Tigger is the name and I do NOT bounce on my tail but honestly, my tail is LONG enough to accomodate me :) I was found with my friend, Honey, left on a country road alone and scared we were. A towel, bowl of water and some food were left for us but we were still out on a country road with NO HOPE!! Welcome Zeus to CCPAL Foster Program. Zeus is a 18-month old 70 pound Plot Hound/Medium Terrier blend dog. He was abandonded by his owners when they moved and left him at the house they moved from. He was tied up to the porch. Good Samaritans spotted him and were feeding him and giving him water until they realized the owners weren’t coming back. Zeus is now in foster home waiting for his new forever home. He is great on a leash and not leash reactive. He is good in a crate and he likes car rides. He is attentive, smart and potty trained. He is overall a wonderful dog and is not food aggressive or reactive with his bowl. He would make a wonderful outdoor enthusiast a great companion. He would make a perfect man dog. He looks tough but he is not at all how he looks. He would make a great family dog if the man works out of the house. His looks would make the family feel secure even if he loves everyone. He is a lower shedding dog with a nice soft coat. He is healthy, vaccinated and neutered. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. Bruce is a fabulous example of a forgiving and loving dog that was abandoned and found himself on the streets of a small town in Tennessee. He had nowhere to go and some kind people took him in to hold him safely while Critter Cavalry Rescue takes time to find him the best home ever. He is a Plott hound/Pit mix from what we can see in his markings and his stature. He is 2 years old and 65 pounds and he is one special dog that is so handsome and is truly a gentle giant! This boy has everything going for him with great house manners and housebroken as well. He crate trained and is living in a foster home in an apartment. He is a medium energy young man that gets along well with the other dog in his foster home. He loves play time outside, as well as being a snuggly couch potato. Bruce is learning to walk on leash and will need daily practice to stop pulling. He loves to ride in a car, likes carrots and ice cubes. When at home he loves to look out the window and will do that for hours. Recently he spent some time boarding and was a favorite with the staff and he demonstrated an ability to be very sweet and easy with some of the children of the staff members. The only NO about Bruce is that he is not fond of cats, so no feline siblings. He would probably do best with another gentle, playful dog of his same size. He would be fine being the only dog and always center of attention, too! Older children over 7 years of age might be best, but only because of his size.
