Josie is 2 years old. She loves to play - throw the ball - and loves to run. She is free to a good home and comes with her own cage and leash. She will not wander off, she will stay close to home. She will follow and sometimes lead on a leash. She is crate trained. She is not spayed nor up to date on vaccines. She is very shy around new people. She will eventually warm up to you after she gets to know you. She is scared of loud noises. She is very loving and a good girl.

Story
We rescued Marko 3.5 years ago from a group that cannot take him back, so we are looking to find him a new home that can better accommodate his needs. He is 6 years old and full of energy to exercise and play. He would do best in a home that has a tall fenced in yard to run around in since he has been known to jump, or with owners who can take him on daily walks. His owner will need understanding and patience to work with him on his anxiety in certain situations. He has previously shown aggressive behavior at the vet but has improved over time and now only displays anxiety. He also gets anxious during car rides. He does well with dogs similar in size, but needs time to warm up to larger dogs with alpha personalities. He loves our other dog and will need time adjusting to a home without her. He loves being around people and could tolerate being in a home with older kids/teenagers who can handle his behavior. Younger children are not ideal due to his energy level.

Sassy is currently at county pound but we will pull her if we can find a foster.Sassy and 8 other dogs were taken from abusive owners. Prior to being seized, Sassy lived indoors and never went outside. We have a volunteer who has gone to the shelter and has taken Sassy for walks and reports that Sassy is a wonderful dog! She is good on a leash and loves belly rubs.Sassy needs to be on a strong leash at all times. She gets spooked easily (remember, all of this is new to her) by cars, loud noises, etc.Sassy is approximately 40 pounds. She has been spayed. Sassy lived with dozens of cats prior to being seized and taken to the shelter.Apply to foster Sassy and help her learn to trust people and gain confidence at ricopetrecovery.org

Story
Our dog's name is Hannah, we bought her at a pet store in 2018. Hannah was born in 2018, she is spayed and has all her vaccines up to date. She is very playful and energetic. The main reason why we are giving her up for adoption is because my husband works out of state and we have a 20-month-old child and as a mother who practically lives alone, it is very difficult for me to take care of my son and Hannah. As I have already written, she is a very energetic dog and she likes to be taken out for walks and to play constantly. I am currently looking for a job and I do not think it is fair that Hannah has to stay practically all day alone at home.

Story
Clifford the big red dog is mostly Chow. He weighs around 70 pounds and is estimated to now be around 3 years old. Clifford was dumped on the side of a rural road with a litter of puppies and was rescued by good Samaritans. Clifford is a super wonderful dog. He is sweet, gentle, and good-natured. He especially loves puppies, small dogs, and gentle children. We do not know how he would do with cats. Clifford is a very good boy. He is crate-trained, sits on command, and walks well on a leash. It is extremely hot here in Texas and Clifford is happy to be in his crate inside the air-conditioned house. We are working on housetraining (teaching him that just because the little dogs pee in the house does not mean that he can). Clifford could probably use other gentle obedience training. Clifford rides well in a vehicle but is a bit nervous about getting into the vehicle. He is shy with new people (especially men) and takes some time to trust. Clifford is sensitive and will hide from angry voices, rough treatment, and mean dogs. We are sure he was not treated well by whoever had him before. Clifford needs to be treated gently so he will trust you. Once he trusts you or another dog, he becomes happy and playful. Clifford deserves a wonderful home. He must be in the house as a loved member of the family. He must be walked on a leash and have a fenced yard to run and play. Clifford is neutered, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Clifford has been treated for heartworms and is now heartworm-free. He receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Clifford is located in Texas but can be transported after he is adopted. His adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to several stops in Ohio, including but not limited to, Cincinnati, Columbus, or Akron.
