I am about 3 years old and weigh about 51 lbs. I am a very sweet, low key girl. I have been an excellent house guest:***I sleep all nite in my crate and wait quietly until my family wakes up. I also will hang out in my crate during the day to nap. ***I haven’t had any “accidents” in the house and let my fosters know when I need to go out. ***I am learning to walk nicely on the leash.***I know sit command. I’m a smart cookie and could certainly learn more.I really enjoy going on walks and hanging out outside. I get along well with my foster brother and have started playing with his toys. I love head and belly scritches. If you are looking for an easy going dog, then I’m your girl. I can't wait to get to my forever home! Is that with you? Apply to adopt me today! Willie-Plott Hound X male, ~ 3 yr. (March 2023) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for application. Willie was found by Rescue volunteers in a high kill rural shelter. He's describes as a friendly, inquisitive young fellow, by the other volunteers and staff. Dog friendly. Willie's looking for a fresh start on life and will enjoy an active lifestyle. Sure to be a good walking or running partner. Hikes would be his idea of a great afternoon or weekend. His adoption fee is $300 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. Story
Bruce is a fabulous example of a forgiving and loving dog that was abandoned and found himself on the streets of a small town in Tennessee.  He had nowhere to go and some kind people took him in to hold him safely while Critter Cavalry Rescue takes time to find him the best home ever.   He is a Plott hound/Pit mix from what we can see in his markings and his stature.  He is 2 years old and 65 pounds and he is one special dog that is so handsome and is truly a gentle giant!  This boy has everything going for him with great house manners and housebroken as well.  He crate trained and is living in a foster home in an apartment.  He is a medium energy young man that gets along well with the other dog in his foster home.  He loves play time outside, as well as being a snuggly couch potato. Bruce is learning to walk on leash and will need daily practice to stop pulling. He loves to ride in a car, likes carrots and ice cubes. When at home he loves to look out the window and will do that for hours.  Recently he spent some time boarding and was a favorite with the staff and he demonstrated an ability to be very sweet and easy with some of the children of the staff members.  The only NO about Bruce is that he is not fond of cats, so no feline siblings.  He would probably do best with another gentle, playful dog of his same size.  He would be fine being the only dog and always center of attention, too!  Older children over 7 years of age might be best, but only because of his size.  If you are looking for a best friend and/or family member to run, hike, play, explore, and then curl up for some couch time, Bruce is your guy!  He is so beautiful and regal.  He looks around like he is surveying his kingdom and hoping that all is well.  You could really make his life a happy ending if you could consider adopting Bruce.  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and ask all the questions that you need and also ask for an adoption form. Hiya! I'm Colossus, your friendly neighborhood goofball. I'm young, sweet, and a bit shy, but boy, can I play! I ended up here in the shelter due to a hilarious mix-up. See, I was playing hide-and-seek with my human, and I hid in a 'found pet' van. I won the game, but I also won a trip to the shelter! I'm not complaining though, it's been a blast! This boy was part of a neglect/ hoarding case. He is very friendly… with everything! He likes people, kids, either dogs…..not sure on cats but we’re sure he would do well. He has a wonderful personality, he does not need to be in charge. He does well with other dogs and is good on a leash. He loved everyone at an adoption event, he does not meet a stranger!! He is a super good boy who is ready to finally find a home of his own. He will need housetraining but we think he does have some training already. He listens well, just needs some work on manners. He does jump when excited so beware smaller kids. He would do well with a yard or plenty of exercise. An active family would be best as he does not like to sit still when around people, he’s just too excited and happy. He is ready to find his own energetic family.
