Story
This boy was part of a neglect/ hoarding case. He is very friendly… with everything! He likes people, kids, either dogs…..not sure on cats but we’re sure he would do well. He has a wonderful personality, he does not need to be in charge. He does well with other dogs and is good on a leash. He loved everyone at an adoption event, he does not meet a stranger!! He is a super good boy who is ready to finally find a home of his own. He will need housetraining but we think he does have some training already. He listens well, just needs some work on manners. He does jump when excited so beware smaller kids. He would do well with a yard or plenty of exercise. An active family would be best as he does not like to sit still when around people, he’s just too excited and happy. He is ready to find his own energetic family.

Story
Never underestimate the power of the love a mother has for her babies. Darling Darla was rescued from under a trailer where she was keeping her babies safe. Although she was underweight and had gone through so much, her demeanor remains sweet. Her mother duties are behind her, and she is ready for her happily ever after. Darla is a 2-year-old brindle short haired Plott Hound mix. Darla is at her full-grown weight of 40 pounds, making her a medium size dog.Darla enjoys the company of children and other dogs. She is bit to curious and rambunctious in the company of cats so she will require a home without them. It is important to remember that hound mixes can be curious pups, keeping Darla on a leash or in a fenced in yard will help Darla from going on an unsupervised adventure. Our miss Darla is a low energy gal that will do will in a leisurely lifestyle of hanging out with her family but will have plenty of pep when it comes to daily walks and perhaps strolls in the park. Darla is proud to let you know she is house, and crate trained. Although Darla is housetrained, please keep in mind that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Her leash training is in progress, and she would benefit from lots of practice so she can be the best leash walker in town.If you are ready to make her dream, come true and live a life full of love, then Darla is eager to meet you!The adoption fee for Darla is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours.
