Story
Xena is a 14 months old sweet and velcro girl who was an unwanted gift as a puppy for her previous owner. As a result, Xena spent a considerable time of her life alone, outside, without any love or affection. However, as soon as she came to foster home, Xena became attached to her foster parents. She loves giving kisses and is extremely affectionate and big time cuddler. She is also a lapdog. Xena loves to play fetch and is a total water dog. She loves living in the water, and loves swimming. Xena is only about 45 lbs. She will be a medium sized pup. She has one blue and one brown eye and very soft fur. She is fully vetted, current on vaccination, and is spayed and microchipped. She is also heartworm negative and kept on preventatives. Xena is currently being fostered in Houston, but can travel to any state, even Canada to the right home. She can go to a home with other dogs, or be an only child. To meet this sweet pup via facetime or whatsapp or in person, please send an application available at www.savesomesouls.com

Story
MaRishka... MaRishka came into the rescue while she was still in the womb of her mama, Mama-ishka! A good samaritan reached out to us to help Mama. She was a regular stray in the neighborhood especially after her owners up and left her behind. They moved and didn't bother to take her with them. MaRishka is the only gray pup of her litter. She is adorable, sweet, and loves to give kisses. She is at times quiet within the five puppies in her litter. She will sit back and watch everything around her. She is a smart girl! Of the four girls pups, she is the biggest one. MaRishka has taken to learning her puppy lessons from her mama very well. Mama-ishka has taught the kids that you don't pee/poo in your bed area nor near your food. Manishka is being kennel trained. She falls asleep by 10pm and wakes up bright and happy at 7:30am. She is also being potty trained. She will wake up and quickly make her way to the backyard door. She will even wake up from her naps and cry out to let us know she has to pee. She is a FAST learner! But, considering her very young age she will need continued training to help her be the best pup that she can be. She's at the perfect age to introduce into any home! This little girl is also a HUGE LOVE BUG!!! She does love to be petted, held, cuddled, etc. She will happily look at you with her big GORGEOUS BLUE eyes and give you a big wet kiss! Her gaze will melt your heart!!! MaRishka is ready to learn, love, and live with her family. Are you ready to have a fun and happy pup as a member of your family? All of MaRishka's vetting has been done by my personal dogs' vet. The following is a list of what has been done for her... Spayed All 4 - DA2PP shots (Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2 (Hepatitis), Parvo, and Parainfluenza) Bordatella shot Rabies shot Dewormed Tested, Treated (if needed), and retested for giardia and coccidia Iverhart heartworm preventative Simparica fleas and ticks preventative Chipped There are two categories of vaccines: “core” vaccines that are recommended for all pets, and “non-core vaccines” which may be recommended by your vet based on lifestyle and exposure risk. The core vaccine for dogs is the Rabies vaccine, which is required by law. The second core vaccine for dogs is often referred to as the DA2PP or DHPP vaccine. This stands for “Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2 (Hepatitis), Parvo, and Parainfluenza”, meaning that this vaccine protects against FOUR different diseases. It is especially important for puppies to begin a series of DA2PP vaccines at six to eight weeks of age, as natural immunity obtained from the mother decreases and puppies become very susceptible to potentially life-threatening diseases such as Canine Parvovirus (Parvo). Parvo is transmitted through feces and can remain in the environment for at least one month, and up to a year if the conditions are right. This means that puppies do not need to be directly exposed to another dog that has Parvo in order to contract the disease, and caution is advised when choosing where and how to socialize and exercise your pup. We recommend avoiding exposure to unknown dogs or public places until your puppy has finished their vaccine series. BUT, all A.M.O.R. puppies (1 year old and less) have all FOUR shots. They are safe to join you and your family on your outdoor adventures and you can rest at ease. Non-core vaccines for dogs include Bordetella, Influenza, Leptospirosis and Lyme. The Bordetella (aka: Kennel Cough) help to prevent highly-contagious respiratory diseases, and are essential for dogs that may be exposed to other dogs, especially in group settings such as dog parks, daycare, or boarding facilities. All A.M.O.R. dogs and puppies are given a Bordatella vaccine. Bordatella boosters are given every 6 months. https://www.thedrakecenter.com/services/dogs/parasites/deworming-dogs The above link is to provide you information regarding why deworming is so important for all dogs of all ages (and for their families). All A.M.O.R.s are dewormed upon entering the rescue and then again 5 days before their health certificate visit (when they have been adopted and ready to travel). This dewormer is issued per our vet. And all pets are tested, treated (if needed), and retested for coccidia and giardia. A.M.O.R. provides you with this information so that you can be aware of the work and love that is given to each pet. Each puppy has visited the vet AT LEAST 5 times during their stay with us. They have seen the vet 4 times for their shots and will see the vet 1-2 more times prior to transport in order to obtain a health certificate for travel. Adult dogs have seen the vet AT LEAST 3 times. Two visits for their shots and 1-2 visits prior to transport in order to obtain a health certificate. Are you ready to have a lifetime of fun with MaRishka??? All animals receive a health certificate (stating that a licensed veterinarian saw the pet and deemed it healthy for travel, but is not a promise of perfect health). Please email for an A.M.O.R. application in order to be considered. Please note: this pet is located out of state.

