Story
Meet Panda Girl: Your New Best Friend!  Name: Panda Girl  Breed: Husky Mix  Age: 2-3 years old Weight: 48 pounds   Let us tell you about Panda Girl's journey which hasn't been easy. She was found at an abandoned house, left in a dirty pen with two other dogs, surviving without food or water for some time. For the past 9 months Panda Girl has been sadly waiting patiently for her forever home at a small town shelter, existing in a dark and depressing, tiny concrete cell. Despite her tough start, Panda Girl is a true sweetheart and still has a great attitude and grateful for any attention or moment outside her cell in the play yard. This girl is able to stay out in the play yard a lot because she gets along well with other dogs and adores everyone she meets. Her time in the shelter's play yard shows that she still has a  playful spirit and friendly nature.  This poor girl needs a break from this mundane existence in a shelter.  9 months is sheer torture and we hope someone will help her get out by fostering or even better, adopting.  Panda Girl deserves a loving family who will give her the care and companionship she craves. Could you be the one to offer her a second chance at happiness? Whether adoption or fostering, Panda Girl is ready to be your loyal and loving companion. Interested in adopting or fostering Panda Girl? Contact Critter Cavalry Animal Rescue today! Let's give this beautiful girl the break and love she needs. Email CCRTennessee@gmail.com to request an adoption application or learn more about fostering. We are a Middle Tennessee-based rescue, but we travel to the Northeast weekly for our mission. Story
Marley is a beautiful purebred Husky girl that is a nice settled 6 year old girl that is 45 pounds and rescued from a totally inhumane living environment for the last 4 years.   This girl needs some patience, love, training to not jump on you as you enter her space to pet her and a first time ever inside home.  She has lived in a neglected backyard environment that has resulted in her having heartworms which are being treated now. She will be fine after the treatment is done.  We are desperately trying to help the family who took and the other dog in to their home to give them fresh water daily (not the black rain water in the kiddie pool), food daily (instead of every 4 days) and a grassy environment that is mowed weekly and no 7 feet tall with weeds.  We are all working hard to get her and the other dog (can be separated) the good and caring homes and people to love them.  Marley deserves a dream come true new place in life.  She is not housebroken at the moment due to the years living outside.  But that can change in a short time with a schedule and patience.  This girl is playful, friendly and good with other dogs and people.  She just needs to learn NOT to jump on them with her joyful greetings.  Help us give Marley a true Cinderella story of rising from the neglect and abandonment she came from and let’s put her in a castle.  We want her to have a good life and all we need is a person with a rescue kind of heart.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Cubby is our handsome Husky mix boy that is just beginning to peel away his original reluctance to trust people and now he is just all about having fun and playing with all the humans in his foster community.  He is a loving 2 year old boy who grew up in a pack of other Huskies and also many puppies all around in the backyard.  Cubby was never taken out in a car or away from that dirty backyard filled with many items of trash.  So. Cubby learned nothing about life and certainly nothing about being on a leash to go for walks. In fact he never had a collar or a leash on him. One month later, he is blossoming so much and every day we see such progress in his confidence. Now, with his foster family he loves to go on walks and is beginning to like and meet new people that he meets.   He has gained so much trust and confidence. What is so sweet is that this boy now knows how to play as he tosses his toys in the air and chases bouncy balls.  He has the normal Husky energy and that includes a need to run in a fenced area and most certainly he cannot be confined to a crate for 8-9 hours because it is just not in his nature to be comfortable with that.  When he is inside a home he can be chill and relaxed with his humans and of course he is wonderful with other dogs and loves to play with them.  He will be fun and your amazing companion and will be  someone’s faithful buddy. Cubby is beautiful inside and out. Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com.November 21, 2024, 12:02 pm

Story
You know every rescue dog has a pretty significant story that all of us cry over and fight  to help make their life better. This young girl Katya grew up on a pretty despairing property that was full of unaltered cats and dogs and not enough food and sometimes no water and often there was not adequate shelter from all the rain and elements of weather. None of the people around her could take care of all the animals. She was tied out and it broke our heart to go on the property and see the condition shevand others were raised in. Katya has risen above all of that as a one-year-old Husky that weighs 60 lbs. and she is a pure love.   A happy girl with a little bit of shyness because she's never gotten out into the world to experience new things. When we picked her up from the property and took her off that chain we knew she would be smiling very soon. She is always so overjoyed when you cuddle with her and play. She is a mellow Husky with medium energy that is easy to entertain and deal with.  She's lived amongst many cats all her life,  so that typical Husky caution of ' no cats allowed',  doesn't apply to her. She loves children, loves other dogs and she enjoys meeting adults with just a tad shyness and time to warm up to them. We want someone to spoil her rotten. We want someone that will let her sit on their lap and pretend that she's a Chihuahua like she thinks she is in size. She has  an innocence that makes you just want to hug and protect her. She makes you want to give her a better life and future.  If you've got a fenced yard, a Husky loving home, and some time, we want to hear from you. Maybe even just living in an apartment with a dog park could be the much better life that she's looking for. It would be such a better life than what she's had. Let's all come together and find Katya the best new life ever.  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Story
Meet Newt, a remarkable young Husky born in March 2024, whose resilience and zest for life inspire everyone who meets her. She came into the world with advanced cataracts, leaving her with limited vision. Thanks to a successful eye surgery provided by SOAR Rescue, Newt now has partial sight, and she's eagerly experiencing the world in a whole new way. Though still visually impaired, this spirited girl is unstoppable! Newt is as affectionate as she is brave. She's gentle, and loves the company of both humans and other dogs, making her an ideal companion for a household with another pet to help guide her and keep her company. Newt's ongoing health needs mean she'll thrive with a family committed to proactive veterinary care, including regular check-ins with a veterinary ophthalmologist to maintain her vision and a strong, consistent relationship with a trusted vet to keep her health on track. Despite her unique challenges, Newt is full of curiosity, playfulness, and love. She's looking for a forever home that will embrace her needs, celebrate her spirit, and offer the support she needs to flourish. If you're ready to open your heart to a truly special dog, Newt may just be the perfect match for you.

