Mister is a fun little squishy faced pup! He can be a bit shy at first, but he warms up quickly and makes friends fast. Mister will certainly be a great addition to a home! At this time, HSBV is requiring a home with older or no children.

Story
Hi. My name is Poppy, and I am a Pug/Chihuahua mix.  I am 14 months old, weigh about nine pounds and everyone says I am cute as a button and full of personality. I love to play, take walks, ride in the car, and snuggle. I have a lot of foster mutt siblings at my foster home. I like most of them, but one is really big. Foster mama says he weighs thirty pounds! She tells me he is very friendly, but I am not so sure of that, so I have to show him who’s boss. Foster mama says I can be protective of my favorite human around the other resident mutts. She says it's understandable because I didn't have the easiest past and so I want to make sure I keep tabs on the nice humans.  My best fit forever family or human would be a patient and loving adult or adults, maybe with another dog my size.  I like treats, lots of cuddles, and sleeping curled up with my human. I also like to go wherever my human is going. Sometimes I dash out the door in excitement, but I come back when mama calls. My new family will have to understand that I am just a little thing. The world can be scary, and I need to show how brave and fierce I am. (Mama says that is the Chihuahua in me.) If you're interested in adopting Poppy, please fill out an adoption application here: https://underdogsrescue.org/adopt-form/ Underdogs is a small volunteer-based animal rescue and we unfortunately do not have the resources to respond to phone and email inquires about our adoptable animals at this time. If you're interested in learning more or setting up a meeting with one of our animals, please complete an adoption application first. It may take up to two weeks for application review and one of our coordinators will reach out to you as soon as we are through the intitial review process. We appreciate your patience and understanding! Thank you! ##1943487##

Story
Smudge is just a spunky lil guy. He is a 3 year old pug. He loves to be close to you and play for hours. He is not much of a snuggler yet but Smudge is amazing in the crate at night and when we have to leave the house. When we get him out of the crate he does a ton of spins. He isn't heavily food motivated unless it's turkey slices but he grazes on his food throughout the day. We don't have other pets or children so were unsure of how he would do with those in the home. We have taken him to a child's birthday party & a brewery and he did well in both settings. If you have young children you would need to work on Smudge jumping up on them. He has done well with other dogs out in public. Come fall in love with Smudge! ##2139671##

Story
** If you are interested in adopting Dobby, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Meet Dobby! Dobby is a sweet little dog who was found himself in an overcrowded, high-kill shelter and showed that he is the sweetest boy. Dobby was found running around confused on the streets in New Mexico, before being picked up and put into the shelter. Someone also claimed that they witnessed a car pull into a dirt lot and set him outside of the car and drive away. It's so sad how horribly people treat animals. Despite all this sweet boy has been through, he LOVES affection and cuddles along with other dogs big and small. Dobby is believed to be a Pug / Chihuahua mix. He is 1 year old, and just 12 lbs. Dobby is a very happy, wiggly guy, and he’s ready to start his new life in Colorado. We envision Dobby with either an active, dog-crazy retired couple or individual, or younger family that works from a home. We feel that he is too social a guy to be left alone for the long hours of full-time employment outside of the home. Being a young and super-smart guy, Dobby will love physical exercise as well as mental stimulation. He would be a natural in positive reinforcement / force- free group obedience classes. These classes are so important in bonding as well as teaching a dog the skills (in a very positive way) to understand boundaries and commands. This creates a well-behaved partner out in the community. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved virtual and in-person force-free / positive reinforcement trainers in your area. Dobby has been fully vetted, and is up to date on his vaccines. He is not yet neutered, however Farfel’s covers the full cost of his neuter, which is required to finalize any adoption. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. If you are interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ . **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application.

Story
There's nothing quite like young dog energy and silliness...and then they put their beautiful heads quietly on your shoulder breathing their warm breath. These very loving and sweet as can be dogs are so pure and vulnerable that it's unbearable to think of them alone and hungry on city streets or in a high-kill shelter scheduled for euthanasia due to lack of space. Ella, at just about 10 months old and 12 lbs was facing the end of her life before it ever really began. Farfel's rescue partners are compassionate and loving and just couldn't turn their back on this gorgeous Pug with the great temperament. They rescued Ella just in time to spare her life. Ella is starting out with great energy! The excellent results of her temperament-testing ended with a transport ticket to Colorado and a brand new life. This little girl is also incredibly beautiful with gorgeous dark eyes displaying wisdom far beyond her years. Ella has the potential for a stunning and shining coat that is consistent with her breed. Her hair is currently shelter-sad but once on a regular protocol of care and nurturing, it will be cottony-soft and shining with good health. Ella will require a lifelong commitment to periodic sudsy baths, brushing and great nutrition (5 star food and a salmon oil supplement are excellent regimens for general longevity and hair care) to keep her coat super-healthy, shining and as soft as cotton. Ella is appropriately playful and inquisitive for her young age. She's also so loving and cuddly and would be very excited to be a couch or bed potato. She would happily snuggle with her favorite people at the end of an active day. We're open to Ella finding her forever home with an energetic retired couple or individual with the desire to train and enjoy a silly and super-smart pup. She also enjoys her relationships with all humans and dogs. We would prefer, however, to place her in a home with older kids (tail pulling or rough treatment will create a dog that's fearful of children). Older kids can also be active participants in a training regimen and friendship that's so important in a dog's development. She enjoys her relationships with other dogs as well and would love playing hard and then enjoying the sunshine together on a beautiful day. This sweet girl is at an almost perfect age..old enough to be past babyish behaviors and young enough to have many, many healthy and active years ahead. She' also a great size for enjoying the gorgeous paths of Colorado and then snuggling close all night long. Ella truly lights up when she feels like she's done a good job...some serious belly rubs and kind words will send her over the moon. Ella wants to be a people dog and with a bit of post-shelter confidence and love, she will be overjoyed that she's finally found her forever family. We are searching for a very loving and involved family for Ella. This sensitive pup wouldn't be happy being alone for the long hours of a full-time job outside of the home. A family that works from a home-based office (to love Ellie up periodically throughout the day) would be perfect for this wonderful companion. Active, dog-crazy retirees would also be an excellent match for this girl that has so much love to give as a full- time best friend. Ella doesn't require another dog to be happy. She loves her people dearly and if they're attentive and loving, this sweet and loyal girl will be fulfilled and very content. If a gentle dog is already part of a family, that's great with Ella as well. She enjoys her time spent in the company of a gentle canine and that dog will become Ella's best friend. Ella will do well with any loving guardian who's invested in spending time with their pup. She's so pleasant and portable that she can be a part of any adventure. It can be a leisurely walk socializing with neighbors, a picnic in the park or a visit with family or friends. A car ride is also always fun..especially if it leads to a dog-loving spot. At day's end, a spot on the bed all night beside her favorite humans will speak to the loving nature of this little dog. Ella will be up to date on her vetting/vaccinations and will be spayed to be in line with our commitment to adopting out only healthy dogs that won't contribute to the overpopulation crisis in the canine population. Ella will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Saturday 8/24/2024. Applications are currently being accepted for this very sweet and loyal best friend. An application can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Ella please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving puppy. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

Briggs is a great pug! He has been fantastic around our children and others. He loves to sit with anyone!!! He would do perfect with even a small yard to run. Our new apartment does not allow him that kind of activity space.
