Story
Are you looking for an an easy going dog? - Oprah is your girl! She just wants to play, cuddle and eat. She sleeps on her bed next to our bed. She is house trained, crate trained and really enjoys being outside. We haven't had much of a need to crate her because she is not destructive so usually she just roams around the house. She does LOVE food so sometimes we will put her in her crate while we eat. She loves to play with the ball and you wouldn't know she is 10 since she has so much energy and she just can't get enough ????. She will keep bringing you her ball until you tell her it is enough. We have some prior engagements for which we have to bring her back to the shelter on 4/1. We really hope she will have found her forever home by then or at least a temporary other foster until she can come back to us. She is too old and too sweet to spend her days at the shelter. We know there is someone out there who needs this wonderful companion. If not able to adopt let us know if you could foster her 4/1-4/7 and 4/20-5/12.***Due to Opawra's age, we don't think that she would do well in a home with small children, but older children who know how to behave around dogs would be just fine. She is SUPER housebroken, walks VERY well on a leash and she would be the perfect companion for someone looking for a calm, but active older pup. She could do fine in an apartment, townhome or a house; she isn't picky!***

Hello there, I'm Alexis. I've got a heart as big as a park and a spirit as sweet as honey. Life here is okay, but I dream of a place where I can stretch my legs and chase my tail to my heart's content. I'm a pro at fetch, and I've got the best nose for sniffing out hidden treats. I promise to be your loyal companion, always by your side. I love cuddles and belly rubs. I'm patient, I'm kind, and I'm ready to give all my love to a family. So, why should you adopt me? Because I'm Alexis, and I believe in second chances and new beginnings. I promise to make every day brighter with my sweetness and love.

Story
Having to give away my previous animal which was very hard for me to do I kind of got lonely and wanted best friend animal. So a military family who was getting ready to relocate to Germany posted a ad in the Virginian-Pilot about free dog getting ready to move overseas not able to take dog so free dog best friend lonely met Bella and I instantly fell in love but now with my work schedule being chaotic and my wife just had a new baby we have to keep Bella in a crate so that way we don't have any accidents or hiccups with the baby or my wife. The one thing I will say about Bella is that she's very protective as the alpha female she protects her territory and protects what is hers when she's outside she loves to run she just loved being outside. But like I said with me and my wife working she has to stay in a cage and it's not fair to her to be in xxxx@xxxx.x I'm looking for someone who is willing to spend time with Bella take her own Adventures on walks let her know that she is loved

THIS IS A COURTESY POST***Lexi is not an Animal Aid dog. Please contact her owner with questions/to schedule a meeting: lexidog16@yahoo.comLexi is a sweet 8 year old black lab mix. She enjoys walks, snuggles, and treats. She has been with the same owners since she was 7 weeks old. Lexi is currently looking for a new home that does not have young children or other pets, as they make her anxious.Lexi is a sweet girl who enjoys her space away from young kids. She has taken beautifully to training. Part of that training is to help her politely avoid and ignore kids when she is uncomfortable around them (which is usually the case). She knows how to be a good girl around dogs and pets, but she would do best if she did not have to live with them. Please email lexidog16@yahoo.com for more information or to schedule a meeting.

Her family was moving and she couldn't go. Even though she had been with them since she was a puppy, her life with them was over. So, on to bigger and better things we go. We so hope this next chapter is her forever chapter - filled with lots of adventure and love.Mocha is a lab/Great Pyrenees mix - she is two-years-old, spayed and healthy. Now we are looking for her to be happy and healthy. And we need your help.Mocha has already been with us for 53 days. When she first came to us, she was very aloof and most people made her nervous. She was recently moved to a different section, where she could be around more dogs and see more people, and her world is opening up quickly. And she loves it!We see her relaxing more and loving even bigger. Mocha wants to be included now and she wants to be a part of all things fun! Stress can build quickly for dogs in a shelter and we want Mocha to avoid that. Please SHARE Mocha's story so that she can see that there is a family somewhere that will include her always and keep her forever. We haven't even mentioned how adorable Mocha is but it goes without saying - just look at her!Mocha and her friends are available to meet every day from 9am-12pm - come brighten your day!Interested? Come for a visit any day of the week - 365 days a year between 9am - 12pm. Hope to see you soon!PLEASE NOTE: Animal Aid Society observes a 40 mile adoption radius to facilitate post adoption support and follow ups.

Story
This is Captain! A lab/pit mix. He was recently rescued from living in a crate full time and brought into our home to help him socialize with other dogs and become house trained outside the crate. He is in need of someone who can give him the attention he deserves. We would love to keep him but about 2 weeks after bringing him home we found out we were pregnant. He’s ok around children, but we are not sure how he will do with an infant. He does not know how big he is, but he is kind.

