Story
Hi there! I'm Koda, a one-year-old Husky with a whole lot of energy and love to share. My previous family didn't have enough time for me, which is why I'm looking for a new home that can keep up with my active lifestyle. I'm a big fan of rubber balls and can play with them for hours. However, if I don't have plenty to do, I can become a bit of a chewer, so keeping me entertained is key! I'm pretty calm during bath time, which I hear is a great trait for a Husky like me. Car rides are another favorite of mine, and I get quite active when we're on the move. Now, I have a bit of a reputation as an escape artist. I've managed to run away three times and even broke a back window trying to get inside. It's just that I love being with my people so much that I'll do whatever it takes to be close to them. I've been known to jump through windows, so it's important that I'm not left alone outside. I really want to be your constant companion and shadow. I'm an active boy who would thrive in a household that can match my energy levels and give me lots of attention and enrichment. I do well in a crate, which helps keep me safe and out of trouble when you're not around. I'm also treat-motivated and love to learn new tricks-I've already mastered "shake"! I get along well with other dogs, which means I could fit nicely into a home with canine siblings. However, I'm not a fan of cats, so a cat-free home would be best for me. I love to sit on laps and soak up all the love and affection you can give. When I go out for walks, I'm full of energy and excitement. I sometimes pull on the leash, but with some consistent training and positive reinforcement, I'm sure we can work on that together. I'm very friendly and enjoy meeting new people and dogs along the way. If you're looking for a loyal, active, and loving companion who will always want to be by your side, then I might just be the perfect match for you. Let's meet and see if we can start our next adventure together!

Story
Hi there! My name is Roscoe, and I'm a 4-year-old Husky with a zest for life and a ton of energy to share. I came to this shelter from another one, and I'm looking for a forever home where I can truly thrive. I have a lot of energy and love to run around, especially if there's a pool I can lay in! I'm known to be a bit hardheaded at times, which means I might need a firm but loving hand to guide me. While I haven't shown much interest in toys or treats so far, I do enjoy the goodie bags the kennel staff give me. I'm not a fan of being left alone in the yard since I can jump pretty high and might try to clear the fence, so leash walking is a must for me. When I'm out on a walk, I sometimes follow commands and I do know how to sit! I can be a bit tricky to walk at times, especially if there are other dogs around. I tend to react to male dogs and chase after them in a way that can seem predatory. I'm much better with female dogs and I'm really sweet when it's just me and my human friends. I'd do best in a home where I'm the only dog, but I'm great with humans and would love an active adopter who can keep up with my high energy levels. I might show aggression and reactivity when I see other dogs from a distance, but I promise I'm just trying to figure out how to act around them. With the right training and positive reinforcement, I believe I can improve. I'd love a home with a fenced-in yard where I can run around safely, and I'd be the perfect companion for someone who enjoys outdoor activities and has an active lifestyle. If you're looking for a sweet, high-energy dog who loves to run and play, I'm your guy. I just need a bit of guidance and a lot of love, and I'll be the best friend you've ever had. Come meet me and let's start our adventure together!

Story
Chopper is an adorable Husky mix puppy born in October 2023. With his charming personality and playful nature, Chopper is ready to bring joy and energy into his forever home. Chopper is friendly with other dogs and enjoys their company. He also gets along well with kids. Chopper is spending his time in a foster home and his foster has given him a rave review! "This guy is extremely smart (he’s a husky mix ). For being in a kennel for nine months his mannerisms are great. He responds very well to verbal corrections. Of course, he is still a puppy that has spent the majority of his life in a kennel, so he will need some patience and basic training. He knows his name. We’ve already been working on his sit and he’s catching on quickly! He’s very food motivated, which makes training a breeze. He has not gone to the bathroom in the house since the morning after we brought him home! He can be a barker in the kennel, but that’s understandable with the cards he was dealt. We cover his kennel so he can’t see any movements and he settles right down and sleeps through the night. No accidents in his kennel so far! He LOVES dogs. We have four and he can play all day! He can also cuddle up next to you on the couch! We also have an 8 month old that he has shown nothing but affection for." If you’re ready to welcome Chopper into your family, please apply at ITVrescue.org today! All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary. ##2030446##

Story
Slate was born on 6/25/2023 and is a Siberian Husky. He is current on immunizations, heartworm, and flea control. He will go into his crate well, especially for bed time. He needs to be crated when alone, or at night for bed time. I use positive training methods with him, and he is treat motivated. He is a little shy with new people until he gets to know you. He walks best with a harness, although he does wear a collar. The harness is less traumatic to build his confidence. It would be beneficial for him to have another canine friend. He has been easy to correct, and enjoys belly rubs. He has done well with my 8yr. old female siberian. I do not recommend a home with cats, small animals, or young children. I do prefer that any potential owner have knowledge/experience with the breed. He is not neutered yet, but that is on the agenda. Slate sleeps out of his crate now. He lays his head on me, or touches my face to wake me up to be let out.
