thrive. I have a lot of energy and love to run around, especially if there's a pool I can lay in! I'm known to be a bit hardheaded at times, which means I might need a firm but loving hand to guide me. While I haven't shown much interest in toys or treats so far, I do enjoy the goodie bags the kennel staff give me. I'm not a fan of being left alone in the yard since I can jump pretty high and might try to clear the fence, so leash walking is a must for me. When I'm out on a walk, I sometimes follow commands and I do know how to sit! I can be a bit tricky to walk at times, especially if there are other dogs around. I tend to react to male dogs and chase after them in a way that can seem predatory. I'm much better with female dogs and I'm really sweet when it's just me and my human friends. I'd do best in a home where I'm the only dog, but I'm great with humans and would love an active adopter who can keep up with my high energy levels. I might show aggression and reactivity when I see other dogs from a distance, but I promise I'm just trying to figure out how to act around them. With the right training and positive reinforcement, I believe I can improve. I'd love a home with a fenced-in yard where I can run around safely, and I'd be the perfect companion for someone who enjoys outdoor activities and has an active lifestyle. If you're looking for a sweet, high-energy dog who loves to run and play, I'm your guy. I just need a bit of guidance and a lot of love, and I'll be the best friend you've ever had. Come meet me and let's start our adventure together!

Story
Tank is a beautiful 1 ½ year old, 64 pound boy with gorgeous eyes of two different colors. He’s a playful and energetic guy who loves going on walks and is already doing well with his leash training. Tank has been walked alongside our other shelter dog, Minnie, and they both did very well although they didn’t get to come nose to nose. They both stayed relaxed, with tails wagging, and didn’t really pay much attention to each other. He has also shown no aggression towards his kennel mates through the chain link. He was however in a dog fight with another of the shelter dogs. He didn’t seem to be the aggressor, and it was with Titus who had already shown dislike and aggression towards him through the chainlink. Titus has gotten along with every other dog, but he didn’t like Tank for some reason. They ended up getting walked by some less experienced volunteers who ended up walking those two at the same time without keeping enough distance between them. Nobody was injured and they were able to break them up, and he’s been his friendly self ever since. Since the fight he has been tested with another of our female dogs and they walked very well together and came in for a sniff with no problems. They were happy to walk alongside each other with tails wagging, and they stayed calm and friendly throughout their nose to nose meeting. Unfortunately Tank has tested positive for Lyme Disease, but he’s still a happy guy who isn’t showing any negative side effects. He would love to find the perfect family to give him a chance.
