Story
Nikolai-Husky male, purebred DOB 12-20-17 Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for application Nikolai is looking for a new home with the help of Rescue. Seems Nikolai's owners are divorcing and neither can keep Nikolai in their new living situation. They asked the Rescue to help him find a new home. He's used to living with a family and has been good with other dogs, cats and children. However his prior owners do feel he's happiest with a man in his life, versus family and children. Probably as a single dog, too. They hope to find him this kind of new home. LOVES walks and car rides. Knows basic commands - sit, lay down, wait. He's house trained and crate trained, but not happy in the wire crate. His adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.

Story
Orion-Siberian Husky male, ~ 1-2 yr. (Aug. 2024) Orion was saved from a High Kill rural shelter on what is called a 'code red' day....which means it would have been the last day of his life, if not for rescue. He's living in foster care with a Dog Trainer. She has evaluated him and found him to be very loving with humans both adults and children. He's shown no resource guarding and rides well in the car. This week we'll know more about him, but can say he's off to a great start. He's a medium sized dog, about 50# and will enjoy an active lifestyle. Orion's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com. Include your location and a phone number for future communication.

Story
Kiki is from Loyal Siberian Husky Dog Farm which is located in South Carolina. He is a 4 year old loyal buddy y y We are looking for a new family who loves outdoor activities with dogs and who are healthy and strong enough for further in home training which kiki might need to adjust to a new place He loves running & playing & eating :) He got modification training by a professional trainer when he was 2 for his wild play biting issue but he doesn’t have that issue any more Kiki recently moved to WA with my family but if he could find a better family, I would want to give kiki a new happier life with outdoor person Thank you

Story
Meet Koda! Koda originally came to us in January 2023 after she was found as a stray and she was not getting along with the finder's dogs. In the ten months that Koda has been with us, we have seen both the good and bad with her. While we are happy to adopt her out to the right home we would still be open to a rescue taking her into their care so she can continue to work on her behaviors. Koda is very picky about the people she befriends and lets into her space and is available to be visited by those with approved applications only. The kennel environment is stressful for many dogs and unfortunately amplified some of the negatives in Koda's behaviors. While in the kennel or when she is insecure in her environment Koda will guard items that she considers of high-value. In the shelter we have seen that in the form of her toys and her food/water bowls. She does not display these behaviors with staff she has bonded herself to or, generally, when she is away from the other dogs and not in the kennel. Due to these behaviors, any potential adopters will need to have previous experience owning dogs and may be required to visit with Koda more than once before taking her home! Koda cannot go to a home with other dogs, cats or kids. When Koda is comfortable with you, she is a gem of a pup! She LOVES to give kisses and will hop up for hugs and an ear scratch. This two-year-old pup is a huge fan of treats and is always ready for a snack! Koda knows 'sit' and 'leave it' currently. She is an extremely toy and food motivated pup and would love to learn more in her forever home! Her previous adopters did state that she was house-broken and generally a very well-behaved dog outside of her not getting along with their dog. Koda has done fantastic riding in the car for staff and also walks nicely on leash. Stuffed toys or anything that squeaks are her preferred toys to play with while in the yard or hanging out with staff. Koda also enjoys playing in water and would love to go to a home that will give her plenty of outdoor adventures! Staff knows that with the right home and people, Koda will make a fantastic dog! Koda is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.

Say hello to Tostito! Tostito came to us because he was no longer a good fit for his home. Now, this spunky pup is ready to find his forever home! Tostito is a social boy, who loves making new friends everywhere he goes! Tostito is very polite and has nice manners when greeting people. He enjoys loping around outside, smelling anything new and exciting! Tostito is a cuddle bug and just wants a permanent cuddle buddy. We have not seen Tostito around other dogs, so he would need to have a meeting with any potential doggy friends. He would do best in a home without cats. If Tostito is the one for you, please fill out an application for him today! Tostito is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped
