Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Kino is not your boxed wine kinda guy. Anyone can be shopping for taco ingredients, bread, orange juice, and coffee when they happen to stumble into the beer and wine aisle of the grocery store, and think "hey, this looks like a good deal." It takes someone with an understanding of wine to choose just the right bottle for the occasion. Kino, much like a good vino, is a dog that needs to be appreciated by someone who understands the many layers and complexities of the Husky breed. They are generally very friendly. They love to hold conversations and discuss important topics like "who's a good boy?" and "are you a good boy?" They are extremely smart which leads them to do extremely stupid things. "Hold my chew toy and watch this." They are very assertive dogs who will NOT be ignored... even when they're pretending you can't see them doing something naughty. They need exercise, physical and mental. A daily walk and something that exercises their mind is key to keeping them from being bored. If you're up for owning a dog who needs a constant reminder that they don't own you, Kino just might be your guy. Kino is good with other dogs who aren't dominant or ill tempered. He gets too excited around kids and lots of commotion and would do best in a mature, adult only home with someone who can maintain his training. Kino received training from Jeff Coltenback and comes with lifetime support from him. Kino (in typical Husky fashion) likes to explore the world and make demands with his mouth. His training focused on teaching him what's appropriate and what isn't. Keeping up with this is important to keep him out of trouble. Kino's absolute favorite thing is being petted. He will insist you keep going when you stop, and resort to lots of licking and kissing until you start petting him again. His second favorite thing is treats. Kino is appx 7-9 years old. He's crate trained, house trained once he gets used to a schedule, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet sweet Tatum, she came from Lenoir County where she was extremely neglected and abused.  When she was found she was suffering from heat stroke. She will need a family with husky experience,  time and patience to help her become the dog she deserves to be.  Tatum has the added benefit of several weeks of training by Jeff Coltenback and he says shes a sweet girl! Here's what Jeff has to say about her: Tatum has a good obedience foundation. She currently is not in training so she's a little rusty. She is crate trained and appears to be housetrained. She ignores his chickens but she has not been tested with cats. She is dog friendly but prefers male dogs. She has 'a joyful energy' that will brighten your day. She is very sweet and affectionate and loves hikes and walks. She LOVES to chew toys and is relatively quiet for a husky (not silent though)! She is good for her ear cleanings and her grooming.  Please consider giving this girl a forever home! She is sure to brighten your day! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Hi, I'm Aria! I was living the good life with my sister Tia when I suddenly found myself preparing for more mouths to feed. Foraging just wasn't my thing! When I arrived, I was very skittish, and still am at times, but I've learned to trust my foster mom most of the time. She helped me bring my 9 beautiful babies into the world on June 20, 2023. Now that they've all been adopted, it's time for me to find my furever home. I was underweight when I was picked up, and raising 9 puppies was exhausting. Now, I’ve reached a healthy weight and am feeling great! I love playing with my doggie friends and need a home with other easygoing dogs. My perfect family would be patient with me while I settle in. I'm highly food motivated and take medication easily as long as it's hidden in food. That’s the best time to win me over! I love my crate because it makes me feel safe. As long as I go outside regularly, I won't have any accidents inside. I need a tall, fenced yard with a secure border because, well, I'm a husky after all! My coat is starting to grow back in fuller now, and I can't wait to show it off in my new home.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2024, 8:01 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Mac’s Bio Meet Mac! Mac was seized from a rural property after being tied to a tree with no shelter or fresh water for two years. He is a big, Husky mix weighing in at 80-90 lbs, but don’t let that scare you! He’s a big softy who loves hugs and cuddles, and just wants to be with you all the time. Bonus points if you have lots of toys!! Mac loves other dogs, but will just need a slow introduction as he is high energy when he meets them, and he will need to go to a home with no cats. People failed Mac, and we are slowly showing him that not all people are like that. Mac is looking for a home that will provide him with all the love and patience that he never had at the beginning of life! It is preferred that Mac go to a home with Husky experience.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2024, 8:01 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Sakari is a beautiful girl with a gentle soul. Sadly we believe she did not always know the better side of humans. She was likely fed and bred at best and otherwise left to fend for herself outdoors. She did not receive medical care or affection with any sort of regularity. Fortunately, Sakari has a clean bill of health. Huskies need lots of exercise and Sakari is no exception.  Sakari will need love and patience and someone familiar with the husky breed.  She skirts away from you until she trusts you and at times you may feel like you’re doing a two steps forward, one step back kinda dance. On the flip side, once she knows you she will come to you for pets and belly rubs. She’s a sucker for hot dogs and chicken. She is potty trained and not destructive. When you see her play and show her fun side, you’ll smile from ear to ear. I promise you, if given the chance to figure out a life with love she will thrive. Even more, she’s worth the effort.  Sakari does well with other dogs her size, but absolutely no cats. To apply for adoption visit: https://www.pawfectmatch.org/info/adoptionVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2024, 8:01 pm

He's super sweet, playful, good with other dogs, 70 lbs, already neutered and UTD on vaccinations. Might know commands. Might not. Doesn't really matter. He's a Husky and will do whatever he wants to anyway. Pulls on the leash some, but we're working on that. Kenji is completely house trained and crate trained. Story
Jasper is a very loving, energetic ball of joy. He was born in September 18, 2023 and is 9 months old. Just like all puppies Jasper loves being outside. He also loves hikes and has a love hate relationship with water. We would prefer someone with an active lifestyle and someone who is as energetic as him. He knows basic commands like sit and come. But he’s not the best on the leash so some more training will be needed. But overall he’s an amazing dog and deserves a 2nd shot. We are only getting rid of him due to our current living situation I want to make that clear.

I'm Lola, your 45-pound bundle of husky happiness!  I am a grown-up girl who is 3 years old.  I'm a total sweetheart with a playful personality, and I've never met a human (old or young) or a furry friend I didn't instantly adore! I'm a gentle girl, always up for cuddles, head scratches, and maybe even a few stolen kisses.  Outdoors, I'm a zoomie champion! I love to run and play, especially with my foster sibling. But don't worry, once we're back inside, I transform into the perfect houseguest. I'll curl up and chill out until it's time for another adventure.   I would love a fenced yard and a furry playmate in my forever home since I am a social girl.  But, if you are up to playing and walking with me, that will work too.  I need my exercise to get my wiggles out!  I'm already a leash-walking pro and can't wait to explore the neighborhood with my new family.  I'm a quiet around the house except when I get excited.  My foster mom is working with me, I am a quick learner,  to not bark when I'm excited!  I am not a fan of the crate but I don’t need a crate because I have great house manners.  My foster mom works from home so I sit quietly while she does her work.  I have been left along 4-6 hours with no problems.  I am potty trained with no accidents in the house,  crate-free, and I promise not to chew your shoes.  If you're looking for a loving, loyal, and sweet companion who's always up for fun, I might just be the girl for you! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:   Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.     Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized.  Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions.  We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.   INTERESTED IN ADOPTING  LOLA?
