My journey began at the city shelter when I was just a 2-week-old baby, accompanied by my loving Mom and seven siblings. We're a charming bunch! While one of my seven siblings found a happy home through fostering, my other siblings and I are still at the city shelter, facing the risk of euthanasia. Each one of us embodies a friendly, funny, and endearing spirit. I'm a social butterfly, adoring people so much. I allow strangers to touch or hug me. I'm a very nice, innocent soul. And I'm an extreme toy lover. If I have a toy I like, I go to the corner alone and play with it quietly without my friends knowing. I grew up in a shelter as a baby, so I have less experience. I still need to learn how to eat snacks. When I go for a walk, my tail goes down in unfamiliar places. I wish I had a family who could teach me the taste of delicious snacks and the joy of walking. FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Skye is a 3-year-old, 45 lb Shar-Pei/Pit Bull mix who is looking for her forever home. Skye loves to be with her people and would thrive with a family that wants to give her lots of love and continue her basic training. She is very loving with people and loves to play ball in the yard. Skye is active but also likes to lounge. She would make a great active buddy followed by movie nights cuddling on the couch. She gives the best hugs. She has been in the kennel environment for some time and will need a family that can continue training with her, she knows sit and will work for treats! Skye is reactive to other dogs and needs to be the only dog in the home and would be best suited in a standalone home with a fenced yard. No apartment or city life for her. With training and support her reactivity could definitely improve. No cats or small critters. We are looking for a home with kids over 12 or adult only, Skye can jump when she is excited and is still learning manners! Skye is UTD on shots, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $400.
