Meet Milo, the lanky heartthrob with a soul as soft as his stunning tan and white coat. This 4.5-year-old German Shepherd-Husky mix is 66 pounds of gentle charm, just waiting for his forever family to come along. Milo`s a little shy at first, but give him some time and patience, and you`ll discover a loyal and loving companion who just wants to be your best buddy.Milo has a history of living with other dogs—a smaller pup and his sister, another Shepsky he came in with. While he`d love to stay with his sister, he`s got the potential to thrive on his own too, especially with a family that will give him the love and stability he craves. He’s already potty trained (bonus points!) and his previous owner praised him as a great communicator. Whether it`s a little woof, a tilt of the head, or those expressive eyes, Milo has his ways of letting you know exactly what’s on his mind.Milo is the perfect mix of goofy and sweet, with a gentle disposition that shines once he feels at ease. He’s had experience with older kids, making him a great candidate for families looking for a calm yet playful addition. Whether it’s lounging at your feet, going for walks, or bonding over belly rubs, Milo’s ready to fill your home with love, loyalty, and just the right touch of Shepsky mischief. So, what are you waiting for? Milo`s lanky legs are ready to carry him right into your heart—and your home! Come meet this sweet boy and help him find the happily-ever-after he deserves. The dog adoption fee is $90. Story
Cue the dramatic rom-com music, because Mika is about to sweep you off your feet in the most adorable meet-cute of all time! At just 1.5 years old, this 49-pound German Shepherd-Husky mix (aka Shepsky) is the ultimate quirky leading lady. With her fluffy black-and-white coat and her dopey, lovable personality, Mika is a walking Hallmark movie waiting to happen.Picture it: You’re standing in your kitchen, minding your own business, when Mika struts in with her playful grin, tail wagging like she’s auditioning for the role of `World`s Cutest Best Friend.` She accidentally knocks over a box of treats (oops!), looks up with those big, soulful eyes, and—bam!—you’re hooked. Mika is all about spreading joy and laughter, whether she’s trotting around the yard with her goofy antics or curling up for snuggles after a long day. This energetic sweetheart grew up with her brother (another Shepsky!) and a smaller dog, so she knows how to play nice with others. While she’d love to keep the sibling storyline alive and go to a home with her brother, she’s also ready to star in her own spinoff. Mika is friendly, affectionate, and oh-so-funny, but she’d thrive best in a home with older kids who can keep up with her playful energy.Mika is the rom-com heroine you didn’t know you needed—cute, fluffy, a little clumsy, and guaranteed to make you laugh every day. So what are you waiting for? Come meet her and let your love story begin. Mika’s ready for her happily-ever-after—are you?The dog adoption fee is $90. And oh, what a coat it is—a thick, black-and-white masterpiece that’s perfect for cozying up on chilly nights. But don’t think he’s all style and no substance. Howlbert is equal parts funny and sweet, the kind of pup who keeps you laughing with his playful antics one moment and melts your heart the next with a cuddle session. He’s the rom-com best friend and love interest rolled into one—here to charm you, adore you, and maybe even steal your popcorn. So, are you ready to write your love story? Story
Schooner wandered onto the rescue property early this year. He got along fine with the ranch dogs and made himself at home. He was shy at first until he knew he was safe. Schooner is a lover. Just sweet as he can be. And he loves to run! And run! And run! He is absolutely gorgeous all stretched out in a full run around the property. Unfortunately he lost that privilege when he started killing the resident chickens! So no chickens or small to medium farm animals. It is simply husky nature to hunt so he's just doing what is natural. He does so so on a leash. Rides great in a car. Gives hugs. He is eager to please and would love a home and family of his own who will teach him all the good stuff about being a family. Apply at www.krrtx.org/forms Please note all dogs are located in San Antonio, TX. We advertise out of state due to the critical pet overpopulation problem here in the south. We use Your Texas Rescue Connection to transport the dogs to your area. They are all up to date and come with a health certificate. The fee is $180 adoption and $200 transportation = $380. Thank you for considering adopting a southern dog.

Hi, my name is Hobart and I would love to meet you. I have been at the shelter since Jul 11, 2023. All my friends say that I`m pretty affectionate and if that means I like getting pets and having my paw held, that`s definitely true! When I`m not being a love-bug, I love going on casual walks where I can sniff the breeze and feel the sun on my fur. I can`t wait to add a lot of cuddle time to your routine!

Story
Name: Faith Gender: Female Breed: Husky About Faith: Introducing Faith, a remarkable 3-year-old Husky whose story is as inspiring as her spirit is endearing. Faith was found in August 2023, wandering the streets on the outskirts of Guadalajara city, in a harrowing state with a severe injury to her eye. Despite the unimaginable pain she must have endured, Faith's strong will and unyielding determination shone through, helping her survive and continue to show an incredible zest for life. Faith is a beautiful example of the resilience and strength Huskies are known for. With her natural runner’s spirit, she thrives in environments where she can explore and be active. Huskies are known for their boundless energy and love for adventure, so it's highly recommended to keep Faith securely leashed and within a fenced area to prevent her from chasing after small animals, which is an instinctive trait of the breed. Despite her rough start, Faith is incredibly smart, intuitive, and affectionate. She has an innate ability to connect with people and is open and trustful, showing that she has a big heart despite past hardships. Faith loves playing with other dogs and is well-balanced in social settings, making her a wonderful companion for outings and adventures with you by her side. Faith is a fast learner and responds well to training, thriving when given a purpose and regular daily exercise. As a working breed, Huskies like Faith need plenty of physical and mental stimulation to stay happy and healthy. She’ll be at her best when engaged in activities that challenge her and keep her active. If you’re ready to offer Faith the loving home she deserves, you’ll gain a loyal and spirited companion who will fill your life with joy and adventure. Come meet Faith and see how her resilient spirit and loving nature can enrich your life! They are currently in Mexico awaiting a family committed to a 10-day trial. If interested, please apply at www.northwestwagrescue.org. The adoption fee is $600 and includes up-to-date vaccines, a negative heartworm test, spaying/neutering, and microchipping. ##2093860##
