Story
Gordy is a 5 year old, 25lbs Havanese/Maltese/Terrier Mix from Mexico!
He has adjusted very well during his time in the busy streets of New York City. Gordy enjoys his daily walks, playing with other dogs, and cuddling. Gordy already knows “sit” and is working on other obedience training. During his time with his foster family, Gordy is housetrained and goes to the bathroom outside routinely in the morning and evening on his walks.
While Gordy is good on a leash, he is still working on not pulling when he gets excited! Gordy is an adorable, happy, and good tempered pup. His forever family will need to continue working with Gordy to reinforce and advance the progress he's been making. Gordy has done well in his crate during the day (up to 8 hours) and has not had any accidents when home alone while his foster family is at work.
He loves to be cozy with his foster family and can often be found with his favorite chew stick. Gordy is looking for a medium to active family, as he loves to walk, run, and play. He appreciates downtime to nap near his foster family, and active moments to play fetch with his tennis ball. He would be great as a solo dog, or with another dog or pet at home. We would recommend Gordy go to a home with or without children, as he is friendly with everyone!
Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, bordetella, and Lepto. Spayed, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
