Story
Hi, my name is Charley Feeny and while I'm the happiest buddy now, before my Underdog days I had a pretty rough go of it. I used to have a loving mama, but one day she went away, and I found myself living with a person who did not like me very much. He was not feeding me or even letting me in from the cold. I wandered off and a nice lady found me. I showed her where I lived and she took me back, but the man said I was a stray and even though I barked and barked, he would not let me inside. The nice lady took me to a shelter. They said I was a hospice senior, and I that I was on the urgent rescue list. Fortunately, the staff really liked me, so they reached out to Underdogs, who sent a new mama to pick me up. My new foster home is so nice. There are other dogs to play with, I am allowed to curl up under the covers whenever I want to and there is lots of healthy food and treats to eat. She took me to the dog doc and she told her that I was neither neither a senior nor a hospice dog. I tried to tell everyone that, but apparently dog docs are more trustworthy. As it turns out, I am only about 6 years old and though not being fed regularly and neglected overall was hard on my kidneys, proper food and some medicine have been healing them nicely. I now weigh thirteen pounds and am looking perky and am the most handsome scruffy terrier and miniature poodle mix.  I love the fenced yard at my foster digs and I especially love going for walks in the morning. New foster mama put an open crate in the living room so I can go in there any time I need time to myself. I also like toys to play with. One weekend we had lots of company, including a 12-year-old girl and extra dogs. Mama said she was so proud of how I behaved.  She tells me that we are looking for my new forever family, someone that will take me for walks, feed me well, love me and help me feel secure again. She says that I will do best with adults and older children with dog experience. I love dog friends, but the kitties are not my most favorite.  If you're interested in adopting Charlie Feeny, please fill out an adoption application here: https://underdogsrescue.org/adopt-form/ Underdogs is a small volunteer-based animal rescue and we unfortunately do not have the resources to respond to phone and email inquires about our adoptable animals at this time. Story
Meet Sophie. She is a sweet little gal that just wants to sit next to you on the couch. She likes to hang out with smaller dogs but will get along with all dogs and cats as long as they respect her boundaries. This little gal is potty trained and not very active. She prefers to sit on the couch instead of going for walks. She does walk well on the leash and stays near her foster. She loves her crate since that is her safe spot away from the house animals. She is a little afraid of heights and prefers her crate to be on the floor. She also prefers to walk herself instead of being carried. Sophie is an older dog, so it is recommended that she is not placed in a forever home with younger children. She is a very sweet little girl and would make an excellent addition to any family whether in a house or apartment. ##2121415##

Story
Need a foster or adopter for this cutie! Say hello to Monkey! He was rescued from the streets where he was living under a trailer that he used for shelter from the blazing sun in Houston, TX. To say he would not have survived much longer on his own is not an exaggeration (see the before pics). Poor Monkey was suffering with mange, parasites and severe malnutrition. Fast forward several weeks and he is looking so handsome!! Monkey has been in a foster home in Texas for over a month but we would love to bring him to Colorado to find his forever home? Can you foster or adopt him? We are estimating his age at 1 - 2 years and he weighs 30 lbs. While he has certainly gained weight while in rescue he hasn't changed in stature so we do not think he will get any bigger. Monkey is crate trained and has some experience on leash and would love to accompany you on a daily outing! Monkey does not have accidents in his kennel when his foster mom is gone but he will likely need some guidance as he transitions to a new schedule and routine. This little cutie is crazy for treats, espeically cheese!  Best guess on his breed is maybe some kind of Small/Medium / StaffordshireTerrier. Monkey is heartworm negative, neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated! If you would like to adopt/foster please apply at https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  The adoption fee of $250 includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming and microchip.   Please note, Circle 2 Rescue cannot guarantee the breed, composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have limited history prior to them entering the rescue.  ##2131415##

Story
Ive is a very sweet little girl who will bond quickly and follow you everywhere you go! She is very active but loves to sleep a lot as well. She is great about using the doggy door at her foster home and appears to be completely housebroken. She gets along great with other dogs and everyone she's met, but we haven't tested her with cats (we think she'd be fine). We have taken care of all of her medical needs and all she wants is a soft place to land for the rest of her life. Note: her actual age is unknown as she was transferred from a shelter to our rescue - and was left in the "drop box" at the shelter with no information. She could be 10-12 years.
