These adorable pug mixes have been through so much in life, and while not all of it has been kind, they are still so sweet, loving, and ready to find happiness in their new forever homes!
Rare and beautiful, a wonder to behold, that’s our girl Emerald! This precious girl is a 1.5-year-old Pug mix who weighs 15 pounds. She was rescued from an awful hoarding situation in Marion County, South Carolina, and she is now spending her days learning what it means to be loved and safe. She is still working through her shyness as she acclimates, but as soon as you put her in your arms, she clings to you and hopes for your hugs.
Emerald does well with other small dogs, cats, and calmer children who can respect her space as she gets used to her new surroundings. Her beautiful white, black, and tan markings are so lovely and unique like the rare gemstone for which she was named. Emerald is ready to be loved and cared for the way she deserves. She hopes you will give her the life she longs for and show her the kindness she was always meant to receive.

HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC. All of our dogs are rescued from kill shelters in SC + GA and once ready for adoption live in loving local NJ foster homes until they find forever families of their own. Our fosters begin basic training, housebreaking, and leash-walking skills to help pair you with the perfect pup for life!
