Despite his past, Smokey remains an incredibly sweet pup with a personality that shines. Hello, my name is Ritchley! I came to the shelter as a stray, and no one came for me so I am now looking for my furever home. I tend to be a little nervous at first, especially with loud and unfamiliar noises of the city. I just need some reassurance and TLC to learn that I am okay. Since I do spook easily, it would be best that any kids in the home are 8 and older who can respect my boundaries. I may do well with cats with proper introduction, but I haven't met one before. I do need to be the only dog in the home though. I am also able to jump fences, so please consider keeping me leashed/tethered or never unsupervised. I do have a big heart and plenty of love and companionship to share if you'll give me a chance.---If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared --bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. This boy was part of a neglect/ hoarding case. He is very friendly… with everything! He likes people, kids, either dogs…..not sure on cats but we’re sure he would do well. He has a wonderful personality, he does not need to be in charge. He does well with other dogs and is good on a leash. He loved everyone at an adoption event, he does not meet a stranger!! He is a super good boy who is ready to finally find a home of his own. He will need housetraining but we think he does have some training already. He listens well, just needs some work on manners. He does jump when excited so beware smaller kids. He would do well with a yard or plenty of exercise. An active family would be best as he does not like to sit still when around people, he’s just too excited and happy. He is ready to find his own energetic family.

For his well-behaved demeanor, cute puppy face, playfulness, and getting along with other dogs he'd be given a roof, a nice cold dish of water, meals and treats everyday, plus tons of love. It was a good deal! Pacino comes from a long line of Dog-Father's, tough dogs out in the world who's business is their own. But, they are loyal, loving and strong characters to have around you. Pacino is potty and crate trainee; and a sociable happy dog! He does like to chew on things and should be kept away from shoes, tables and what not. Pacino would pair better with older kids.
