Story
MEET SULLY. Sully is a small and shy 11-month-old shepherd-husky-pit mix in need of a new home. He is about 40 lbs - and a bit scared of the world. Sully takes awhile to warm up to a person, but with some love and patience, he will blossom into a wonderful dog. He's very bonded to his brother, Cole, but Sully may also do better on his own, so he cannot rely on his brother for support. He will do best in a quiet home with an active person or couple who can give him the time and love that he needs. Please email for an application. Thank you.

Story
HI THERE, I'M IVY, a 3-year-old Siberian Husky girl, currently in the Greater Seattle area. I've got a heart as big as a park and a spirit as bright as sunshine. I'm a sweet soul, always ready to share my warmth with you. I'm pretty smart too, I've been told. I love exploring, sniffing out new things, and can slip out of a collar in no time. I'm also quite independent, content to entertain myself, but I do love humans. Your company will my favorite pastime. I'm mellow for a husky, never one for unnecessary fuss. And I'm cuddly, I love a good snuggle. My curiosity keeps life interesting, and my gentleness makes me a great companion. I was rescued from a California shelter, where I had a kennel mate. But I can be a bit of an alpha girl, so my canine companion would need to be pretty special and understanding of my bossy girl ways. I truly am a people dog, and will be your shadow and welcome you home with a smile and a wag. I weigh about 55 lbs. Please email for an application.

Story
HI - I'M ADORABLE RUMBA! I am a happy and lovable 3-year-old male husky mix, currently in a Seattle area foster home. I have so many positive traits and the list is long! I'm the ultimate snuggle enthusiast and loyal companion. I bond quickly, and will always want to be by your side. And I would love to watch TV with you on the couch. I'm also a sweetheart with kids! I'm currently in a foster home with a 6-year-old, and I'm gentle and loving. I'm also a great companion for outdoor adventures! I'm a good on-leash running partner. Even though I'm a husky mix, I would also do fine with a couple half-hour walks each day. It's not a necessity, but I am sure I would love a fenced yard so I can run around and have fun. However, I'd do fine in a condo or apartment, too. I'm very tuned in to my people and want to make them happy! And I'm super smart - I learn the ropes quickly and am very trainable. I love other dogs and would do great in a home with another dog. I've participated in many play groups and have done well with multiple dogs at a time! No cats, though - my prey drive is a bit too high for the kitties! I weigh about 56 lbs., and would do great with an active person, people or family, and preferably with someone who works from home or is retired, only because I love being with people so much! Please email for an application.

Story
MEET COLE! Cole is a 1-1/2-year-old Husky mix in need of a new home! Cole and his brothers and sister were rescued as infants when their mom (a husky-shepherd mix) found herself at a California shelter, nursing her pups. Cole and his brother Sully are currently in a foster home together near Seattle - Cole is the more outgoing of the two. Cole will do well in a quiet home with an active person or people who have patience, and can take him for walks, hikes and other outings. He would love to be adopted with his brother, too, but it's not mandatory. He weighs 74 lbs. Please email for an application. Thank you.

Story
HI - I'M PATCH! I'm a 1-year-old husky mix in need of a foster or forever home! I was rescued from a California high-kill shelter in the nick of time. I LOVE human attention and affection. I would do well with a single person or people who are active, and who love to go for walks, hikes and other outings. I'm still young but well behaved. I pose well for pictures! I have not been tested with other dogs yet but will be soon. Overall I'm a loving boy who simply needs someone to love me back! Please email for an application.

