Story
Meet Daisy! This 3-month-old Lab mix was pulled from a Texas shelter and is now settling into Wisconsin. Daisy is a typical, playful puppy with a sweet and social nature. She’s great with other dogs, children, and ready to be your new best friend. Cats are still a question mark, but Daisy is open to learning! Apply today! www.HBWI.org/adopt FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping. For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.

Story
George is an 11-month old, 65lb mixed breed. He wears his heart on his sleeve with big goofy emotions - he loves toys, he insists he's a lap dog, he's good with other dogs and he is just overall the very best boy. George is a loyal confidant and protector. He will follow you around the house and lay at your feet. He exudes quiet confidence and does not bark unless he is alerting you to something out of the ordinary. He walks nicely on leash. George isn't aware of his size or strength and he barrels through life so he's best matched with older kids or adults until he matures and is less rambunctious. He's house trained and quiet as a mouse in his crate. He is curious but respectful of dog savvy cats. Rey of Hope Rescue is a locally based dog & cat rescue in Milwaukee serving all of SE Wisconsin. We are passionate about helping you find the best pet match for your home. WI License # DS-536355

Cheese is a 4-month-old, lab/beagle mix, estimated to be ~45-50lbs, We call her Cheese Louise. Such a cutie, so smart, full of spunk & sass. She’s great about letting us know when she has to go out. Great in her kennel during the day when we’re gone as well as overnight. Very high energy but also such a snuggle bug by the end of the day. Great with other dogs and kids of all ages. Unique trait- her spots on her ear look like a little puppy faceMiss Cheese loves snacking on bananas 🤣 on a lick map all mashed or frozen or room temp.DATCP#483538

Story
Olive is a 4-month-old, 15 lbs., lab/beagle mix, loves all humans she has encountered. At first a bit shy but then gets so excited to know you. Olive is the sweetest playful pup! Adores cuddling, chew toys & exploring outside. Working on potty training. Taking her out every few hrs. is a good pattern. Loves treats as a reward. Very smart this one. Also working on her "sit" & "paw" commands. Loves being near people, cuddling, naps, & sleeps amazingly well through the night. The crate isn't her favorite place & understandably so. Why be alone when humans are so lovable? All in all, no one is nicer & sweeter than Olive. She is the perfect angel if you want kisses, hugs, & endless canine love 24/7. DATCP#483538

It's so lucky he was discovered and got medical care when he did!  He's doing wonderfully in his foster home, with both dogs and humans. At events he meets children and has done so well with all of them as well! He loves ice, water, food and toys.  Overall- he's a fun, active, sweet boy. He's high energy, so he loves having a buddy to play with and going on walks. He loves to snuggle his humans, especially while he catches a quick nap. He's a quick learner too- he knows sit, shake and come. We're working on lay down. He has really great recall and goes by the door to ask to go potty. He even goes right in his crate when it's bed time. Bubba has been waiting for someone to realize how special he is! This handsome guy deserves a furever home. Could your home be the right fit for Bubba? Adoption Fee: $350We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. March 21, 2025, 4:43 pm
