Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi, my name is Calvin and I spent my early years not in any sort of inside, family-style living so this is all new to me.  So forgive me if I am a little skittish or nervous occasionally.  Especially when we first meet.  I do the same thing when outside of the environment I’ve grown accustomed to but I’m working on that and would do best with a home that will be patient and understanding.  I admit, I’ve growled at people when my stress level is over the top for me but I haven’t ever snapped or bitten anyone. But for now, maybe a home without small kids would be better as commotion, loud noises and men seem to make me more tense. I don’t have too much desire to play right now as I’m still trying to get accustomed to life in a loving environment.  I’m low key but I ventured out a bit this week and actually played with a toy!  Hold your applause! I don’t really have a fur bestie so I can be an only pet if you’re home most of the day.  Why, you ask?? Well, I tend to have lots of conversation with people and like to voice my complaints to the peanut gallery often (bark bark).  I am crate trained but that darn potty thing is a bit trickier.  However, when you keep me on a good schedule, I feel I’m close to making it happen! I don’t require a fenced yard either, as I’m working on my leash skills.  Granted, it’s got more work to be had but we can do it!  I have put my noodles together and with lots of practice, I know “sit, come, kennel, outside and go potty!” I’m food motivated which is why my noodles are functional. I’m a 1-year-old Maltipoo, weighing in at just 7 pounds of fluff and potential. I’ve had a bit of a rough start and can be very scared of people and very skittish, but with patience, kindness, and time, I know I can learn to trust and blossom in the right home. Here’s what you should know about me: I’m happiest when I’m with other dogs, especially my confident furry friends who help me feel safe and teach me the ropes. I love wrestling with them, basking in the sun, and playing with my soft, stuffed toys. While I’m not big on most treats, I do have a weakness for homemade dehydrated beef liver—yum! I’m working really hard on trusting humans, but don’t really like to be touched right now. My foster parent has been helping me learn with gentle cuddle sessions, and I’m slowly making progress. I’m even starting to approach for play and hold their fingers in my mouth—though I still get scared if things move too fast. I do enjoy quiet, early morning tummy rubs, so there’s hope for more snuggles in the future! Potty training and leash training are still a work in progress for me, so I’ll need a secure, fenced yard in my forever home. I’m also a bit of an escape artist, so doors and gates will need to stay closed tight! At night, I’ve figured out my routine—I sleep best in a crate on the bed with the door open, where I can snuggle up near my favorite doggy friend. It makes me feel safe and calm. Hi my name is Biscuits and from what I hear my foster mom telling everyone she meets I am a GOOD boy :) I love everyone I meet, men, women, kids, other dogs big and small! I havent meet a cat yet but my foster mom thinks I might have a little to much interest in them. So either no cats or a cat thats smarter than me.... good luck finding that! Right now there are other dogs about the same size as me in my foster home and I LOVE to play Wrestle Mania with them! I am house trained and do all my business outside like the good boy I am. My foster mom said I do have to tell you my ONE "flaw" and that is that I HATE the kennel. She thinks I am a little over dramatic when she has put me in it and I quote "Dude you didnt loose a paw you can calm down". But I have proven to her that I do just fine with no kennel. I love to be with my people whenever I can and if you sit down I call dibs on your lap! I walk okay on a leash but there is always room for improvement I am told. These chilly winter days are not my favorite but once I get my snazzy sweater on I am ready to take on the day and tackle those toys that need to be played with. Its a hard job but someone needs to do it! I would LOVE to find a family of my own and if you think that might be you and your family fill out an application so we can meet!