Story
Lilly Polar Bear looks like ....well, a little Polar Bear! Such a HUGE surprise to see this little white furry baby pop out and be the only white Husky of her litter. She is also so sweet natured and adventurous. She is always ready for a naps and belly rubs. Right before we try to pick her up from her kennel so that she can go outside, she ALWAYS rolls over and lays there for belly rubs. She always makes us laugh! Lilly Polar Bear came into the A.M.O.R. rescue while still in the womb of hher Siberian Husky momma! Her momma was an owner surrender in another rescue and was adopted. But then it was realized that momma was pregnant. And was two weeks away from giving birth. Momma's adopter patiently waited for 9weeks until the babies were ready and weaned from momma. Lilly Polar Bear is fast, cute, cuddly, smart, sweet and loving....EVERYTHING you love in a puppy! She is also learning the word NO. She understands that some things are a NO NO. Most of the time, she enjoys having her food and playing a bit with her litter siblings. She also enjoys jumping in the kiddie pool and going for a little swim. After a little swim, she jumps out and shakes off the water and enjoys a little sun bathing. She is also learning all about naps and being kenneled and potty training. She is learning that there is a schedule to the day. Wake up, and go pee and poo outside at 7:30am. Then it is play time. Then eat some breakfast kibble. Then we poop again. Then it is more play time. Back inside for a nap by 9am. Then it is outside again at 11:30am for a pee/poo/play. A small snack at that time is had. And back in kennel for another nap at 1:30pm. Up and outside again at 4pm for pee/poo/play. Kibble Dinner is at 5:30pm. Lots of hard puppy playing happens from 4-6:30pm. The last nap of day happens from 6:30-8pm. And then the last pee/poo/play break happens from 8:00-9:30pm. Bedtime is by 10pm. Lilly Polar Bear sleeps the whole night through and no longer makes a mess in her kennel. If she ever needs to potty while in her kennel, she will go to one side and sleep on the other side. She has buried in her potty pad. She is still learning that we do not pee/poo where we sleep. But, she is getting there!!! But, as a puppy, she will still need training in this aspect for the first year of his life. Lilly Polar Bear is certainly ready to be in her own home. Are you ready for a sweet puppy kisses? All of Lilly Polar Bear's vetting has been done by my personal dogs' vet. The following is a list of what has been done for her... Story
HISTORY: Yukon was rescued as a stray in eastern Washington in February 2022. He was dirty, skinny and had several lacerations. He was obvious that he had been living on the streets and fending for himself for a while. Vets believe that he was born in Early 2018. UPDATE: Yukon is a now a big beautiful boy with a luxurious coat and ready for his forever home! Yukon is looking for an active family who will include him in all their activities. He would like a home with a yard and a 6' high fence that he can't jump over. Bonus if he finds a home with Husky/northern breed experience, and someone who loves to run like he does! He would also be good a playmate. Yukon would do best with older gentle kids as he would be too much for toddlers. He needs a home WITHOUT cats, chickens or small critters ADOPTION INFO Dog adoption fees include: - All Basic Dog Vaccinations - Rabies - Bordetella - Flea & Tick Treatment - Spay (Up to $400) - Neuter (Up to $300) - Microchip & Registration All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs and cats in our rescue. Story
HISTORY: Winchester was an owner surrender in Eastern Washington when he came into rescue May 24, 2023. He is a wonderful and friendly dog except he doesn't like to be in a cage. He is needing a FOSTER FAST! UPDATE: Winchester was very high energy when first coming out of his kennel and leaving Petsmart, but as soon as we were outside and had walked for a few minutes, he became STELLAR on a leash; I was shocked at how good he was! He liked to sniff around but ultimately seemed unbothered by car noise and other outside sounds, although he is interested in trying to meet other people and dogs (we did not do either on our walk so I can’t speak to how he would be if he was allowed to say hi). He seems pretty confident and is very sweet, definitely more of a chill demeaner once he gets some exercise out. He jumped up a few times when I first got him from the kennel but I think with training that would be something easy to work on. PLEASE SEE THE LINKS BELOW IS YOU COULD BECOME A FOSTER OR ADOPTER! Meet Tiffany 💕 * Interaction with People : Initially shy, so it's advisable to approach her slowly. However, once she's at ease, she becomes affectionate and even asks to be petted by leaning her head. * Interaction with Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs at the center. When they come up to smell her, she loves it! She's quite popular at the center ! * Separation Anxiety: Not applicable as she is currently at the center with other dogs. * Potty training: Only does outdoor elimination at the center. * Walking: There can be resistance or hesitance at first since she is apprehensive about going for walks with strangers. However, once she gets acclimated to them, she walks well alongside them. * Car Sickness: No car sickness, and she rides well in cars. 💌Special Note💌 * Excellent in responding to dependable staff members, and even puts her hand on the food bowl as if she would ask for food. Microchipped, negative recheck for heartworm, completed teeth scaling

