Story
Goofball alert! Bobo is such a lovable dog! He is gentle and kind, and fit right in with everyone: adults, children, and dogs. He sits, lays down, waits for his food until he is told OK, and then he lies completely on the floor while he eats! He plays, “Go find” where he sits while someone throws treats around and tells him to go find them. He gives paw as well. His ears, it appears, will stay in the "one up/one down" situation forever! He adores water and will be a total paddle board partner, and has positive energy for walking or hiking as well. Bobo even walks well on a leash. He is happy running around the yard and being able to get his unspent energy out. He would prefer an energetic friend, whether as a person or another dog, as he does have a lot of energy and he loves to play. He sleeps in his crate all night as well as when his people go out, and has no issues with that at all. He does love to snuggle at night and enjoys attention. His quirks: Bobo does still jump up out of excitement to say hello. He does have a counter-surfing obsession if anything is left out on a counter, and he does enjoy gloves and hats and glasses. He searches at times for them and then runs around the house with them. He can have a somewhat belligerent streak as far as listening, so someone who has had a cattle dog previously and can be a gentle alpha would be perfect. Bobo is as lovable as they come, though, and would love to find his right place!

Story
I found Ozzy via local neighbors in Fredrick, CO. There was an accidental pregnancy between a yellow lab and a Rottweiler resulting in 9 puppies. My daughters and I adopted one and I soon found out that I had to have a surgery. With my health issues we have decided that a puppy is not a good fit for us at this time. He is very smart; already learning basic commands and a very sweet puppy. I will provide toys, kennel, treats, leash, waste bags, food, and a puppy guide with a few more coupons for items you may need. He will not be ready to be neutered until probably nine months of age or when he finishes growing. Birthday- December 8th, 2024

Story
Marte (aka “Marte de la Calle") was found on the side of a highway in Baja Sur, Mexico. He had been thrown from a moving vehicle. Even though he was in a lot of pain, Marte’s joyful and happy personality was so clear as we scooped him up and took him to the vet. We learned that Marte had two broken back legs - one femur and one knee. Options were surgery or a double amputation. We decided to help him THRIVE and chose surgery and it worked! Marte is one of the fastest pups in the pack and is absolutely full of joy and life. He sits a bit funny, as one of his legs is a bit longer than the other, but to us that makes him even cuter. Marte is a lover of all humans and boy, he is excited to LIVE. He is always happy to see you and will dramatically wiggle his entire body upon greeting and if he is REALLY stoked, he likes to hug you with his “flappers” (aka paws).

Marte has been professionally trained by Flash Dog Training and comes with a few owner lessons too. He can be a bit excitable but is always full of love and joy, never malice. He is approximately 45 lbs and our best guess on his breed is boxer/lab mix. Marte is great with humans of all sizes but because he is pretty excitable, we recommend he goest to a home with kids over 5 and either no dogs or one calm dog. Sometimes because he has some physical limitations, he can get defensive and scared with other dogs but with proper introductions, he will love all of his four-legged doggie friends!Adopters need to be aware that due to his accident, Marte will likely have needs in the regard to the health of his back legs and hips as he gets older. Please apply to adopt on our website and then we can setup a meet and greet/put you in contact with the foster!

Story
Hi! My name is Marsha 3! I am about 2.5 years old, 50 pounds, and sweet as can be!I get along with other dogs and I love people! I'm totally okay with cats; sometimes I ignore them, sometimes they hiss at me, and sometimes I'll run after them but it's totally just for fun!I'm pretty good on a leash and I could use a little more work: sometimes I pull, sometimes I react to other dogs at a distance, and I will try to get to a squirrel if we see one. A harness is definitely the way to go! Most of the time I'll sit at the door before you let e out but sometimes I get so excited to go out, I just can't stand it.When I'm in the yard with another dog I'll play a little bit but I mostly like to cruise around and watch squirrels. I don't bark, I just sit and watch. In fact, I'm not much of a barker, but I will definitely let you know if someone is coming to the front door.Lastly, I am soooooo good in a crate! I prefer to be out at night - to snuggle with you or curl up on a bed or the couch. While you're out of the house, I am really mellow in my crate.I'd love to meet you so you can see for yourself what a sweet girl I am!

Story
Shy dog! This is a project dog 💗Hi! I am a lab mix currently living at the shelter in Ft Lupton. I was dumped and living at a grocery store parking lot with a bunch of other dogs when I was found. They did not know if I would ever come around, but they have seen some glimpses that give them great hope. He is great with other dogs, unassuming and easy-going. We know that if someone gives him a chance he is going to absolutely blossom.

Story
Meet the wonderfully silly and happy Ambrose! Ambrose is a 2 year old lab cattle dog mix with a big heart and a love for adventure. During a day out, he showcased his sweet temperament, curiosity, and love. He settled well in the car, alternating between looking out the window and laying down. He easily completed a 1.3 mile loop around the lake and seemed to be up for more! He was curious about people, especially the golfers nearby, and wanted to sniff every patch of grass on the path. He also loved attention and getting his ears scratched. When we took a break at a bench, he quietly and curiously watched people and dogs pass by. This smart boy also knows how to sit, and since he is treat motivated and eager to please, we believe he is highly trainable. On his way back to the shelter, he cuddled up and took a nap in the car. This sweet boy just wants to be by your side, accompany you on many adventures, and be your best friend. He lights up when he is around humans, making him a joy to be around. He is patiently waiting at the shelter. Stop by to meet him!
