Story
This is Captain! A lab/pit mix. He was recently rescued from living in a crate full time and brought into our home to help him socialize with other dogs and become house trained outside the crate. He is in need of someone who can give him the attention he deserves. We would love to keep him but about 2 weeks after bringing him home we found out we were pregnant. He’s ok around children, but we are not sure how he will do with an infant. He does not know how big he is, but he is kind.

I have had Khloe since she was a puppy, she is great with our 1 year old and 6 year old and always has been. Unfortunately due to a Military move we are not aloud to take her to our next location and I have to give her up. She is still full of energy and is a great family pet.

Story
Silas was purchased by a couple who thought they wanted a puppy, and who actually put some effort into training him… until the novelty wore off and they left Silas with older relatives who just didn’t have the time or energy for a pet.The relatives made sure Silas was good-to-go medically (neutered, vaccinated, etc.), and then reached out to a shelter for help. They knew he deserved better than the life they could offer – tied out in a yard, sleeping alone in a shed. So, what’s going on???We have a healthy, neutered, affectionate, very trainable BLACK LAB PUPPY here at the shelter…And he’s still here! When sweet, 10-month-old Silas arrived at Animal Aid 19 days ago, we all fell in love, but prepared for a fast goodbye. We were sure a lucky person or family would swoop him right up!Silas is delightful – a gorgeous bundle of puppy joy and wonder, so eager to learn and please! He loves impressing us with good behavior – he’s just so proud when we praise him!Silas is fun – I know “fetch” isn’t the most interesting game for humans, but something about the way Silas lights up when you play with him… suddenly, you WANT to toss that ball!Silas is snuggly – he just loves to be loved.Silas wants to go home – a REAL home where his humans return the love he so freely gives. Forever.Silas would make a terrific family dog (he was great with young children!) or a devoted companion to an active person or couple. Please SHARE this post or come meet Silas! Toss the ball around! Get some sweet Silas snuggles! But, most importantly, help us get this boy HOME.Silas is waiting to meet you at Animal Aid Society, 80 Butler Farm Road, Hampton, VA.Visiting hours are 9am to noon, every day including weekends & holidays.Interested? Come for a visit any day of the week - 365 days a year between 9am - 12pm. Hope to see you soon!PLEASE NOTE: Animal Aid Society observes a 40 mile adoption radius to facilitate post adoption support and follow ups.

Story
Hi there, I`m Stormy. I may be young, but I`ve got a heart full of love and loyalty. I`m as mellow as a lazy Sunday afternoon, and as cuddly as your favorite blanket. I can be a bit goofy sometimes, but that`s just part of my charm. I love to play, and I`ve got a great sense of humor. I`m smart too, I`ve already learned so many things. I was surrendered because of landlord issues, but I promise I`m a good girl. I`m sweet, friendly, and just looking for a forever home where I can share all my love. So, why should you adopt me? Because every home needs a loyal, loving, goofy girl like me to brighten up the day.

Story
Having to give away my previous animal which was very hard for me to do I kind of got lonely and wanted best friend animal. So a military family who was getting ready to relocate to Germany posted a ad in the Virginian-Pilot about free dog getting ready to move overseas not able to take dog so free dog best friend lonely met Bella and I instantly fell in love but now with my work schedule being chaotic and my wife just had a new baby we have to keep Bella in a crate so that way we don't have any accidents or hiccups with the baby or my wife. The one thing I will say about Bella is that she's very protective as the alpha female she protects her territory and protects what is hers when she's outside she loves to run she just loved being outside. But like I said with me and my wife working she has to stay in a cage and it's not fair to her to be in xxxx@xxxx.x I'm looking for someone who is willing to spend time with Bella take her own Adventures on walks let her know that she is loved

Story
hello meet beautiful Bosch. This Boxer/Lab/Pit mix such an adorable puppy. He was born on May 17, 2024 and is still a baby. He is looking for a family to grow up with or he can romp and play, have his forever best friend bring any family a lot of joy. This sweet boy weighs 42 pounds, has been neutered and had all of his vaccinations. We feel that Bosch will be a good solid 50 lb adult boy and definitely will bring many compliments for his handsome good looks. If you would like to make Bosch a part of your family consider yourself lucky because he is a true gem. He gets along beautifully with other dogs  and children.  Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue via email at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 22, 2025, 9:20 pm

Story
Benny- 60 lb, 12  months old, black with white paws, lab/shepard mix    Handsome Benny may look full grown but he's still just a playful, energetic puppy! This boy loves to play and wrestle with other dogs, he requires a fenced in yard where the fence is at least 5 ft high so he can run and explore. He needs a doggie playmate.  He's agile enough to jump a fence should he want to, even though he has not tried at his foster home. He knows commands like come, sit and paw. Benny is a quiet, very friendly pup and great with people. He looks forward to cuddling up on the couch with his family. We think he would do very well in a two dog household as he does get lonely and bored when left alone. Exercise is a must for this boy so an active family would be great for him. He is fully potty trained.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 12, 2025, 9:47 pm

Story
My name is Brother Buddy and I am a very sweet and easygoing puppy born around Sept. 10th 2024.  I am a Lab mix that currently weighs 28 lbs. as of 1/5/25. I am looking for a wonderful family to love and to cuddle with. I would love to start off my New Year getting to know some wonderful kids and mom and dad that I can grow up with. I came from a home that had too many dogs and none of them were fixed. There were several mama dogs with puppies. I was lucky to get out when I did. My foster mom says that i'm an old soul kind of pup that really is it hyper or noisy or hard to teach.  I am in a really nice foster home and I am getting the best training,  food, love and having a fun time. I look forward to cuddling with my new forever family and going on adventures in the car or on walks or just playing fetch in the backyard. I have all sorts of plans and I'm ready to get started. Now that all the holiday rush is over. I am pretty much housebroken but will need some leash training. I'm just so young and so carefree that my foster mom hasn't really started me on a leash. I am handsome, or so they tell me, and I am going to grow up to be about a 50 lb adult dog. If you are interested in adopting me, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.  I am neutered and ready to share a great life together. Story
We are so happy to present to the world. Our handsome we'll revoke and bubbly boy named Bosch. This eight month old Boxer/lab mix is a lot of fun to have around. He is 47 pounds of playfulness who loves to fetch and retrieve while platting with his humans.  He enjoys car rides and loves to go on fast paced walks. Bosch is great for the active family but we recomnend older children 10 years and above due to his bouncy enthusiasm. He gets along great with other dogs, doesn't seem interested in cats and is your micro shadow dog that stays right by your side. Bosch loves to give you kisses, sit beside you in the car, or lay at your feet. He is just an older puppy that is striving to be a good lifetime companion. If you are interested in this handsome boy, please write to critter cavalry rescue at   Ccrtennessee@gmail.com.   Please mention where you live, city and state.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 14, 2025, 8:28 pm
