Story
Oh, sweet Penny!  She is a bundle of love and fun wrapped in a tiny package.  He is about 11 weeks old (est bd 12.5.2024) and 6 pounds. Penny is a happy go lucky puppy.  When she isn't playing with toys or napping, we are working on her potty training.  She sleeps in her crate at night and is very food-motivated.  She loves other dogs and people and absolutely wants to be held, cuddled, and have a warm lap to nap on.  She would do best in a home with older kids and a very trustworthy doggo as she is tiny and is constantly jumping, running, and playing. She found her "voice" and is using it to get what she wants.  She sure loves her toys and balls.  She is going to keep her family giggling and on their toes with her puppy antics.  She seems very smart and loves to make eye contact with her humans.  (The typical rule for puppies is they should only be left only one hour per month (age). Please consider this when applying for Penny.) Her spay is scheduled for 3/10 she will be available after healing for a few days est 3/20 Her adoption fee is $375 Please submit an app at eapl.com February 28, 2025, 11:57 am

Teddy is a sweet, sassy little guy who will melt your heart with his silly antics. Teddy loves all things toys and is learning to play fetch. He also loves to snuggle with his people and play with the other dogs in his foster home. Teddy is progressing well with his potty training and uses a puppy pad. This little love bug will do great in any home with kids of any age. He is currently living with multiple sizes of dogs and does great. He has not been cat tested, but he doesn’t have a mean bone in his little body, so I’m sure he’d be fine. His adoption fee is $375 Put in an application at eapl.comMarch 9, 2025, 4:43 pm

Story
Hi. My name is Poppy, and I am a Pug/Chihuahua mix.  I am 14 months old, weigh about nine pounds and everyone says I am cute as a button and full of personality. I love to play, take walks, ride in the car, and snuggle. I have a lot of foster mutt siblings at my foster home. I like most of them, but one is really big. Foster mama says he weighs thirty pounds! She tells me he is very friendly, but I am not so sure of that, so I have to show him who’s boss. Foster mama says I can be protective of my favorite human around the other resident mutts. She says it's understandable because I didn't have the easiest past and so I want to make sure I keep tabs on the nice humans.  My best fit forever family or human would be a patient and loving adult or adults, maybe with another dog my size.  I like treats, lots of cuddles, and sleeping curled up with my human. I also like to go wherever my human is going. Sometimes I dash out the door in excitement, but I come back when mama calls. My new family will have to understand that I am just a little thing. The world can be scary, and I need to show how brave and fierce I am. (Mama says that is the Chihuahua in me.) If you're interested in adopting Poppy, please fill out an adoption application here: https://underdogsrescue.org/adopt-form/ Underdogs is a small volunteer-based animal rescue and we unfortunately do not have the resources to respond to phone and email inquires about our adoptable animals at this time. If you're interested in learning more or setting up a meeting with one of our animals, please complete an adoption application first. It may take up to two weeks for application review and one of our coordinators will reach out to you as soon as we are through the intitial review process. We appreciate your patience and understanding! Thank you! ##1943487##

Story
Togo is a 4MO Pug mix (we are guessing) weighing about 11lbs.  We are guessing he is going to be about 20-25lbs when full grown.  Togo was found in Kansas, abandoned with 2 other siblings in a field.  They were in a common dumping area so we know they were clearly dumped.  24 hours after finding the 3 pups we found another dog in the same area, who the shelter named Skade. We cannot say for sure, but we are guessing that Skade was their dad because they are all very similar in looks.  Togo and his two brothers, Finn and Moose are wonderful little pups.  They love to zoom around the fosters yard and rough house with each other - like all young pups.  They are very social and happy.  Togo would love to go to a home with another dog to play with and humans to snuggle and love.  He doesn't have to go a home with another dog as long as he gets good exercise and mental stimulation like all dogs do.  While we are guessing they are Pug mixes these cuties would still be great adventure buddies.  They will be the perfect size for adventures and for snuggly lap-dog days. If you are interested in adopting Togo or one of his siblings, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2300330##

Story
Savoring her second chance at life, sweet 8-year-old Snoopy has safely settled into her foster home. The 22-pound black and white beauty, so cute and so cuddly, LOVES snuggling with her foster mom, sitting on her lap, amusing her by walking around on two legs whenever she’s interested in something (like food), and sleeping under the covers at night. Always happy, always friendly, Snoopy gets along easily with the many children she’s met, calmly sitting by them, and is equally at ease with new people, warmly welcoming their affection. Still percolating with enthusiasm and energy, she also loves going for walks, honing her leash skills daily, playing with small toys and chewing on bones before taking some time to relax. Given that slow introductions suit Snoopy best when it comes to her canine companions, she occasionally plays with the resident puppy, is comfortable around the resident dog, and does well with cats that set boundaries. Fond of Kongs filled with peanut butter, and motivated by food, toys and love, she currently knows “come,” “sit” and “off,” and while she’s not a fan of her crate, she’s almost fully house-trained. Now all sweet Snoopy needs is an especially loving home that will continue her socialization with other dogs, complete her training, including her commands, and keep her in snuggles fur-ever. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $100. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls.PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
** If you are interested in adopting Ginger, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Meet Ginger, a 15-pound, 4 year old bundle of love who’s ready to find her forever home! She is believed to be a Pug / Chihuahua mix. Ginger was picked up as a stray in Texas during a cold spell, but despite her tough start, she remains as friendly and warm-hearted as can be. No one came to reclaim her, so now she’s on a journey to find a family that will cherish her forever. Ginger has the sweetest personality - she is gentle, loves to give kisses, even if she just met you, and is just so so sweet. Here is what her foster had to say about her: From foster: * * * * "Ginger is settling into the home beautifully and showing her sweet, loving personality! She’s a super cuddly girl who just wants to be close to her people—She is my little shadow, always following me from room to room. She’s also proving to be well-mannered, fully house-trained (only one accident so far on day 1!), and even knows some commands like “down” and has pretty good recall when not distracted. While she’s still a bit nervous on a leash, she absolutely loves running around the backyard, playing a bit of fetch, and getting the zoomies—it's adorable to watch! She’s also very comfortable in her crate and will go in on her own for naps. Ginger seems to have had some training and love in her past, and I think she was well loved at one point." * * * * This little lady is as gentle and adaptable as they come—great with people, kids, (only tested with kids 12 and up) and other dogs. Whether you’re looking for a walking buddy, a cuddle partner, or a playful friend for your pup, Ginger will fit right in. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young dog whose self-esteem will fly high while she masters her skills. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Our training requirement is to help every adoption be successful. Ginger has been fully vetted, is up to date on her vaccines, and spayed. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. If you are interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ . **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application.
