TAFFY is a 4 YO, 65 LB Akita While we don't know what past difficulties happened to Taffy, they clearly haven’t changed her happy and loving nature. As playful as she is beautiful, Taffy shows the profound loyalty Akita's have for their "person" and home. With a big, open smile that breaks out the moment she sees you, this pedigree girl is true to her breed: she is very affectionate, thrives on human companionship and is dedicated to protecting her "pack”. Due to the nature of her breed, she needs a male counterpart. Akitas tend to do well with opposite sex dogs, but do not do well with same sex dogs. NO CATS! She's a beautiful white Akita! She's a genius, a sweetheart, and just an all-around great pup! She sheds once a year, but it's like a magical, once-in-a-lifetime event. She's a bit on the shy side but will shower you with kisses once she claims you as her person! Plus, she's potty trained, leash trained, and a great listener (with just a touch of sass)! She loves playing with big male dogs, but alas, no girl dogs for this lady due to her breed. A fenced-in backyard would be her dream come true. She's a pro in the car and at the vet's office!
