Meet Eva Greene! Eva is a gentle, sweet, adult husky mix who is looking for a quiet home with another dog. She really understands dogs more than people, so she takes cues and comfort from them and it helps her learn, trust and grow. Eva has come such a long way since she arrived, especially as she's discovered how nice and comfortable a home can be and she no longer wants to be outside in inclement weather or left alone for long. She does however enjoy the yard very much and as she's used to hanging out and enjoying the scenery, she will need a fenced yard for her continued happiness. She is playful and she prefers other friendly dogs and people to be calm. An intense, high-energy household would be difficult for her, but she'd love one where Netflix and chill or walks and hikes are a part of the routine. She is a gorgeous dog who sheds like a maniac as huskies tend to so be aware of the need for brushing! Eva is a gem and we can't wait till someone sees her the way we do! HISTORY: Yukon was rescued as a stray in eastern Washington in February 2022. He was dirty, skinny and had several lacerations. He was obvious that he had been living on the streets and fending for himself for a while. Vets believe that he was born in Early 2018. UPDATE: Yukon is a now a big beautiful boy with a luxurious coat and ready for his forever home! Yukon is looking for an active family who will include him in all their activities. He would like a home with a yard and a 6' high fence that he can't jump over. Bonus if he finds a home with Husky/northern breed experience, and someone who loves to run like he does! He would also be good a playmate. Yukon would do best with older gentle kids as he would be too much for toddlers. HISTORY: Winchester was an owner surrender in Eastern Washington when he came into rescue May 24, 2023. He is a wonderful and friendly dog except he doesn't like to be in a cage. He is needing a FOSTER FAST! UPDATE: Winchester was very high energy when first coming out of his kennel and leaving Petsmart, but as soon as we were outside and had walked for a few minutes, he became STELLAR on a leash; I was shocked at how good he was! He liked to sniff around but ultimately seemed unbothered by car noise and other outside sounds, although he is interested in trying to meet other people and dogs (we did not do either on our walk so I can’t speak to how he would be if he was allowed to say hi). He seems pretty confident and is very sweet, definitely more of a chill demeaner once he gets some exercise out. Jason Momoa is a looker, just like his name sake- and thankfully, he's just a great a dog as he is good looking! He is slightly smaller than your typical American Akita but he's got that Akita mindset. This means he can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but as he's young and smart, he's learned quickly that people bring the fun (and food)- so he makes friends quickly now. He also loves to play and along with training, these are the keys to his heart! He already knows quite a few commands and walks well on a leash- but also loves to run and play in the yard. He plays his own version of fetch which mostly involves running around with the ball- not so much bringing it back- but he loves this game! Typical for his breed, he can be slightly protective and this is why we require someone with previous "power breed" or Akita experience. Akitas are typically not first time dogs and they need boundaries and structure that most first time owners do not understand (which is exactly why he is with us). Jason is crate trained and housebroken. He would do best in a home with no children. Jason is UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. ADOPTION DONATION: $600.00. Tsuki is a purebred Alaskan Malamute, I bought as an 8 week old. She has been a perfect family dog with my two children from ages 4 to 10 the last 4 years. She loves cats, and has two small ferrets that are technically her pets that love to climb on top of her. She is very sweet, very gentle and does not ask for much. Honestly, she is a very easy dog to care for. She just wants love and care. Unfortunately, my own family has seen some major life changes in the last two years and she went from a 5 acre ranch to a city apartment. Honestly, she does well in the apartment too, as long as she has someone with her. It is just that now, that is no longer possible. My mother and her dog have moved into a senior home, my kids go to school during the day, and I work nights. This means that Tsuki has to be left alone for hours at a time, this has lead to depression and howling when we are away. No intervention has worked. The truth is, Tsuki just does best when she is with others. Dog or human.
