Story
Tiffani is the perfect package of sweetness, smarts, and playfulness! This lovable girl is as well-rounded as they come and is looking for her forever family to shower with love and loyalty. Tiffani is a friend to everyone—she's fantastic with other dogs and would fit right into a multi-pet home. She’s also great with kids, making her an ideal family dog. With her gentle spirit and playful energy, she knows how to keep everyone entertained while also being incredibly affectionate. When it comes to manners, Tiffani is top-notch! She’s fully housebroken, crate trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. Her intelligence shines through, and she’s always up for learning new tricks or playing with any toy she can find (and she loves them all!). And did we mention her smile? Tiffani has the absolute best grin, which she’ll flash at you anytime she's in her happy place—which, for her, is almost all the time! If you're looking for a loyal companion with a big heart and a playful spirit, Tiffani is ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and endless smiles.  If she's such a good dog, then why hasn't she been adopted yet? Have you ever heard of "black dog syndrome"?  Black Dog Syndrome is a phenomenon where black dogs, especially larger ones, are often overlooked in shelters and rescues, resulting in longer stays and lower adoption rates compared to lighter-colored dogs. By adopting a black dog, you’re not only gaining a devoted pet—you’re breaking stereotypes and saving a life! Tiffani is a well balanced dog that would fit seamlessly into just about any home but her black coat has put her at the bottom of the adoption pool. Look at her smile, look at her energy, look at the love in her eyes... she will be the perfect companion for someone, black fur and all! To add Tiffani to your family, simply send us an email at springbranchrescue@gmail.com for adoption and fee information. She is wagging her tail and wiggling her butt at just the thought of finding her forever home and her story is just beginning. Her next chapter could be with you! Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest, and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. ##2137220##

Story
Meet Kelley – A Heart of Gold Name: Kelley Age: 2.5 years Breed: Labrador retriever/staffordshire terrier mix Health Status: Heartworm positive (treatment provided) About Kelley: Meet Kelley, a gentle and loving 2.5-year-old dog who has a story that will tug at your heartstrings. Kelley was found camping out at an abandoned hospital with her "boyfriend" and around 40 other dogs. When the demolition crew noticed she was pregnant, they compassionately set aside a safe area for her to give birth. Tragically, before rescue crews could reach her, a severe storm hit Houston, resulting in the heartbreaking loss of all but one of her puppies. Despite this trauma, Kelley remains a sweet and loving soul. She is a little shy at first but warms up quickly to those who show her kindness. Her nurturing instincts shine through, and her gentle nature makes her a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a loyal friend. Personality: Kelley is a true sweetheart. While she may be a bit shy initially, she is incredibly loving and thrives on affection. She is okay in a crate and has shown that she can adapt well to a home environment. Her kind demeanor makes her a great match for families or individuals who are willing to provide her with a little time to come out of her shell. Health and Recovery: Kelley is heartworm positive, but with the support of our rescue, she will receive the necessary treatment to help her recover. With your love and care, she can look forward to a bright, healthy future. Heartworms are alarmingly common in stray dogs in the Houston area, primarily due to the region’s warm and humid climate, which creates ideal conditions for mosquitoes—the primary carriers of the heartworm parasite.  When you choose to adopt a heartworm positive dog, you're not just giving them a second chance at life—you're also embracing the opportunity to make a profound difference in their journey to recovery. Heartworm positive dogs are often overlooked, but they are just as loving, loyal, and deserving of a forever home as any other pup. By adopting one, you’ll experience the joy of watching them blossom into a healthy, happy companion. Your love and care can help them overcome this challenge, and in return, they will shower you with unconditional affection and gratitude for the rest of their lives.  If you’re looking to open your heart to a dog who has already shown incredible resilience, Kelley is waiting for you! She deserves a loving forever home where she can feel safe and cherished.  To add Kelley to your family, simply send us an email at springbranchrescue@gmail.com for adoption and fee information. Meet Mosby!Observed by shelter staff:Mosby is a 2 year old intact male labrador retriever mix! Mosby is a friendly ball of energy who loves to run and play. He would do best in an active family who can help him work on his basic commands and manners. Mosby appears friendly towards the dogs here but would probably chase a cat. Due to his energy and jumpiness we would recommend a home with dog savvy children. Mosby is ready to find his forever home to go on lots of adventures with!Weighs 56 pounds $25 to adopt

Story
Meet Oakley – Your New Best Friend! If you’re looking for a dog who will keep you laughing, shower you with love, and be your loyal sidekick, Oakley is your guy! This sweet, goofy boy has a heart of gold and a playful spirit that makes every day more fun. He loves to romp around, play with his toys, and make new friends. While he’s always up for an adventure, he’s just as happy to relax and soak up affection from his favorite people. Oakley is housebroken, crate-trained (though he’d love to sleep somewhere cozier!), and walks well on a leash. He’s a strong pup who sometimes doesn’t realize his own size, so he’d do best with dog friends who can match his energy. He’s also neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on all his vaccines, so he’s ready to start his new life with you! Whether you’re looking for a hiking buddy, a playmate for your other pup, or just a loving companion to brighten your days, Oakley is the perfect fit. He’s a truly special dog who will bring so much joy to the right home. To add Oakley to your family, simply send us an email at springbranchrescue@gmail.com for adoption and fee information.
