Story
Hi Everyone! We are needing to rehome our girl Ciya. We're located in Knightdale , NC. We have to rehome her because we just found out our youngest son is severely allergic to her. She is a 10.5 yr old Akita. I would describe her as very calm and peaceful. She is very sweet and loves kids. She enjoys short walks, rubs, exploring outdoors and just hanging out. She is an indoor lady so I would ask that anyone looking to place her outdoors not respond. Please let me know if you have questions pertaining to rehoming her. Thank you so much for reading this far.

Story
Hi! My name is Forest. If you are looking for an ideal companion, then look no further cause here I am! I am already housebroken, know sit, shake, and I love the outside! I enjoy snuggling with you if you will let me, and like a good romp in a fenced-in backyard. My favorite thing is being outside, and I can be a tad stubborn when it's time to come in. I do not like to be crated, but I am such a good boy I don't need to be! My foster mom thinks I might have accidentally escaped from my people since I was caught chasing a deer. Since my prior owner could not be found, I find myself in need of a new home. My only requirement is a home with no small animals, (cats, rabbits, chickens, etc.,) and no small children. My ideal home would be with a stay at home worker who takes me on walks or lets me roam in the fenced yard. I need a strong alpha owner who is familiar with dog behavior. If you are looking for a new friend who will not require much training, just a bit of time to understand your expectations, I would love to meet you! And hey, I am even neutered so I can go home with you right away! Please contact my foster mom so we can have a play date!Hoping you'll call,Forest Primary Color: Tan Weight: 68 Age: 4yrs 8mths 0wks

Story
I adopted Laika from a shelter recently, but my landlord is making me get rid of him as he looks too much like a German Shepherd. He is a Shepherd/Akita Mutt who is very friendly, completely housebroken and good on the leash. He is learning commands quickly and is 3-4 years old. He is very sweet and friendly with other humans and dogs, although extremely playful so he can freak smaller dogs out. He needs an active owner with a lot of space and time for play and exercise. His bowls, leashes, toys are included. He has a little bit of separation anxiety that we are working on at the moment. He is learning commands quickly. He is not crate trained, but that is also being worked on, slowly. He is not destructive in the house at all.

Story
George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Channing Tatum....all them hotties best move on over because Jack is in the house and he has the charm of Jack Nicholson and the looks of, heck, he's betterlooking than anyone we can think of! Jack is a white Shepherd come husky mix who is an adult weighing about 66 lbs full grown. Jack is the consummate gentleman who adores people first and foremost and has great manners, not to mention has wowed all his lady doggo friends at the farm too. Jack would love an active home and folks who know something about his breed mix and the stimulation and exercise that will make him happiest. Jack is great in his crate and has been a star on the hiking team. He would do best with a female doggo companion if there is one in the home. Don't take our word on this one, come meet this drop dead gorgeous guy for yourself and see the total package! **Volunteer Dog Walker feedback: "I had the wonderful opportunity to walk Jack this past weekend He needs a bit more time with leash training but he got along with all humans and dogs on the walk".

Story
Meet joyful Jake, who greets every person, place and thing he meets with curiosity, happiness and energy. Jake jumped in his foster mom’s yard two years ago to play with her lab/pyr mix—and then he jumped out and went to lie down in the road. To keep him safe, foster mom caught Jake and looked for his owner, with no luck. She attempted to rehome him with someone whose temperament ended up being not a good match for Jake, and Jake moved back to foster mom’s house. Although she knew even then that she was not the best match for him (she has double knee replacements) and has cats, which Jake likes to chase, she’s loved Jake for two years. She has recently experienced health issues that are impacting her ability to meet Jake’s need for activity and wants Jake to find the forever home he deserves. At an estimated 4 years old, Jake is neutered, up-to-date on his shots and enjoys daily walks and/or visits to the dog park, where he thinks everyone is his friend. He is house-trained and crate-trained. He would thrive with someone with an active lifestyle who wants to be “his person.” If you’re looking for a hiking buddy and someone to remind you to stop and smell the flowers, which he actually does, then apply to adopt Jake today.