Story
Meet Zuri! Our beautiful little girl that is mixed with all sorts of gorgeous dog elements that include most probably Border Collie/Husky mix.  This crystal blue eyed girl has waited a long time to have her chance to be offered for adoption.  You see she was part of a cruelty case back in October and was severely malnourished and was pregnant with babies.  All her pretty babies have been adopted but poor Zuri was left behind.  She was taken from the small TN shelter last month to decompress and learn some home/family life.  She is ready now for a wonderful new family to call her own .  This girl is a mature and settled 3-4 years old, spayed, UTD on vaccinations, HW- and ready for the good life with a family that will love and cherish her forever. Her beautiful blue eyes and open personality will make you love her instantly.  This girl loves to run and play in the yard with other dogs and absolutely loves the water! She does good as your passenger in the car for pup cup runs and would do good in a home with older, dog savvy children that are 10 years and above. She is still learning not to pull on her leash and is doing very good at her sit command. Zuri just wants her chance to prove that she’s a great family member and cuddle up with you at night!  If you are interested in this housebroken, crate trained, pretty girl that deserves the best life from her on out…please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com     PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 19, 2024, 8:06 am

Story
Luna is a beautiful young Lab mix girl who has endured a very unstable start to her life that has left her shy and unsure of herself at just 5-6 months of age.  This 25 pound girl is precious in body and soul and craves a confident hand to show her how to enjoy the world around her with joy and delight.   She is so pretty and actually her ears stand up when she is not being shy for the camera.  This sweet girl lived in a single bedroom of a disabled man for months and finally Critter Cavalry Rescue was able to secure a foster home for her to leave and get the great foster home that could work with her to build her self-esteem.  She rides well in a car and walks nicely on a leash.  She is wonderful with cats, other dogs and shyly accepts attention from strangers.   She will be a new girl in a short time of living with a competent and capable foster mom and family.   She would be wonderful with children too!  We envision this girl going to live with someone that has another confident, mature dog and who can take her on walking adventures and playful times in a fenced backyard.  Luna will be a top weight of 45 pounds when fully grown.   She has all the good stuff in her heart and soul and personality to be one of the move loving dogs you could ever adopt into your home.  If you are interested please write to us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 19, 2024, 8:06 am

Story
Nina is a little girl who was born around Mid-May and the family who had their dog give birth, moved away from their country rental and left 10 puppies behind with no plan for food or water…..just an outdoor pen.  After several months of a neighbor feeding them, Critter Cavalry Rescue was called in to help take them from the pen and give them a chance to find homes.  This girl survived months of abandonment and starvation and has emerged with a few social hesitancies and insecurities, yet a smart mind and loving soul.  She is crate trained, housebroken, wonderful with children that are young, other dogs and also cats.  She is a champ when it comes to being there for you but socially skittish when there are loud noises, sudden movements from outside and thunderstorms.  Nina is coming in to a place that she is showing confidence and not scared of certain things.  She will get there soon, but will need someone that doesn’t require her to be perfect.  She truly is perfect in so many ways despite her really challenging early months as a litter that was abandoned.  Nine is a lab/Pit mix that is beautiful and 44 pounds and a full weight as an adult.   She is very sweet and loving and good with children,  dogs, but NO CATS…..she loves to chase.    She is housebroken and she is crate trained and is a true outdoor girl. She loves to sunbath on the back patio and she welcomes the opportunity to meet new people.  She is pretty good on a leash and good on car rides and great recall that usually works for her.  She is a companion puppy.  She is a Lab/Pit mix and has the heart and soul of a Golden Retriever.   If you are interested in giving this homeless girl a new life and family, please email ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 19, 2024, 8:06 am

Oreo is in FOSTER at this time! Let's read all about her:Hi, My name is Oreo, but my foster mom calls me Oopsie. I am a big lovable, silly girl. I love to go for walks and then I love a good nap. Snuggles are my absolute favorite! I'm looking for a home with lots of patience and love. I would like to be the only dog or maybe have just one other dog in my family. Some things to note.....Oreo will find any weakness in your fence. She is easy to catch and will come right to you when you find her. Especially if you have "cookies"She jumps over baby gates with ease. She is crate trained. Her leash skills have improved but she will still pull when excited. She loves to chew and sometimes needs to be redirected to her toys. She is food motivated and responds well to positive reinforcement and training. She is an attention seeker and does get jealous when the other dog gets attention. She is a lovable goof. Hi there, I'm Oreo! I'm a young, sweet, and friendly girl with a goofy and gentle side. I'm known to make everyone laugh with my funny antics. I'm full of energy, always ready to play and explore. I'm loyal to a fault and I love cuddling, it's my favorite thing! I'm a heavy chewer, so get ready for some fun-filled playtimes. Despite my energetic nature, I'm also quite gentle and I love nothing more than a good cuddle session. I'm looking for a forever home where I can share my love and loyalty. If you're looking for a playful, energetic, and loyal companion, then I'm the one for you!
