Story
𝑴𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑴𝒖𝒕𝒕: CLEO (AKA Karen, but her foster mom thinks she looks like an egyptian dog and calls her Cleo) She arrived to Cedarburg, Wisconsin on Friday, January 10th and is doing amazing in her new foster home. She is a super affectionate and loving girl. She is now fully potty training and walks great on the leash. She just wants to please and make her humans happy! She loves other dogs and gets along with everyone. She would do best with older kids! she has not always had it easy. She was brought to the kill shelter in Georgia as part of a neglect seizure case where her and the other dogs living there were chained up outside with logging chains. She was severely neglected and did not know kindness from humans, but has come a long way! Despite it all, she is a super sweet and friendly girl. She would be great as a family dog! —--------------------------- Thank you for considering adopting from Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin. We are a foster-based rescue in South Eastern Wisconsin. We partner with several high-kill shelters in rural Georgia to support dogs in desperate need of help. Our mission is to give these animals a second chance at life and the loving families they deserve. By rescuing them from shelters, we not only save their lives but also open up space for other animals in need, helping to reduce the heartbreaking number of pets that face euthanasia. Together, we can make a difference in their lives and offer them hope for a brighter future. All dogs come with a certified vet inspection, up-to-date vaccines, flea/tick, and heart-worm preventatives. We cover partial reimbursement for spay/neuter costs if they have not already been fixed. Here is a summary of our adoption process: 1. Apply: Fill out the adoption application on our website completely and submit all necessary documents. 2. Application processing: we do a thorough background check, landlord approval (if applicable) or home ownership verification, vet check, and review your application. This process can take up to 5 business days. 3. Please authorize your vet to release medical information with Mutt Life. 4. Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 5. Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! Hi there! My name is Rio, and I’m part of the Travel Litter. There were 10 of us, and now only 2 are left looking for our forever homes! We were surrendered to a kill shelter in Georgia as an unwanted litter, but thankfully, we made the journey up with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on 1/10/25 and are now safe in Wisconsin. I’m a super friendly, smart, and playful pup with loads of cuteness to share! I look like a yellow lab mix, and I have a little bend at the tip of my tail, just like one of my brothers – the vet thinks we were born with it! I’m currently being fostered on a 100-acre farm, and I get along wonderfully with all the animals here—chickens, big dogs, puppies, cats—you name it, I’m good with it! I am a barn and chore supervisor in training and would do great on a farm, or in a regular home- either way, I have had lots of desensitizing! I am off leash and love to play with the other dogs here. I also love toys and bones and cuddling on the couch with my humans! If you’re looking for a friendly and playful pup to add to your family, I could be the perfect fit! __________ Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up to date dewormer,  vaccinations, heart worm prevention (age appropriate) and certified veterinarian inspection within 30 days of adoption.  __________ Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! https://www.muttlife.org/adoption-policies _________ ADOPTION PROCESS: 1.) Hi there! My name is London, and I'm one of the lucky pups from the "Travel Litter." There were 10 of us in total, and now only 2 are left looking for our forever homes! We were originally surrendered to a kill shelter in Georgia as an unwanted litter, but thankfully, Mutt Life Dog Rescue rescued me and brought me up to Wisconsin. I’m currently being fostered in Watertown, WI, on a farm, and I’m absolutely thriving! I get along with chickens, other dogs, puppies, cats—you name it! I’m off-leash trained and nearly fully potty trained too. I’m a super playful and cute pup with a fantastic temperament. At our last meet-and-greet, I did wonderfully with all the other dogs and people. I’m just a happy, silly puppy who’s ready to find a forever home where I can share all my love and joy! Meet Sawyer! Sawyer and his siblings were found abandoned on the side of the road in Georgia and brought to a local shelter. He arrived in Wisconsin on 2/15/25 and has been doing wonderfully in his foster home. He’s the last of his litter still waiting for his forever family! Despite his rough beginning, Sawyer is a resilient pup full of joy and hope. He’s friendly, playful, and full of personality—everything you’d expect from a fun-loving puppy! He appears to be a Labrador mix with the most beautiful dark chocolate coat. Sawyer is thriving in his foster home, where he gets along with kids, cats, other dogs, and even chickens! He loves playing with the kids and snuggling up for naps after a busy day. He is off leash and does well walking on the leash too. He is learning potty training and crate training. He has a heart of gold and a personality that’s impossible not to love. Now, this sweet boy is ready for a forever home where he can continue to grow, thrive, and bring joy to his new family. Story
Meet Rowan! Rowan recently made the journey from a high-kill shelter in Georgia to Cedarburg, WI, with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on 2/15/25, and he’s doing wonderfully in his foster home. Rowan was found alone on 12/26/25 at the end of an old service road in rural Georgia, where it’s likely he was abandoned. Animal control brought him to the local shelter, and he spent nearly two months there before making his way to Wisconsin. At about 8 years old, Rowan is a sweet, friendly guy with a calm, observant nature. When he first arrived at the shelter, his constant eye contact was misinterpreted as a sign of defensiveness, but in reality, Rowan was simply looking for direction. He’s a smart, experienced dog who likes to take everything in and is always paying attention. He gets along with everyone he meets—both humans and dogs—and has a laid-back vibe but also enjoys playing and being a little goofy. Rowan is potty trained, crate trained (though he doesn’t really need a crate), and walks beautifully on a leash. His foster mom in Wisconsin can’t say enough good things about him and has told us he’s simply the best dog she’s ever met. Now, Rowan is hoping to find a forever home where he can relax, feel safe, and experience true love for the first time. He truly deserves a family who will show him the care and affection he’s been waiting for. Could Rowan be the perfect addition to your family? He’s ready to give all the love in his heart to the right person! __________ Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up to date dewormer,  vaccinations, heart worm prevention (age appropriate) and certified veterinarian inspection within 30 days of adoption.  __________ Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! https://www.muttlife.org/adoption-policies _________ ADOPTION PROCESS: 1.) There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. March 14, 2025, 8:54 pm

Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!To sponsor my trip to WI, go to  www.tailwaggers911.com  for more info! ***I am able to go home to my forever family right off of transport! You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!*** Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on March 28th and arrive on March 29th, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever and I am worried. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! Updated: 3/2/2025 Dog Name: Duke Sex: Male Estimated Breed: Lab mix Approximate DOB: 1/12/25 Approximate Weight: 5 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Not yet neutered (too young) Description: Duke was the last puppy of an unwanted litter being given away in a parking lot in Texas. Our Texas rescue partners happened to be driving by and were able to save him from an uncertain fate. This boy is so sweet! Duke has a beautiful coat and even more beautiful eyes! He loves everyone he has met and we vow to give him a wonderful life! Apply for this boy quickly, he won’t last long!  Adoption Fee: $550We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. Story
Meet Daisy! This 3-month-old Lab mix was pulled from a Texas shelter and is now settling into Wisconsin. Daisy is a typical, playful puppy with a sweet and social nature. She’s great with other dogs, children, and ready to be your new best friend. Cats are still a question mark, but Daisy is open to learning! Apply today! www.HBWI.org/adopt FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping. For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.
