My name is Zinnia, but my friends call me Zinny! I am a 40# petite, 1-1/2 year old Lab X. I am the perfect Pocket Lab pup if you ask me! I may be a bit shy at first, but once I warm up to you, I'm as sweet as can be! The puppy in me still learning to trust humans, but I'm incredibly energetic and playful once I feel safe. Oh, and I love to howl - it's my way of expressing myself! I'm ready to find a loving home where I can thrive! I'm a big fan of squeaky toys, and bones - they're just so much fun! My bestest home would be some awesome, active people who love to play with me, while still teaching and training me to be my best self! I adore other dogs, am crate and house-trained, and know plenty of tricks. I would need to have very respectful older kids, and am very curious about cats. Would you want to be mine? ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting Zinnia, please fill out an online application at caws.org. Thanks! Story
Kahlo 8 is a 8-month-old cattle dog mix, tri-pod girl that is ready to find her forever home! Kahlo is a shy pup who comes to us from a local tribal reservation where she was discovered with a severe leg injury which required amputation however she has healed up well and is incredibly mobile! Kahlo takes a minute to warm up to new people, but with treats and time she is very sweet and loyal. Her favorite things are playing with her doggy friends and lounging in soft dog beds. She also loves toys, bones, belly rubs, and doing zoomies around the yard. She is house and crate trained, and super smart. She will need a family that can be patient and gentle with her while she continues to learn new things. She is working on walking on a leash and riding in the car and is completely crate trained. Kahlo will do best in a home with a canine companion and a fenced in yard. Kahlo has a lot of love to give and will make a wonderful companion! If you'd like to meet Kahlo, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Story
Have you ever felt SOOOO happy you ran around with your favorite toy, laughing as loud as you could, hugging everyone you came in contact with and just feeling so lucky to be alive?! Well, my soon-to-be best friends, this is how I live every, single day! My name is Amaya, and I'm a 3-year-old, 65-ish pound Lab mix with a zest for life that is unrivaled. I greet each morning with enthusiasm, joy and curiosity. It is impossible to be around me and not feel happier. I haven't had an easy road, and yet I remain playful and full of hope. I LOVE toys, especially those that squeak and those I can shake and tug. I am housebroken and crate trained, but I can be dog selective - probably because I come on strong when I first meet dogs. With a slower intro and playful pups, I have done well. I have graduated from a basic obedience class, and I’m pretty good on a leash. I sometimes bark at other dogs, but I’m easily disengaged, and I’m working on learning ‘place’ and polite introductions with trainers who are committed to helping my new family understand all the great things I’ve learned! I’m also working on impulse control because - hello, have you met many labs? WE LOVE EVERYTHING!!! I am super smart and eager to please, which makes me an amazing student. I am not cut out for a sedentary life, so I’d love humans who run, bike or hike. I’m very loving and I deserve companions who see what a gem I am and how much happier your life will be with me in it!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Story
Hi, Humans! My name is Lilly, and I'm a 3 year old lab mix who is hoping to find a pack who appreciates my enthusiasm for life - especially squeaky toys! I've had a really rough start to life, but it hasn't dampened my joy or my ability to brighten even the worst day. I was locked up a lot, hit and mistreated so I can be a little shy or skittish sometimes. But I LOVE people and warm up really quickly. I love snuggles SO much! I have lost sight in one eye, so that makes me a little jumpy sometimes, but I do really great and usually no one notices. I am crate trained, but I was locked up a lot so sometimes I cry when I need love or want to play. I love to fetch, and I can be a bit possessive of toys with other dogs. But I'm learning good manners, and I'm eager to please and very smart,I ignore chill cats, but I might chase skittish cats. I need a slow intro to active or 'in your face' dogs. I've lived with other dogs the last two years and got along great. Even though I'm an active girl, I can also chill out and snuggle my people. I'm trust worthy left on my own especially if I have a bone or a chew toy. I have some allergies, but they're addressed through diet. I'd really love an active family who also needs the best snuggles from the sweetest pup! Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Story
My name is Sushi! I am 36lb, 1-1.5 year old Lab / Terrier mix, I always have a smile on my face, though can be shy at times…especially around new people. I have a cute lighter-colored halo on my head that kind of makes me special. I am fully house trained and I learned to use the doggy door at my foster home so fast you wouldn’t believe it! I need a little more time to get comfortable with a leash and collar. I’m starting to know that when my dog friends and I get into a vehicle it’s to go have lots of fun and I do not need to be frightened of it! I love to zoom around the yard, play, chew dog toys, sleep in my doggy bed and be snuggled and kissed.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Story
My daughter's dog had a litter of 14 puppies. She was struggling trying to find a home for all of them so my husband and I decided to take keep one. We took the smallest of the 14 in hopes he would stay small. We live in an apartment so we knew the dog would not have a lot of space. Iggy is bigger than were expecting him to get and he needs room to run. He is smart and very energetic. Our hope is to find someone who will love him and give him a forever home.

Story
Meet Ollie! This handsome, high energy guy would do AMAZING in a home with a jogger or someone who wants to pursue agility, fast cat, and trick titles. He is a nut about the slat mill, and racing around in wide open spaces. He is e-collar trained and comes with an off-leash recall, he walks nicely on leash (no pulling), and he is happy to stay put where and when you tell him. He has some competition obedience and scentwork skills on him if that is an avenue you’d like to pursue. Great with all animals, great with people (a little excitable if his energy needs haven’t been met), super cuddly, and would thrive in a home who needs a best bud. Ollie is a perfect house dog once his energy needs have been met within the last 24 hours. Again, he’s a high energy boy and will need an outlet. A yard and a playmate is probably not enough, but an avid jogger or someone who loves training and fast paced sports would be a perfect home Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 26, 2025, 3:21 pm
