Meet Kodiak! Breed: Husky/Shepherd Mix Estimated Age: 11/12/2024 Sex: Male (intact) Weight: 15-20 lbs Currently up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations Things to Know About Kodiak: Rescued from Mississippi with his siblings (the Alaskan Townies) These puppies had a tragic start to life after their mother, a sweet Husky mix, was killed in an act of cruelty. Despite this heartbreaking beginning, they are thriving and ready to find safe, loving homes where they will be cherished and cared for. Very sweet, even-tempered boy who loves being around people Exceptionally calm during school visits - teachers were impressed by how well-behaved he was! Enjoys gentle handling and will contentedly lay nearby during social activities Walks well on leash and travels comfortably in the car Making great progress with potty training - getting better every day! Very food motivated, making him eager to learn and train Currently sleeps in a pen with his brother and is ready to begin crate training Dog-friendly and plays well with other canines Young enough to learn to love cats Occasionally gets excited and playfully mouths sleeves or pant legs - responding well to redirection Looking for a loving and committed forever home to provide him with the care and love he deserves Learn more and apply to adopt at TLCrescuePA.org/adopt Interested in fostering? Story
Hello, my name is: WooWooDOB: 1/18/2015Sex/Breed: Spayed female HuskyWeight: ~50 lbsRescued From: Found strayWooWoo was found wandering the streets, dragging a broken tie out. It seems she finally got fed up with being chained outside and took it upon herself to escape the life she lived. Thankfully, some Good Samaritans were able to capture her and whisk her to safety. She was thin, tired, and clearly overbred. It took a while to get her to a healthy weight, but she is bright, happy, and filled in now. She had another name originally, but the songs she sings her foster family quickly earned her the name “WooWoo,” and it stuck. WooWoo is a gentle and sweet Husky girl looking for an artic-breed-loving family to call her own in her golden years. She shares her foster home with dogs of all sizes and gets along beautifully with them. She has great manners and loves food and treats. WooWoo enjoys the snow and being outdoors. If you are looking for a gentle dog to spoil, look no further than this girl! She’ll repay you with devotion and love that know no bounds. Please help us find WooWoo the forever home she so desperately deserves! All our pets are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting? Hello, my name is: MikaDOB: 1/18/2023Sex/Breed: Spayed female Husky/Hound mixWeight: 37 lbsRescued From: Owner surrenderMika is the life of the party and the center of attention. She loves to have fun, whether she’s roughhousing with her doggy pals or playing with toys. She’s athletic, intelligent, and affectionate – checking most boxes for “world’s best dog.” Mika seems house trained, is forward-friendly with people and other dogs, and is eager to please. If your family loves the outdoors, Mika is your girl! She’d be the perfect camping companion and avid hiker. Her ideal family will have the time to tweak her manners and love a dog who doesn’t understand personal space (picture face kisses and climbing in your lap any chance she gets). She has the most unique look with blue in her eyes and a sleek reddish coat – Mika is truly one of a kind! All our pets are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting? Spayed or Neutered,
Story
hi Clark, this good boy is a 6-month-old husky. He and his sister were surrendered to our care from her Lancaster breeder when they couldn't sell them. Clarke and Lois were pulled by our volunteer from a dirty horse stall so it is no surprise that they were initially very shy and timid. Since then, they did a total 180 and have turned into the most rambunctious and silly puppies possible. They are playful, happy and very silly. He would need to meet any resident dogs. He will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. He also had a hernia repair. If you are serious about adoption, please fill out an adoption application on our website www.phoenixanimalrescue.com His adoption fee is $450.
