Andy is still on search of his forever home. He is now 4 and half months old and approximately 35 pounds. He is now almost fully potty trained (there is the rare accident) and even goes to the door and rings the bell to ask to be let out. He is also getting better and better each day walking on the leash. Andy has learned commands such as heel, sit, stay and we have started lay down. He continues to enjoy his daily snuggles and is very unaware of his increasing size as he sits on you like he is a baby. I have no doubt he will be a very loyal companion. Vaughn is our longest term pup -  an introverted extrovert that came to us almost three years ago in VERY rough shape.  When he arrived he was skin and bones and terrified of the world.  He would guard his food from other dogs and wouldn't let strangers approach him.  With a lot of patience and work - this boy has made a complete turnaround!   Vaughn is still a little shy with strangers, but after a quick sniff and a treat he's your best friend.  In the home, this 70 pound pup thinks he's a lap dog and is always trying to curl up next to you.  He currently lives with multiple small dogs and is doing very well - but will definitely chase a cat if given the opportunity (that's the hound in him).   He loves to play with other dogs...  but prefers calmer personalities that won't try to bully him.  Vaughn is sweet and playful with the reserved disposition that middle age brings.  A pup that LOVES his walks, but only half as much as he loves his naps.   He's got a smidge of cattle dog in him as well and tends to be a bit mouthier and will herd his friends when he plays so an adult only home or a home with kids over 12 would be ideal.   If you think our little wallflower sounds like the dog for you, please contact his trainer (Kseniya) today at 847.338.3252 or info@redemptionroadinc.org  to schedule your private meet and greet. I came into this world in February, right in the middle of a chilly San Antonio winter when the temps were plummeting, and life was tough for many. But fate smiled upon me, and a kind-hearted man and his family came to my rescue, sparing me from the freezing cold. I'll be honest; I'm a sensitive soul. Loud voices and sudden noises tend to rattle me, but let me tell you, once I've warmed up to you, I'm a different dog entirely. I'll shower you with kisses and share my whole heart. You see, I'm not just pretty on the outside; I'm smart and gentle, too. What I need most is a patient family willing to give me the time and space to settle into my new home. Trust me; I have so much love to give. In my foster home, they've discovered a side of me that shines when I play with their Big Great Pyrenees. We're like a couple of kids, playing hide and seek, and chasing each other around. I'm also a sunbather at heart, so outdoor lounging in the sun is a favorite pastime of mine. Now, here's the thing: I'm not a fan of long car rides, and I can get a little nervous. But if you speak to me gently and reassure me, I'll find my courage. Leash walks can be a bit tricky too, but with your patience and encouragement, I'm willing to give it a try. In the evenings, I like to cozy up in bed with my humans, though I don't demand it. I just love to be near the ones who care for me. I'm on the lookout for a forever home, a place where I'll be cherished and appreciated just as much as I have been in my foster family.
