Story
Riley is a high energy dog that is very protective and has been described as a bit of a diva in our local dog group. She is extremely affectionate and loves to have your undivided attention whenever she sees fit. Riley does great around most other dogs and loves to socialize at the dog park with her friends. We acquired Riley from some neighbors that had an unplanned litter and did not have the space to take care of them. Riley is two years old, housetrained, and with a confident owner has been very trainable if only a little strong willed.

Story
I first met Pepper in Bow/Alger, Washington, living on a country property. Pepper was a stray that fell in love with a male mixed breed puppy I had for my sick son, Siddhartha aka Sid. So I fed her and they became close and had a litter of puppies. I then got her fixed. I have had them since, for about 9 years. I am being forced to move and cannot find another home that I can afford. I will keep them in my travel Motorhome for as long as it takes for my buddies to find the right home. They have traveled across the country living for a few years in Key West, Fl. and now back here in Bellingham, Washington. Thank you for your understanding that both come as a package/together. I am over 70 years old and am only on social security and cannot afford to take care of my truly great friends. They love everybody and all other animals. They are a real Walt Disney Movie. I believe one will be so grateful to have their love and attention. They are great watch dogs and will alert with love.

~~THIS DOG IS **NOT** IN THE CARE OF THE ALTERNATIVE HUMANE SOCIETY. THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE SEND ALL INQUIRIEST TO HIS OWNER DIRECTLY AT novarynn@gmail.com     THANK YOU ~~ This is Gunnar, my 2 year old Husky Rottweiler mix. He is a sweet, goofy, and handsome boy. He is around 40 lb, and up to date with his vaccines. We are unsure of how Gunnar would act around cats, but he seems to do fine around children, though may jump on them to show affection. Gunnar needs to be fed the Hills ZD diet, or the Squarepet hydrolyzed pork kibble. Hide your socks, because he will steal them and fling them around to play! Please contact me if you are interested in adopting this sweet boy.  ##2130588##

~~THIS DOG IS NOT IN THE CARE OF THE ALTERNATIVE HUMANE SOCIETY. THIS IS A COURTESY POST. ALL INQUIRIES SHOULD BE SENT TO THE OWNER DIRECTLY AT megancher121@gmail.com  THANK YOU~~ Sweet and Loving Male Husky Looking for a New Home - Age: 6 years old - Breed: Siberian Husky - Possibly mixed with something else. Personality: Extremely friendly, affectionate, and playful. He loves head scratches, cuddles, and spending time with the family. He loves playing ball and his favorite stuff animals are Dinosaurs. Thor's great with kids but selective with dogs. When he was one years old, he was attacked at the dog park that left him to be more guarded with other dogs. (I always recommend introducing him gradually). He has gotten along with a few dog since the incident. Thor’s Energy Level: Medium-High. He enjoys daily walks, runs, and outdoor adventures. He would thrive in a home where he can be active and engaged but also enjoys snuggling and relaxing looking out the window. He has a large dog pad that he loves to dig in and jump on during zoomies. Thor’s Training: He's house-trained and knows basic commands like Sit, Stay, Come, Spin, Shake. He's also crate-trained for when needed. When he needs to potty he will whine. He holds in potty for 10-13 hrs. Has never torn up carpet or furniture. Thor’s Health: He is neutered, and in good health overall. Thor’s Ideal Home - A home with a fenced-in yard or access to outdoor activities would be perfect, as Huskies love to run and explore. - Someone who has experience with the breed or is ready to give him the attention, exercise, and mental stimulation he needs. ##2270822##

Story
Everest Junie, affectionately known as “EJ,” has come such a long way in her journey and is now thriving in a loving foster home with two other dogs. This special girl is resilient, loyal, and incredibly sweet. She’s about 1 year old, weighs 40 pounds, and is believed to be a Husky mix, although in rescue exact age and breed are unknown and cannot be guaranteed. WATCH EJ's sweetness! https://youtu.be/t1duDI4IOx0 EJ is fully potty trained and crate trained, making her an easy addition to a new home. She loves her foster doggie siblings and will need a home with at least one other dog, as they are her biggest source of comfort and confidence. When she’s feeling anxious, EJ has the cutest habit of sitting on top of her doggy friends to feel safe. Playing in the backyard, she’s full of silly energy and moves like a baby fox (and kind of looks like one too)! EJ’s perfect home has a fenced yard, at least one other dog, and a calm and patient environment where she can truly blossom. EJ has made amazing progress with her confidence and now seeks out love and attention from her people. She will need a family who understands that she’s still learning to trust and might need a little extra decompression time in her new home. After all, EJ was found on the streets with her mom, begging at a restaurant for pizza. She has grown tremendously in her time at the rescue and now with her foster family, where has learned the comforts of a soft bed, ice cream and beef jerky, and squeaky toys. She is extremely food motivated and will happily do most anything for a treat. She is also a total cuddle bug and loves crawling into bed with her humans for some snuggling. She adores pets on the face, neck, and tummy, and has the cutest yawn “reflex” when her head is rubbed. At the rescue, she has spent time with children as young as 3. She did well with these dog-savvy and respectful little ones. If you’re looking for a sweet, quirky, and loyal companion, EJ might just be the perfect addition to your pack. She’s ready to find her forever family and share all the love she has to give. We are willing to test EJ with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you. If you have any questions about her, her situation or her needs, please reach out to her adoption coordinator, who would be thrilled to have a discussion with you about this beautiful girl. Our behavior team is also ready to have an in-depth discussion about EJ’s behavioral needs with her forever family. Please email jessicak@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions.
