Shannon is a young athletic Rottweiler/ Pointer mix looking for her forever family! She has a beautiful coat, and an athletic build! Shannon is estimated to be around 1yr old, and weighs 55lbs. She is dog friendly, and very playful. Shannon is working on her house training, crate training, and is learning her basic commands. She has a sweet and friendly personality. This deserving girl was picked up as a stray, then ended up at Walton Animal Control. She soon came down with a respiratory illness. BarkVille Dog Rescue pulled her, and she is now fully healthy and vetted, and ready for her forever family. Shannon has a medium energy level, and would benefit from a family who will provide her basic training and regular exercise. She can jump very high, and will need a tall privacy fenced yard, and owners who will keep an eye on this mischievous girl. Shannon would likely excel with agility training! Since she still needs to fine tune her manners, no small kids for this girl. I got Bella from the Pet Alliance in Orlando, FL in 2017. She was born in 2016. I have all her previous adoption paperwork and full shot records to date. She has only ever needed 1 vet visit per year (each February). She is very healthy and allows owner to cut nails and bathe. Shes very affection motivated. I was told when I adopted her that she would be a one dog home situation, however a few years ago I had a partner that had a dog (you can see in the 3rd photo) and we forced them to meet. It turned out great. However, she doesnt do well at dog parks. She is a very protective dog, however if I had friends come over and we did a very gentle meet and greet, she could become comfortable and remember certain people for future visits. She needs easy adjustment. She loves being with her people, but if another stray dog comes around she will get upset. I would suggest a home with owners that are aware of dog temperament and have had previous dogs. She knows basic commands.