Story
To meet Silo, please submit an application at www.thehausofdogs.com/adopt . Silo came to us from Eastern WA. When his former owner was arrested, he found himself suddenly homeless and in a shelter. Despite his world turning upside down, this cutiepie has remained happy-go-lucky! If you're looking for a unique furry friend, Silo might just be the perfect companion for you. This husky mix defies all the typical husky stereotypes. He's a quiet and calm boy who prefers to keep things mellow. Unlike most huskies, he won't fill your home with howls and barks, making him an excellent choice for those who want the beauty of a husky without the noise. Silo is fully crate trained and keeps his living space clean. He's also not a Houdini husky -- he never tries to break free from his crate. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, making him an ideal addition to any multi-pet household. He walks real easy on leash, never pulling or dragging you down the street. His calm demeanor means he's not hyper or overly energetic. Silo loves car rides and will be a great travel buddy for all your adventures. At just 35lbs, Silo is fully grown and perfectly sized for any home, big or small. If you've always wanted a husky but were hesitant about the high energy and vocal nature, Silo is the husky mix you've been dreaming of. Give this special boy the loving family he deserves and experience the joy of having a non-husky husky in your life! Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Isn’t this boy ABSOLUTELY STUNNING?! Diego has waited quite a while for a foster or forever home! He is a 2-3-year-old Siberian Husky weighing about 55 pounds. He is a very happy and friendly boy who spends his days playing with other dogs in the play yard! Diego is your typical silly and active husky, needing a family that can keep him properly exercised. He is so loving, sweet, and intelligent! He has already learned some basic obedience from his time at the rescue. Diego enjoys time with his people and would make a great adventure buddy! He is good with other dogs but prefers females most of the time. Diego is also an awesome playmate! His preferred forever home would have another female dog around his size so they could tucker each other out. He could, however, be an only dog with continued doggie socialization and play dates. He is not tested with cats. Diego is on the waitlist to be neutered and will be neutered before adoption. He is UTD on shots and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500.

Foster or forever home needed! Say hello to Mila! She is a three year old, 52lb, Siberian Husky who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. She is a gorgeous girl with an incredibly soft coat. She has a lot of energy and can be talkative as your typical husky is! Once she gets some energy out she is able to focus well. Mila would thrive in an active household that can take her running, hiking, or on long walks. Mila would do great with another active pup in the home to play with and be able to run and get energy out with! She needs a home with a fenced yard to run and play. Mila is UTD on vaccinations and spayed. Her adoption fee is $400.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Kobe! He is a 7-month-old, 25lb, husky mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. He is sweet, playful, and a great running partner! He would do best in an active household that will take him hiking, running, on long walks, and any other high energy activities. He walks well on leash and could benefit from some basic obedience training. We recommend a household with dog savvy children as he is still mouthy. He is treat motivated, which is great for training purposes. Kobe requires a home that will continue his dog socialization as he is getting confidence around other dogs. He does have some leash reactivity to higher energy dogs, but seems to do well with small and submissive dogs. Kobe is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Click the button to download the adoption application. The application is a form-fillable pdf. Fill out the form, save it to your hard drive, then email back to sian@gingerspetrescue.org Hi!  My name is Xavier from Korea and I am a wonderful approximately 5 month old  male Akita - Jindo mix.  I weigh approximately 14 lbs. and so excited to find my new forever home.  I am very happy, affectionate, smart, and friendly.  I was saved from the Korean kill shelter where I was due to be euthanized. The activists came and saved me and I can't wait to come to America and find a family to love and care for me forever.  Approximately over a million dogs a year are slaughtered to be eaten.  I am so lucky to get a one-way ticket to Seattle to find my new family.  Take me on car rides, walks in the park, and I will become your best friend.  I get along well with people of all ages, gentle kids, and other dogs.  I will do best with a loving family that can give me lots of love, and affection!  On all overseas adoption, we highly recommend our pet rescue dog trainer who will help train your new pup.  My adoption fee of $1,295 will cover my spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, Rabies, Bordetella, Deworm, Heart Worm Test, Microchip, Boarding Fees, Health Certificate and airline transport cost from Korea to Seattle.   A GPS tracker or Apple Air Tag is required for all adopted dogs. You can bring your own when adopting or you can purchase an Air Tag from us   We cannot guarantee breed or age. The adoption fee is firm and helps save the life of another dog needing rescue and our other dogs in need of medical care.  Donations are always appreciated to help pay down our vet bills at Greenwood Vet.  Ginger's Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501C-3 organization.  The adoption fee is donated to the rescue and is tax deductible.   Please e-mail   admin@gingerspetrescue.org   for an adoption application.
