ADOPTION PENDING! NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS! IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. We are ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THIS FAMILY NOW. APPLICATIONS WILL BE REVIEWED STARTING ON Monday, July 29th. Applications may not be contacted until 5-7 days after the 29th. Meet our purebred Pug Litter! These 6 babies came to our rescue when a local breeder could no longer care for all of her breeding dogs. All the dogs from this home where indeed pugs and are said to be purebred dogs. Their mother, Momma Moria is a 12-pound dog. We do not know what pug the father was. This litter is currently 4 weeks old and can go home at weeks old on, 8/21/2024. These puppies are VERY tiny, just weighing in at a little over a pound at 4 weeks old. They will need a home that understands how fragile they will be as a young pup. They are not suited to a home with children under the age of 8. Small children and small animals are not a match. Each puppy in this litter has been held and loved on for hours a day and they are very social and sweet! They love to lick your nose and are very excited to see new people. Our young puppies will require an adopter who is at home a good portion of the day to continue training - no exceptions! This puppy is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and microchipped. This puppy will need to be spayed/neutered at 6 months of age. The Adoption Fee for this puppy $500.00. ***Please note, this pup's immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age and therefore, s/he is not suited for Apartment/Condo living or Town homes without a private fenced yard and will not be able to go to public places where s/he could possibly be exposed to the germs of unvaccinated dogs, such as PetSmart/PetCo and dog parks until s/he is 16 weeks old*** The adoption fee for this dog is $500, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
Hi! My name is Suzanne. I am a really adorable girl, and I am just looking for my furever home! I was surrendered by a breeder after they no longer wanted me. I am half pug, and half Frenchie/Boston terrier. I am 7 months old (born around February 2024), weigh about 12 pounds, and I love dogs, cats and kids. I am doing so well with all of them in my foster home in South Carolina! I am spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, dewormed, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for my age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. I am all ready to be adopted :) My adoption fee is $650, and covers all of my vetting, and includes transport within the next two weeks, if my new family lives in the northeast USA. ***PLEASE DO NOT FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO ADOPT WITHIN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS**** Please visit https://www.apply.daybeforetherainbow.com/ to fill out an adoption application form or email my rescue at taryn@daybeforetherainbow.com! https://foha.org/pet/bee2024/ Hello there, I'm Bee! I'm a sweet older gentleman who's deeply bonded with my smaller buddy, Honey. When I'm in the mood for some love and affection, you'll find me cozied up close, ready for cuddles and gentle pets. Curiosity drives me-I'm always on a mission to explore every nook and cranny of my new environment. Sniffing around, investigating interesting scents, that's my kind of adventure! I've just found my way to FOHA, and quickly found myself a foster home with Honey, so as my friends here and I spend time together, they will discover more about me. Keep an eye on my bio page for updates as I reveal my charming personality and quirky ways. Submit an application, that way the foster team can coordinate a time to meet me and Honey. Then you can experience for yourself how truly special we are. We will make delightful companions for a special home filled with love and warmth. Hope to see you soon. Warm wishes from Bee I am bonded with Honey.

I'm in a foster home! To adopt me, email my foster parent at l903wilson@yahoo.com.Lola is ready to bring love and joy to your heart and home. She is a sweetheart who loves to snuggle, give kisses, and get belly rubs. She enjoys being outside and taking walks and is friendly with other people and dogs we have encountered. Sometimes she gets excited and will bark and jump on you but she is easily corrected. Lola has adapted quickly to her foster home. She responds to her name and comes when called. She lets you know if she has to go out and has had no accidents in the house. She rides well in the car. To find out more about this wonderful pup contact l903wilson@yahoo.com.

Story
Oscar is heading to Maryland from Mexico (via Texas) and we're sure he's thrilled to finally be an inside dog. He's arriving 7/28 will not be available for adoption till his two week decompression is done. He's approximately 2 years old, neutered and crate trained. His TX foster reports he will alert when he needs to go out to take care of business. Oscar doesn't bother or pay attention to the cats in the foster home. He's calm and doesn't bark. He loves running around in the yard, loves his toys and his walks. He will only be adopted to a household that already has a friendly and tolerant dog; he loves to play. As always, we never promote our dogs as house trained or allergy friendly. Interested in adopting Oscar? Click this link to get started: https://bit.ly/4d7XoKd (Just make sure to read the first page in its entirety!) Adoption area: We prioritize homes within 45 miles of Silver Spring, MD. However, fantastic matches in PA, NJ, NY, and WV will be considered!

Story
My friend gave me his dog to watch. Moved and never came back for him. I’m not sure about his shots or anything. But I do know that he’s a purebred. I work too much too train him fully or do anything with him much but when I am home hes loving, loyal and likes to be around his caregiver. Plays nicely with my cat too. He’s very vocal when he wants something. I wish I could keep him. But I want to find a happy loving home that needs him.

This young little girl can be a little shy at first, but warms up quickly, and once she does, she loves you immediatley. Riley loves other dogs and is most comfortable when she is with them. If you are looking for a playmate for your current dog, she is your girl! This little petite brindle would also do best in a home with a yard as she is pretty energetic and needs space for her daily zoomies!  Her compact size also makes her an ideal fit for most any household. Adopting Riley means gaining a faithful friend who's ready to share all her unconditional love with one lucky adopter and thier canine companiion. Riley is the perfect choice if you are seeking a loyal, loving, and lively companion. Will you be hers?Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.       Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
Meet Oliver! Oliver is about 1.5 years old and weighs about 28 lbs. Our best guess for Oliver's breed mix is Boston Terrier/Pitbull (just a guess). Oliver enjoys daily walks and play time in the backyard. Oliver is a happy boy who enjoys doggie toys and gets the evening zoomies. Oliver is good with other dogs and will need another playful dog in his forever home. Oliver is NOT good with cats. Oliver is not in a foster home with children, but we feel he would do well with children 5 years and up. Oliver is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from Canine and Kitties Rescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $375.00, which helps with the cost of routine vet care.