Meet the Fresh Water Eco-System Litter (also known as the Swamp Puppies!) These guys came to us from our wonderful vet partner Middle Tennessee Vet Center where mama was pulled from Robertson County Animal Control Shortly after giving birth. The shelter is no place for mamas and babies and when MTVC reached out for our help...we were able to jump in thanks to the Muttz Realty Whelping Room! Riverboat Rhonda and her 9 babies are looking for active homes. We think they are a mix of husky and shepherd and estimate they will be around 50-60 lbs. The Fresh Water Ecosystem Litter has an adoption fee of $325 each. They are up to date on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and on prevention. They will also be scheduled to be spayed or neutered by the rescue. Please note that we are a completely volunteer run organization and may take 48 hours to respond. Please make sure to fully complete your application. If responses are not complete, you may not be contacted due to the volume of applications. Thank you for understanding. We can only set up meet and greets once an application has been filled out. For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at https://soarnash.org/adoption-process.

Story
Meet Riverboat Rhonda, the devoted momma of our Freshwater Ecosystem litter, born in March 2024. This Husky mix has a gentle, loving nature, though she may be a bit nervous when meeting new people. With patience and understanding, Rhonda blossoms into a sweet and affectionate companion. She's slow to trust, likely due to an uncertain past, but once she feels safe, her love and loyalty know no bounds, making the journey of earning her trust incredibly rewarding. Rhonda does wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and will thrive in a home where she has a canine companion to help her feel secure. Her history with cats is unknown, so she hasn't been tested with them. Given her need for a calm environment, a home with older children who respect dogs would be best. As a Husky mix, she has a clever and curious nature, so a family with experience in managing the breed's tendency to be an escape artist is essential. Rhonda is comfortable in her crate, but she doesn't like to be left alone for long periods; known for her typical Husky mix traits-she loves to "talk" and will often express herself with her adorable vocalizations. Rhonda is looking for a loving, patient family who understands her need for time, companionship, and ongoing support. She will come with training sessions from our trusted training partners to help her adjust to her new home. If you're ready to provide a safe and caring environment, Riverboat Rhonda will be a loyal and loving addition to your family. Please note that we are a completely volunteer run organization and may take 48 hours to respond. Please make sure to fully complete your application. If responses are not complete, you may not be contacted due to the volume of applications. We can only set up meet and greets once an application has been approved. Thank you for understanding. Story
Haku means "pure" in Japanese! I was named for my pure, passionate and overwhelming love for everyone around me! I came to the rescue when my dad was stationed in Japan and heartbroken that he couldn't take me with him. I've missed him so much ever since! Everyday I do the things I did with him with other dogs so I can try and remember what it felt like to be with him! But it's just not the same. So, I'm hoping a new family can come scoop me up and show me what it feels like to be a part of a home and family again! I am good with other dogs, I love playing chase with them or tugging on chew toys. I'll need a happy and active home so that my life will be full of love and fun! I am a bit anxious and nervous around new people, and people in general! Slow introductions, a safe space I can retreat to like a crate and not forcing me into spaces with tons of people will help me be myself all the time! Haku can only be adopted in the local or TX area. Local adoption only, in San Antonio or TX area, $200.

Spike is a "manly" kind of name, right?? I am a guy, so I must be "strong like bull" :) Actually I am kind of a goofball. Smart and silly, playful and happy- just grateful to be alive!! I was saved from a high high kill shelter in W Texas and have been here getting my heartworms treated and having friends and an actual life... but now my goal is to have an actual FAMILY too!! I am good with other dogs, although I am a dominant boy, so I need either to be an only dog or to have a submissive friend to hang with. I am also a husky and all that goes along with that breed applies, I am active, I need a husky knowledgeable family cause we are escape artists and shed A LOT!! I would love to get out of HOT-TEXAS and AC is my friend but cooler weather would be AMAZING!! Adopt me soon, I am ready!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)
