Story
Animal Profile: Buck is an estimated 8 month old male husky mix who is social and friendly with people and dogs.  Foster Update: Handsome? Yes! Smart? Wicked smart! Up for adventure? Always! Buck is playful and eager to engage with everyone he meets. He’s top dog of the puppy pack and loves to run, wrestle and play. Buck has a great start on his crate training, walks well on leash, and is doing great with potty training on a consistent schedule. He loves other dogs, and would probably enjoy having a resident dog to play with, but it’s not a requirement. Buck is dog friendly and does well around horses as well. He’s going to be an incredible addition to the right active family. Adoption Info: The adoption fee is $550 which includes her spay, Rabies, 1st DPPV, Bordetella, microchip, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: These puppies were being given away at a fruit stand as they were an accidental litter.  They are being fostered in the greater Seattle area (Oakville) and are now available for adoption.August 19, 2024, 7:36 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Aspen is an estimated 1.5 to 2-year-old 45 lb female Husky who was picked up as a stray in San Bernardino after being hit by a car and suffering a broken pelvis. During her recovery she went into surprise labor and required a c-section. Three puppies survived. She has been a great momma and is super sweet and affectionate with people. We will share more info as we get to know her in foster care.  Foster Update: Aspen is suuuch a sweet Husky! She loves everyone she meets and is so affectionate, always wants pets. She is a great mama to her puppies and likes to play with them and also keeps them in line. She is potty trained and walks well on leash. She does exhibit some prey drive so a house without cats or other small animals would be best for her. Since her pups have now been adopted she has found a love of playing with other pups and gets along well with other dogs. We are looking for a home with a securely fenced yard(Huskies are escape artist's, Aspen can clear/climb a 4.5ft fence), breed  experience is a plus.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was rescued from San Bernardino city shelter in California in February by one of our rescue partners; she was transferred to Dog Gone Seattle with her three 4-week-old puppies arriving to Seattle area foster care on 05/5/24. She will be available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.August 19, 2024, 7:36 pm

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
A friend of ours rescued this precious pup as a 2 month old. She has several kids and couldn't keep her. We had an older dog and figured we could give her a good home. We live in a small apartment and soon realized this dog has ALOT of energy. Needs a home with a yard and a decent fence! At this point we can't meet that life goal just yet and recently found we have a baby on the way. We have a scheduled appointment to get her spayed and immunized, but the nearest appointment is in October. She is very friendly and loving, cute to a T! Friendly with most animals but rushes to chase squirrels. Pulls at the leash pretty rough(Can even manage to do a backflip on it.) Yard required for this one unless you have got alot of experience and patience with pulling. Crate trained and is decent in the house but does have accidents now and again. Still learning, only a little over a year old.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Isn’t this boy ABSOLUTELY STUNNING?! Diego has waited quite a while for a foster or forever home! He is a 2-3-year-old Siberian Husky weighing about 55 pounds. He is a very happy and friendly boy who spends his days playing with other dogs in the play yard! Diego is your typical silly and active husky, needing a family that can keep him properly exercised. He is so loving, sweet, and intelligent! He has already learned some basic obedience from his time at the rescue. Diego enjoys time with his people and would make a great adventure buddy! He is good with other dogs but prefers females most of the time. Diego is also an awesome playmate! His preferred forever home would have another female dog around his size so they could tucker each other out. He could, however, be an only dog with continued doggie socialization and play dates. He is not tested with cats. Diego is on the waitlist to be neutered and will be neutered before adoption. He is UTD on shots and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
Foster or forever home needed! Say hello to Mila! She is a three year old, 52lb, Siberian Husky who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. She is a gorgeous girl with an incredibly soft coat. She has a lot of energy and can be talkative as your typical husky is! Once she gets some energy out she is able to focus well. Mila would thrive in an active household that can take her running, hiking, or on long walks. Mila would do great with another active pup in the home to play with and be able to run and get energy out with! She needs a home with a fenced yard to run and play. Mila is UTD on vaccinations and spayed. Her adoption fee is $400.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Kobe! He is a 7-month-old, 25lb, husky mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. He is sweet, playful, and a great running partner! He would do best in an active household that will take him hiking, running, on long walks, and any other high energy activities. He walks well on leash and could benefit from some basic obedience training. We recommend a household with dog savvy children as he is still mouthy. He is treat motivated, which is great for training purposes. Kobe requires a home that will continue his dog socialization as he is getting confidence around other dogs. He does have some leash reactivity to higher energy dogs, but seems to do well with small and submissive dogs. Kobe is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
Animal Profile:  Millie was listed as a ~2 year old retriever mix, but based on her personality we think she is maybe a little Chow with a sprinkle of street dog. She weighs 32lbs. She is a traveler at heart - she walked herself right across an international bridge and found herself in Del Rio, TX. Our rescue partners scooped her up and she is enjoying life in foster care. Warm bed, squeaky toys, and people and pets to play with. We are excited to meet this happy girl here in Seattle! Foster Update: Update on this girly.  She's doing great! She has settled in enough that she will work for cheese on our walks and is giving good engagement. She's getting 2, hour plus walks every day and is now way more comfortable around bikes and strangers. Honestly if I didn't have a senior kitty I'd be tempted to keep her; she’s got good house manners and is very well behaved in her crate. Millie is a little insecure meeting new people that come right into her space, and she prefers to take things slow but does warm up. With continued training and proper socialization she’ll be a wonderful addition to the right family. She has already learned sit, down and come and has pretty good recall with minimal effort. Millie does have some reactivity when other dogs bark and lunge or come right into her space. We are working on this, but she will need an adopter committed to continuing her training. She lives to sniff and enjoyed her hike, pretty easy going on leash, but also needs proper intros to new dogs. Millie would do best in a single family home with a fenced yard - she loves to sit outside and enjoy the smells. She would do well with a confident, dog social cat, but does have prey drive towards small animals outside the home.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog is being transferred from Animal Advocacy & Rescue, our partner in Del Rio Texas, and arriving via Paws Up Rescue on 03/25/24 to the Seattle area. This dog will be fostered in the greater Seattle area and available for adoption once evaluated in foster care. August 19, 2024, 7:36 pm