We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle or cash. We no longer accept PayPal due to their high fees & charges but if the potential adopter wants to pay them we will accept PayPal. Look at this face, it’s haunting to think he almost lost his life. Jericho the easiest & nicest boy you will ever meet was in a death camp of a scary shelter in CA. How he ended up there, we will never know? The dreaded kill list was emailed out with many dogs with deadlines on them. Meaning, a rescue needs to save them or they will be euthanized. He had zero public interest & was not even listed anywhere on social media. He was in the shelter for months. We rescued this beautiful big boy & 4 other sweet souls out of kill shelters in CA on that very same day who desperately needed help that day or they were all going to be euthanized because no one wanted them. That day was 1 very sad & joyous day all at the same time. Because we knew so many others did not make it out. Without our amazing foster mum, this would not of happened. Jericho who is now looking own forever home & who will never give up on him again & dump him & love him just as his foster family & we do. Jericho was bought back to WA state from CA where he can’t wait to find him his loving forever home. Thank goodness this boy is so forgiving for what humans have done to him. He is the nicest boy you will have the pleasure of meeting. Jericho has experienced going to doggy daycare to socialize him with other dogs with countless breeds & does well. The absolute insanity to think this beautiful boy ended up in one of the highest county kill shelters in CA is soul destroying. Jericho is such a big sweetheart. Such a happy & so loving soul & yet such a peaceful soul. Jericho just wants to be loved. Disturbing to think no one wanted him & he was ready to die. The level of absolute madness here is so deeply sad for many of these beautiful souls out of CA kill shelters. He loves everyone he meets & enjoys being cuddled to & given love. That’s when he is standing still. He would be the type of boy who would like to experience many adventures. But that being said he is a very calm, sweet boy. He will also just sit or lay with you also. Wherever you are, that’s where he wants to be. Jericho needs to be watched when in the kitchen as he can counter surf if he finds something on the counter he wants to eat. Jericho is a great eater & not shy about his food & treats. He has put on a whopping 13.4 lbs since being in the rescue. Jericho’s new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard for his safety. He enjoys going out into the backyard & running around playing with his friends. Jericho has been great with his baths because he started having them the moment he was rescued with us so he is used to them. He is also really good with being brushed. He loves men & woman. Jericho loves a good car ride & gets so excited when you tell him he is going in the car. At first he wants to sit in your lap when you drive but once you tell him to get in the back, he listens to you & gets in the back & rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey. He does still need continued work walking on his harness & leash & will like to try to pull you to where he wants to go to but will listen to you. He is a strong boy. We are looking for a forever home for Jericho where someone is home during the day or he can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them & there must be another dog or dogs in the home for him to thrive. Jericho loves other dogs & needs another dog or dogs in the home to play with. This is mandatory for his new home. We are also looking for a crate free home for the lad only. He was left in a cage at the shelter until we rescued him. Jericho is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be patient with him. Jericho has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & does well with them & enjoys their company. It’s mandatory for him to be in a home with playful dogs. A fenced backyard is also mandatory. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take him to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory. Jericho is roughly just 3 years old & 73.4 lbs & is perhaps a Siberian husky what he is mixed with we are not sure at all. He is male, neutered & we just got him a dental scale & polish & he had dental x-rays. He is microchipped, had a 4DX snap test, he is heart worm negative & up to date on his shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed. We have spent far more on rescuing Jericho with all of his medical, dental, shots, transport fees, shelter pull fees, boarding fees etc that exceeds well over his adoption fees. Jericho not has been around cats since being in the rescue. But it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. We have not had him around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We were not there when Jericho was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Jericho friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Jericho potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Jericho has been through many traumas in his short time on this earth so when applying this needs to be kept in mind & for his care. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Jericho & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Jericho who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this spirited little lad. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Jericho has an adoption fee of $995 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Interested in adopting? See our adoption process. KANGA  thrives on adventure and would love an active adopter who will take him on adventures and give him plenty of play time! Kanga is a loyal guy and will be a great companion for someone. He LOVES the snow in the winter and to swim in the summer.  His number one favorite activity (even more than walks and treats) is going for car rides! He likes feeling the wind in his face through an open window (car surfing). Kanga is incredibly observant and curious. Kanga’s comfort with people has grown significantly while in rescue. He does need a little time to build trust, but eventually he will follow you around and give you kisses! He is also quite affectionate and loyal to those he bonds with. Kanga has excellent house manners and is happy to chill on his bed or lay beside you as you work. He has basic training and knows: sit, down, come, get it, stay, and release and is ready for the next level of training. He is very treat motivated and responds well to a clicker. Kanga just needs to know you can be counted on to pay attention to his physical cues when he’s feeling overwhelmed. Kanga would do best in a home setting with a secure yard and would prefer to be your only pet. He might do well with savvy teens as long as they are aware of Kanga’s “dog language” and can give him space when he needs it.  Are you the active, patient, forever home that Kanga is seeking? Kanga is currently enjoying the amenities of our Malley Valley doggie resort.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 18, 2024, 7:57 pm
