Story
Korra is 7 years this May. I adopted her when she was 2 years. She is house trained and takes direction. Very quiet and relaxed. She will need two walks per day. I would say at least a quarter to a half mile each. She prefers to be outside than inside no matter the weather. She does well leashed outside. She doesn't prefer other dogs, but won't attack them. She can be skittish with loud sounds like a vacuum. She's great with kids. I have an 8th month old and I've never had to worry. She also does well with little kids. She is NOT current on any vaccines. I kept her up to date for 5 years. But she does not go to dog parks or kennels or groomers. So if you plan to take her to any of those then consult your vet. I will give you all the medical records I have. She had one major injury before I adopted her. It was to her back right leg. She can walk and canter just fine, but if she tries to sprint you will see her lift the leg. I have gotten the leg examined by a vet and there is no concern

Story
Turtle is a sweet husky mix looking for a home that provides lots of cuddles. Turtle is roughly three years old, and was adopted after being found on the side of the road all by herself. She is house trained, leash trained, knows basic commands, and loves snuggles. Turtle's only obstacle is separation anxiety. With training and anti-anxiety medication, Turtle has made great strides. She needs a loving owner who has a lifestyle that is conducive to owning a pet with separation anxiety. That could mean someone who works from home or is retired, someone who is willing to hire a dog sitter or drop her off at daycare to limit her time alone, or someone who is active and takes her on runs. Turtle lives for her daily walks and belly rubs, and loves giving kisses. She is a gentle pup, but incredibly athletic when let off her leash at the park. With dedication, the right medication and patience, Turtle is an amazing pup.

Story
Sassy is currently at county pound but we will pull her if we can find a foster.Sassy and 8 other dogs were taken from abusive owners. Prior to being seized, Sassy lived indoors and never went outside. We have a volunteer who has gone to the shelter and has taken Sassy for walks and reports that Sassy is a wonderful dog! She is good on a leash and loves belly rubs.Sassy needs to be on a strong leash at all times. She gets spooked easily (remember, all of this is new to her) by cars, loud noises, etc.Sassy is approximately 40 pounds. She has been spayed. Sassy lived with dozens of cats prior to being seized and taken to the shelter.Apply to foster Sassy and help her learn to trust people and gain confidence at ricopetrecovery.org

Story
Meet Lady, the Rescued 1 Yr Old Husky: Seeking a Loving HomeAre you ready to welcome Lady, the beautiful one-year-old husky into your life? Meet our sweet and curious girl who is looking for a patient and understanding family to call her own.Personality and Temperament: Lady is a bit shy and timid initially, but she's coming out of her shell and showing great promise. She has some endearing quirks that make her unique and lovable. Despite her initial reserve, she is incredibly curious about the world around her, always eager to explore and learn new things.Likes and Preferences: She absolutely adores spending time outdoors, whether it's going for walks or simply lounging in the fresh air, just keep some water handy. Her chew toys are her prized possessions, and she loves crunching on lots of ice to cool down during warm days. Indoors, you'll often find her nestled in a cozy corner surrounded by pillows, enjoying her own space and quiet time.Affection and Interaction: While Lady may not be the most demonstrative in terms of affection, she does enjoy gentle pats, mostly on her neck and sides, and being loved on for a little while. She appreciates her personal space and prefers interactions on her own terms, which makes her ideal for someone who understands her need for independence and respects her boundaries.Ideal Home: We are looking for a patient and loving family who can provide a calm and nurturing environment for our husky. A fenced yard where she can safely explore and play would be perfect for her adventurous spirit. Understanding her need for space and allowing her to gradually build trust and confidence will be key to forming a strong bond with her.Health and Care: She has been rescued and is in perfect health! Regular exercise, mental stimulation, and a nutritious diet will ensure she thrives in her new home. Like all huskies, she benefits from a consistent routine and gentle training to help her continue to blossom into a confident companion. Conclusion: If you are ready to open your heart and home to a charming husky who is full of potential, we believe she could be the perfect match for you.
