My name is Holly, I’m guessed to be an 9 month old Siberian Husky mix and weigh approximately 48 pounds at the moment.My foster mom says I'm an absolute sweetheart who loves to snuggle and even though I'm still a puppy who's learning and growing, I really want to please my people. I'm very polite, rarely bark, walk well on a leash, and am learning to like my crate. I respond really well to redirection and positive reinforcement, especially treats, and would have so much fun at a puppy training class. I'm sure to be the star of the class because I'm so smart.Check out Holly enjoying some pool time funI would love to find a family who will take me on a run, hike, or swim, but a game of chase or fetch in the backyard is great as well. I'm also very smart and love to use my brain to learn new skills, solve food/treat filled puzzles, or on long walk where I can sniff all the things. I have pretty much learned the commands "sit" and "down" (especially when my humans use treats as a motivator) and I am working on learning more, including "come" and "off." I like to go to new places like dog friendly coffee shops, breweries, farmer's markets, etc. I am very dog friendly and love to play and wrestle with my foster brother. I have been tested with cats and did really well, showing no prey drive or signs of aggression. And while I seem to love everyone, I think I have too much energy for a home with small children, but older kids who can run and play with me would be great! I am working hard on my potty skills. My foster family says I let them know when I need to go out but sometimes I don't give them quite enough notice to allow them to get me outside fast enough. I am learning how to get better at this so I will do best with a patient forever family. My foster mom said she thinks any family who is lucky enough to adopt me will have a fun, loyal, loving friend for life.

Seems Nikolai's owners are divorcing and neither can keep Nikolai in their new living situation. They asked the Rescue to help him find a new home. He's used to living with a family and has been good with other dogs, cats and children. However his prior owners do feel he's happiest with a man in his life, versus family and children. Probably as a single dog, too. They hope to find him this kind of new home. LOVES walks and car rides. Knows basic commands - sit, lay down, wait. He's house trained and crate trained, but not happy in the wire crate. His adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption.
