Story
Mackenzie is a sweet, gentle and loving dog. She is good with all humans and dogs. She is great on the leash and she howls with excitement when she knows a walk is coming 💗 Although we absolutely love Mackenzie and will miss her dearly, it would be best for her to be in a home without children or with an older adult who has some extra time on their hands so she gets the attention and routine she deserves. She has some anxiety and needs routine and a mild antidepressant to help her thrive. Her anxiety manifests in hiding anywhere she can to feel safe. She prefers to be in small, secure and enclosed spaces such as a crate in a bathroom or laundry room when she gets stressed. Like most dogs, she is triggered by fireworks and any loud thunder type sounds. She is also sensitive to beeping from television shows that are censoring foul language. For her safety, she needs a home with a secure yard or large property where she can roam free and come home after some exploring.

Story
Hi, I'm Freddie. I'm a handsome and regal looking 4 yr. old, 73 lb. black lab mix. I'm playful, friendly and affectionate. In spite of all my great qualities, I spent over a year in a shelter before SPOT rescued me (Black dogs and large breeds frequently get unfairly passed over by adopters for some reason) I love toys of all kinds and enjoy chasing a ball. I still haven't quite mastered that part about bringing it back! I get along great with other dogs and people. Unfortunately, cats, not so much. Since coming to SPOT, I have worked with a trainer to develop my leash manners and to follow basic commands. I would like to learn even more, if my new family will work with me. (Just to make sure I get off on the right track, SPOT will provide refresher sessions with my Trainer. I recently had some surgery to fix my leg and its all better.I love my daily brisk walks and romps in the backyard. Since I am a big strong dog, you should probably have experience with bigger dogs. Freddie is a dog who, more than anything deserves a second chance! He will reward that lucky family who adopts him with a lifetime of love and loyalty. Could you be that family? If you think you might, please fill out an application so we can arrange for you to meet Freddie. Freddie's Adoption fee is $300 and includes neuter, microchip and current vaccinations. Story
How this pet arrived: Rocky was brought in by his previous owner on April 10, 2024. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Rocky, a shy but sweet boy looking for his new home. Rocky was kept outside without much socialization in his previous home, so he's still discovering how wonderful new human friends can be! Rocky adores treats and thrives on gentle care and patience. He's looking for a calm and quiet home where he can continue to blossom. Due to his sensitive nature, Rocky would do best in a household with older children (over the age of 6) who understand his need for gentle interactions. Make sure to bring along the entire household so that we can ensure a good fit! If you're ready to open your heart and home to this pup deserving of love and comfort, come meet Rocky and we will even send you home with his leash and collar!Shy/Fearful Dog: Rocky requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about him. Primary Color: Black Weight: 70.8 Age: 1yrs 8mths 0wks
