ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13732Hi!My name is Mama and came up to Maryland on the 7/12 OPH transport. I’m guessed to be a Plott Hound/Lab mixed breed dog. I am a 3 years old and weigh about 51 lbs. I am a very sweet, low key girl. I have been an excellent house guest:***I sleep all nite in my crate and wait quietly until my family wakes up. I also will hang out in my crate during the day to nap. ***I haven’t had any “accidents” in the house and let my fosters know when I need to go out. ***I have not jumped up on the furniture or beds.***I know sit command. I’m a smart cookie and could certainly learn more.I really enjoy going on walks and hanging out outside. I get along well with my foster brother and have started playing with his toys. I almost forget - the pets - I love all the pets- head rubs, belly rubs , ear scratches- ❤️ them all!If you are looking for a well behaved, easy going dog, then I’m your girl. I can't wait to get to my forever home! Is that with you? Apply to adopt me today! This cuteness won’t be available for long!

Story
Mooka was a street pup until 9 months old and we've had her since February. We telework so she usually roams the house but when left alone she sleeps and chews toys. She wiggles, wags her tail and sometimes jumps on people when meeting a new person (we're working on getting her to not jump). At her old home she interacted with the cat and it was perfectly fine. For commands, she knows "here!" and "sit." She can be found napping, snuggling, or playing fetch with her toys. She is great with our toddler. Vet says she has a torn ACL so we are limiting exercise right now to shorter than five minutes walk on a leash and no running around in the yard unfortunately. Vet recommended surgery but she doesn't limp unless we walk her for more than 15 min. It's unclear how to proceed, plus I just diagnosed with a health condition that makes it harder to care for her. We hope to find Mookie a home with the care she deserves.

Story
Meet Smokey, a charming two-year-old Plott Hound with a heart full of love and a nose for adventure. According to his previous owner, Smokey is a purebred Plott Hound, and his striking brindle coat and soft, floppy ears certainly speak to his hound heritage.Smokey found his way to our rescue partner after repeatedly running loose and, eventually, his previous owners did not reclaim him. Despite his past, Smokey remains an incredibly sweet pup with a personality that shines. True to his hound nature, he’s full of energy and curiosity, but with an extra dose of affection that makes him irresistible. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion with the sweetest temperament and a zest for life, Smokey is ready to join your family. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: acskc.org/adoption/adoption-applicationOnce your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet! We welcome adopters from out of state to apply! _When it comes to our pets, we're all-inclusive! Story
Bruce is a fabulous example of a forgiving and loving dog that was abandoned and found himself on the streets of a small town in Tennessee.  He had nowhere to go and some kind people took him in to hold him safely while Critter Cavalry Rescue takes time to find him the best home ever.   He is a Plott hound/Pit mix from what we can see in his markings and his stature.  He is 2 years old and 65 pounds and he is one special dog that is so handsome and is truly a gentle giant!  This boy has everything going for him with great house manners and housebroken as well.  He crate trained and is living in a foster home in an apartment.  He is a medium energy young man that gets along well with the other dog in his foster home.  He loves play time outside, as well as being a snuggly couch potato. Bruce is learning to walk on leash and will need daily practice to stop pulling. He loves to ride in a car, likes carrots and ice cubes. When at home he loves to look out the window and will do that for hours.  Recently he spent some time boarding and was a favorite with the staff and he demonstrated an ability to be very sweet and easy with some of the children of the staff members.  The only NO about Bruce is that he is not fond of cats, so no feline siblings.  He would probably do best with another gentle, playful dog of his same size.  He would be fine being the only dog and always center of attention, too!  Older children over 7 years of age might be best, but only because of his size.  If you are looking for a best friend and/or family member to run, hike, play, explore, and then curl up for some couch time, Bruce is your guy!  He is so beautiful and regal.  He looks around like he is surveying his kingdom and hoping that all is well.  You could really make his life a happy ending if you could consider adopting Bruce.  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and ask all the questions that you need and also ask for an adoption form. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 14, 2024, 9:01 pm
